...How? *half-smile* You don't exactly look like the 'angelic' type.

*Melli can't help laughing at that* Perceptive of you. I'm not. But then, he's technically not an angel anymore, is he now?

*Luke tried NOT to let on how hopelessly ******** confused he was about it all. Or how desperate he was to know more.*
How'd you meet him outside the Brink?

*blinks, surprised. He thinks of Maggie. And thinks 'Damn the guy does a lot of that'.*
Wow. That's nice of him. What happened?

*Melli shrugs, wandering back over to where she left her drink* Oh, just a matter of a mutual enemy and some impeccable timing on Tavin's part. *she swirls the wine in the glass, then lifts it to her lips for a sip* He does have quite a knack for that.

... So it was a coincidence?

*Something else Tavin did a lot.*
*Just like Maggie - Tavin'd shown up and saved her life, fighting an enemy.*
Were you fighting the Seraphim?

*Melliandra shakes her head* He's Tavin's enemy, not mine. *she considers that for a moment, then chuckles and adds* At least, not presently.

*That killed his theory. Luke still thought there might be something to figure out. But he didn't have the first ******** clue what it was. It bugged the hell out of him.*
*He couldn't do a thing about it right now. That bugged him more.*
*looking frustrated, he said* Hang around here a little more, and that'll change.

So I've been told. *Mell polishes off the last of her wine and sets the glass down again* I don't intend to waste time or energy worrying about it though. He'll do as he pleases and so will I. *She grins, and on that note, vanishes away*
**Exit Melliandra**

*Luke sighs as Melliandra disappears. Well that was interesting... It got him nowhere, but it was interesting.*
*He smirks as he remembers a line from the Simpsons. "The lesson is - Never try."*
*Luke chuckles to himself. He walks around the room, inspecting the pool table, the foosball table, and the Arcade.*
*After he's through playing around with things, he circles back to the Jukebox. He looks at where Melliandra left her wine glass.*
*Luke looks over his shoulder and around the room, making sure no one is there.*
