I'm sorry you had to see that...
The hawk circled, staying a little ways off; something menacing emanated from Emma, and it did not wish to get caught in the middle of it.

Sharp eyes caught a metallic glint moving through the forests, and the raptor focused on it...several metallic glints, to be more precise.

Remus has made his move, I believe.

There have been reports of suspicious activity in the Schwarzwald, Herr Hauptmann. I suggest that you and your men take a look.

Wilhelm trudged through the knee-deep Russian snow, thinking back to his days on the Western Fronts. He would die to be transferred back there. He just wanted to get out of this blasted place.

As he stepped further and further, his thin men struggling behind him, he felt a strange tugging at the very fiber of his being. The tugging that usually came when he was about to find himself in the BattleDome. 'Not now!' Wilhelm thought, but it did nothing.

In seconds, he was whipped through God knows what got him to the BattleDome, and landed face-flat onto the floor of the very Black Forest he was thinking of just moments earlier. "Augh..." The officer stood up, brushed himself off, and looked around.

Quiet, just how he remembered it when he was a boy. But what were those purple flashes of light in the distance? The officer drew his Luger, and walked carefully towards the light to have a look.

She saw Remus and Wilhelm below but paid each no heed. Thunder boomed overhead and violet lightning stabbed towards the earth as the clouds turned into dark, heavy thunderheads.

Emma brought the storm crashing down upon them all, and the droplets of rain froze as they touched her skin. She stood above the encampment like the angel of death as a part of her mind kicked and screamed at her to stop before she did something she regretted.

REM-24 got a sudden transmission from the squad leader in Team Bravo.

"Legatus! We have picked up a heat signature up ahead. Human, I believe. Orders?"
the squad leader transmitted.

"Investigate. If hostile, engage at range. Short controlled blasts." REM-24 replied.

"Affirmative. Investigating." Team Bravo moved ahead, towards Willi. Though he wouldn't know it, targeting systems were locking on to him.

Edit: REM-24 made note that it was beginning to rain, but the legionaries of Techno Legion were designed to withstand the weather and so it didn't bother him.

Renu, could barely move, his mind was racing with pain, the necklace was overcharged and now it was consuming him in a black liquid that was cold and stung his heated, burnt skin. He couldn't tell if it was healing him or trying to eat him, it didn't matter now if he made it through this all he'd make it his personal goal to shoot the voice in the face and take the money promised to him.

The oil-based ink that held Scribbler's disguise began to melt at the rain, and she sighed, letting the illusion fall away and return to the bottle. Her wings flapped idly to keep at the same altitude Emma was at, quickly becoming drenched in the torrential downpour.

She understood quite well what the enchantress was feeling at the moment...but helping was out of the question. Dratted ink.

Wilhelm frowned when he heard the rumbling of thunder above him. "Perfect. Just perfect." He sighed as the freezing rain began to hammer on his pale skin. It seemed bad weather had the tendency to follow him. He turned up his collar and buttoned his coat, crossing his free arm over his chest in an attempt to keep warm.

He had the greatest feeling he was being watched, and kept looking over his shoulder as though expecting to catch a glimpse of someone. But he didn't see anyone. The officer shuddered from the cold and from the dreadful feeling of insecurity, and decided to rest under the branches of a pine. It would offer at least some protection from the rain.

The squad leader of Team Bravo watched as Willi huddled under a pine tree. The rain made tapping noises on the automaton's armor. From what the squad leader could assess, Willi wasn't a threat at that particular moment. He moved closer, signaling for his units to move closer. Soon, they surrounded the pine. The squad leader's x-ray sensors scanned over Willi, revealing his skeleton the weapons he carried. If Willi were to look up at that moment, he would have seen a tall metal figure with glowing eyes staring down at him. The squad leader relayed this information to REM-24.

"Orders, Legatus?" the squad leader asked.

"I could kill them all...turn their minds on themselves and watch the whole place burn."

She spoke the truth.

"I could turn their bones to molten lead and let the earth swallow them whole. It would be over then."

She stretched out a hand, feeling her own black magic pulse through her. "Perhaps I shall."

Hesitatingly, through the still-raging storm, Scribbler spoke.
"What if...what if that's what he wants?"
Emma seemed to be radiating darkness, and the vampire could almost taste the power thrumming beneath the surface. A much fainter aura came from the Soulless, but likely made of the same stuff.

"If you attack now...are you certain you will not regret it?"

Wilhelm scrambled back onto his feet when he heard a rustling in the brush. A glint of metal caught his eye, and he reciprocated by pulling out his own gun. But as he realized that he was outnumbered, and not by humans, but by a robots, he quickly realized that his Luger would do him no good. "Scheiße..." he muttered.

The officer looked to whom he guessed was the squad leader, standing straight and holding himself with pride. As though ready to die, but with dignity.

Violet light danced around Emma's fingers, threaded with tendrils of blackness.

Please...stop me.

The part of Emma's mind that was still her own (and not taken by her own inner evils) reached out to Scribbler with its remaining strength.

Please. If I do this-there's no returning.

REM-24 could see Willi through a connection to the squad leader's photo receptors.

"He's not making an hostile movements. Hold him there until I arrive. Team Alpha and Team Charlie, await my orders. " the Legatus commanded. REM-24 made his way over to where team Bravo held Willi. He approched the German officer. Accessing his language banks, REM-24 spoke in Willi's native tongue.

"I am Legatus REM-24 of the Galactic-Roman Empire. What is your name and your mission, soldier?" he asked in a deep metallic voice.

The storm had lulled, allowing the vampire to reach into her sketchbook and clumsily scribble a bubble around the elven enchantress in an attempt to siphon off the excess darkness.

"Please don't do this, Lady Emma. You're not like this, you can fight it."
Scribbler swooped closer, ready to try and stop Emma physically if need be.

[...should I roll?]

"That sounds suspiciously like a prayer to me, Sorceress," spoke an enigmatic reverend. Nyrk approached Emma, holding a vial bearing a particularly elegant religious symbol on it. It was his intention to purge Emma's corruption, and by the will of his God, he resolved not to fail.

Nyrk entered conflict with her, struggling to keep her restrained long enough to expel the imposing darkness. It would not be any easy task, but so long as the darkness does not consume her entirely, Nyrk would stand a chance.
