After leaving the girls in the care of the soldier, He walked calmly to the Kings Hut. After arriving, the guard at the door removed the sword from the warriors waist, and allowed him to enter.

It was stifling in the room, with the blazing fire in the center of the hut. It was a simple two room affair, the main meeting room and a small bed chamber. The King greeted his general, "Welcome home Kidemonas, what news from the forest?"

Falling to his knees, the warrior bowed to his king in the proper fashion, "My lord, i have completed my mission. on my way back to the camp, i sensed the enemy twelve miles from here, moving slowly to our position."

The king felt troubled with the news, "very well Kidemonas, retire to your hut and prepare yourself for battle. I want you ready in case an advance army shows up before we are prepared for battle."

"Yes my king..." rising, the warrior left the hut, and worked his way back to his own. Knocking on his own door, "Is it ok to come in?" he asked to the women on the other side of the door.

Sage glanced up when she heard the knock on the door but didn't say anything as she continued to wring her hair out. She would let one of the others talk. She did throw the mirages back up over her and Delilah though. Sage glanced at Delilah waiting to see if she was going to explode. When Delilah exploded it was best to just sit back with a bowl of popcorn and enjoy the show.

Delilah whispered quietly, "Are you sure it's safe for you to maintain that illusion Sage?" Delilah found herself able to 'morph' her teeth into slightly vampiric looking ones, but was still not fully able to resume a 'normal' human appearance. Remembering the man outside probably waiting to enter, Delilah looked about the room to see some manner of response from the girls. Sage was drying her hair, Flicker was probably in a dry corner nose-deep in a book and Jasmine? Delilah called out after a sigh, "Sure, just watch where you step... I think Flicker trod in something." Completely false, but bound to relieve some tension. Or possibly create some.

He opened the door and stepped inside, "What an interesting play on words that....Watch where i step..." He walked towards his chair and sat infront of the fire. "so tell me why you all are here in this valley. i think i deserve that kind of explanation after that."

Flicker looked up owlishly from her book, noticing finally that someone had walked into the room. "Sure, but in return, you have to answer our questions as well. Like, why is there a military camp here? Is there a war going on?"

Sitting silently for a minute, he slowly turned his head to the girl sitting in the cornor. "Where have you people been? the war has been going on for years, and has already spread over half of greece."

Flicker, thinking fast, said the first thing that came to mind. "Uh...we're foreigners! We just came to Greece from Pheonicia! Yeah, that's it! Right..." Flicker cursed herself inwardly for the half baked excuse, hoping to all the gods that Phoenicia existed as a country during this time period.

Sage rolled her eyes as she looked around for something to hit Flicker with. Her eyes began to sparkle with mischief as she glanced at the towel she had been using to dry her hair. The towel was damp and her hair was as dry as she was going to get it for a while. She lightly tossed the towel so that it landed on Flicker's head. Sage also gave Delilah a reassuring nod about the mirages. It wasn't bothering her at all to make Delilah look normal or her hair to look like Delilah's.

Flicker spluttered, gettling a mouthfull of wet towel. She proceeded to glare at Sage, thinking, oh come on! Her story wasn't that bad!

"News travels really slow in our part of Phoenicia. We only found out about that incident with the previous King of Sparta last year." Hoping that ambiguity would help them here, Delilah wondered if her powers to change other people had been affected. Silently, she blackened Kidemonas' hair and replicated the look of soot on his face. Nope. Powers the same. After ducking the return flight of the wet towel, Delilah moved out of towel-firing range.

Sage smirked at the look Flicker gave her before she threw the towel right back this time adding a mirage to it so the towel appeared to be a tent and covered Flicker. She couldn't resist.

"Well then, why are you in this valley? what were you doing in pans grove? and why did my hair suddenly get warm and then cool." he asked, reaching over and stoking the fire with a long stick.

Flicker thought fast, summoning up all the knowledge she had of the country. "Well, as Delilah said, where we came from, news didn't travel fast. A couple years ago, before we even heard anything about any war, we went with a merchant ship, of which my brother was the owner of...a storm came up though, and our ship crashed on the coast of Turkey, and if there were any survivors besides us, I don't know what happened to them. We decided to head for Greece, where we knew some people who my brother traded with, who would be willing to lend us a ship back home. But some weird stuff kept happening that hindered us. This one city state was under seige by a rival one, and we were stuck there for years. We only just arrived in Greece not too long ago, and we could definitely use directions." Hey, she was getting good at this!

Sage was trying not to gape at Flicker. If she recalled her history right people didn't know Turkey by that name. She rolled her eyes and eyed her friend before deciding it wasn't worth moving to shake her. For all Sage knew Flicker was right. She didn't really care she just wanted this guy to either tell them what they wanted to know or leave. She didn't want to be stuck in a camp full of soldiers.

Flicker slowed her mind down for second, and noticed the soldier giving her a strange look. It then dawned on her she had entirely screwed up. This is what she got for making up elaborate lies, when she knew she was horrible at it, and not letting Delilah take charge. Goddarnit, if she knew they were going to end up in ancient Greece, she would have spent less time on Napoleon, and more time on the Medditeranean. Stupid countries, with their name changes, and their empires...she looked nervously at the soldier. "Uh...oops? Um...sorry...I'm not very good at lying. Besides, if we told you the truth, you would have thought we were demented! " Flicker was not ever going to attempt to make up a lie again. EVER.
