Almarea blushed again and nestled closer, "I'm not quite sure I like that idea, but I like what it means." She kissed his skin gently, "I'm so happy to be here with you. I'm happy that I got to meet your family, even if I'm a little scared."

"I'm glad." She nestled against his neck again, her thoughts hanging delicately in the future, little futures...He'd had kids before, she wondered, if one day he'd want more with her or if he wanted this to be enough?

She thought for a moment before answering him, "A small plant in the room and bark to brew tea. It's all I require except you." She lowered her eyes, blushing furiously again wishing she could stop.
"How many children do you have?"

"Six so far. I have another like Orin. His name is Naru. He is a noble sort. I believe he is courting a merpony who comes from a family of great warriors. I will look forward to their offspring. And there is Astranaar. He is blue with blonde hair, like his mother. I know little about him." Nightfire shrugged indifferently, "Filigree is the last that their mother took with her. He was a handsome boy, though his bright blonde hair would have made it hard for him to fit in in my dark world."
"And you've met Ator, Irsa, and Orin." The dark pegasus couldn't help but smile. "Ator is the most brilliant apothecary I have seen in ages. His gift is great, and he makes me proud often. And there is great power in Orin, though he rarely uses it. He is a most honorable in his doings. His mother is too." There was an eye roll from Nightfire. "It has gotten in the way of several good opportunities. But he is an adult, and must live his own life."
"And then there's Irsa. Her bark is truly worse than her bite. She is the most immature of my children, but I suspect that that is more of an act than the truth. My dark daughter is both blessed and cursed. She can do almost everything I can and several things that I cannot. She is plagued with a great power for reading minds. I am not sure she is entirely capable of turning it off. It is a terrible burden to have so many voices running through one's head. I worry for her most."
Nightfire sighed and ran a hoof through his mane. He was clearly stressed and worried for Irsa. "I hope that you and my children can be friends. They need a woman's touch. They have only ever had me."
