Which one?

I've decided to write a little soemthing i think needs to be said, and other people should help me put the list together. I'm going to write down a list of Standards i think our Rp's should follow.. Here it goes, you'll get it as yuo go down the list.

Standard Setting Anime and Movies Roleplaying:

Pirate Characters: Sid Meyer's, or Disney's Pirates, i don't care much for that one piece shiz, it just doesnt make sense.. Unless japenese pirates are actually like that O.o;

Ninja Characters: Of course, Naruto will set the standard for Ninja characters here, considering it just maes so much more sense than Beverly Hills Ninja >.>

Martial Arts: Of course the standard of this would be set by the masters, it's pretty much a given, Bruce, Jackie, some other folks

Samurai Characters: I havn't watched Samurai Champloo, i here it's good, but till i do or till i hear any more about it, go out and rent 'The 7 Samura'. It's a Classic film made in the fities, straight from china about Actual Samurai, it's raelly awesome 3nodding Other good reference could be found in 'The Last Samura', but don't be the westerner O.o;

Sci-Fi: to be honest, the most Realistic Sci Fi out there is Galactiga, i don't really care for any andromida References, but if you wanna go totally theoretical and fun as hell, i prefer Star Trek Standards with my Sci Fi roleplays, mainly on account that almost everything in Star Wars makes little to no sense, It's more fiction than Sci Fi

Vampire Characters: I like Hellsing the best, and i tend to use it to standardize my Vampire roleplays, along with many references from Interview and the such, although, the books i havn't read. And if you wanna truly be fluent in Vampirisms, read Bram Stoker's Dracula, that's the base you know, but whatever you do, don't watch 'Dracula' the movie, cause it sucks.. bad, and hardly follows the book at all, atleast according to my lil' sis who has read it.

Succubi and such seem to follow Darkstalkers all over this guild, so of course, Darkstalkers sets the standard for those characters.

Miscelleneous magic spells and the such of course should be set by either Slayers or DnD in my book.

Misscellenous Powers can easily come from the DC Comic universe. Don't know a whole lot of DC characters to take after? Try looking at DK's DC Character Encyclopidia, best 40 bucks i ever spent. It's full of graet art, every DC character you can think of with Bio's, and a list of there powers. It's perfect for picking up some insperation for new abilities.

Plus StarFire from teen titans is a hellevalot sexier in that book.

Well its more like, my views on certain Rp's i guess, but why would it be more boring?

By the way, Aonice. I definatly recommend the Seven Samurai *has it on VHS* Two other Akira Kurosawa films based around that area that I liked were Throne of Blood(a feudal Japan adaptation of Shakesphere's Macbeth) & Rashamon. My sister likes Ran but I didn't get it.

Anywho I can understand what Gatz is saying but then again making subforums dedicated to some of the RP styles mentioned yet keeping with the busty theme could be intresting.

...Pretty accurate standards! I pretty much do the same thing. But, I try not to. It just takes some of the depth out of the characters if I have ideas already about them, before RPing with them.

I got a free demo of several anime titles & that Samurai 7 was included. I didn't think too much of it but I guess it's because it followed the movie so closely(minus minor details such as the addition of robots) that I knew what was going to happen almost scene for scene.
