I'd like to see how this entire thing would lay out before I remake the GA again. Last time I made it, things went down hill because I didn't get the help from those who said they would help. Thus we ended up in the Chatterbox and I let it die before letting the name get ruined.

My primary interests lie in ASDF and Department 5, but I'm very interested in reviving the Gaian Army and Gaian Navy. My project after the mass mailing completes is the design of Gaia World Map-style artwork for the recruitment 'outpost'. (A thread designed to pull in RPers from outside for the entire GNG guild to recruit from.)
Also, as the designer of the Antagonism System, I'll definitely be helping to set up the Gaian Army with it's counter-faction so things don't trail off and get dull. 3nodding

Tutsumi  The GA won't be opening up too too soon though. There is already another guild who took the name during our 'absence' and they don't wish to change the name.Well, we had it first. Unless they're also a derivative of the first GA, then we'll just tell 'em FYAD.

I'm definitely up for doing either protag or antag for GA. Nida joined GA before the ASDF was even formed, so I have a soft spot for the ol' infantry.

Gaian Army-ers! (Tutsumi and Hikaru Yui this means you! 3nodding ) Please look over the Antagonism System, and think about what kind of opposing faction you think would be cool to play against. I've had thoughts of Aekea-style robot armies, alternate dimension militaries, space pirate amazon ninja catgirls...ok, I ripped off that name from a very fun game...and the like. Also, what sorts of help are you looking for? I am currently on a "help GNG Liiiiiiiiiii~iiive~!" kick, so let me know what you need to get things going again. If it's recruitment, you should be aware that the GNG is developing a recruitment thread where we can RP. While the artwork is really really crude right now, I've got a mockup of the recruitment outpost island map. The refined, full version of the map will look like a section of Gaia World Map, to be placed on our recruitment thread. (Details on this image, and discussion in the Outpost Discussion thread) Mass PM is complete too, all inactive (and many non inactives) GNG-registered members have been sent notice that we're up and running again. I imagine we'll see more people trickle in here now that that's done, so please keep an eye out 3nodding You can snap up updated Gaian Army and Navy coins too, I finished work on those a while back. They're transparent, so you can quote them and they'll still look nifty 3nodding

I'll get back to work on the GA sigs as well. I had started to remake them and everything...got them down to perfection. I like this idea of yours, Ai...alot. Tan, they were never part of the GA not once. They just took the name because we weren't 'alive' and they appearantly (according to them) asked around, even though I never saw that thread where they 'did'. Call me stupid, but man, all of these information posts have such technicalities and long words @_@. I can barely understand lol.
Either way, I still hold the position of mech pilot with my classic (or not so classic, depends on how long you've known me) mech, Gunshin. Because of this, I think space fractions of I guess, large booming robots would be interesting to fight against. Although depending on the RP-style (like how I cant understand a WORD Lindy says when she RPs), it might vary. I dont like seeing all these technical terms. Straight out battles are what I enjoy since I don't have to read some three paragraph post. But small ground troops are boring. One liners FTW =_= haha
As for the emblems and sigs. No offence, but I find the original GA *points to Tutsumi's link* emblem to be more tasteful. Using the original GA sigs would be awesome. Screw those wannabes. I'll blow their name-stealing butts to Pluto and beyond.

Hehe sweatdrop Lemme see if I can summarize Antagonism System for you then.
Antag gives you points to spend and a faction to fight against. When you wanna do something that might be called twinkish, just spend one of these points. The points you spend go to the bad guys, but they'll let you do it.
I never was involved in GA RPs (though I've played with -Mouse- in a couple)... has it always been ground troops, or was it tanks and cannons and gunships too?
I definitely don't mind the preference. That's art for you 3nodding My style of GA emblem came about because I couldn't emulate Tutsumi's design, but I used to have a job designing coins. This is also why I keep calling the emblems coins. sweatdrop
If it wasn't such a pain to create a rule on Gaia for this, I imagine that claiming a group name that was already taken to be a warnable offense. I guess this is my way of saying, "I really don't like that they did that."

Ahh, that makes more sense. Sounds pretty cool, though now it's more like chess than anything!
And well, when I first started GA (god knows how long ago this was...) we fought against ground troops, tanks, heavy artillary and a few mechs. I left near the middle of the story, so I wouldn't know if they added anything else.
And yea, I thought it was pretty stupid they didn't even ask the original Gaian Army members if it was ok to use the name. If this were RL (which I realize it isn't), wouldn't it be copyright infridgement? <--- Hikaru can't spell
On an offtopic note....I wonder if I should change my name back @_@
