Flit's face lightened up some as Ryu mentioned children who may be magickal creatures. She hoped he could meet some children with whom he could share this experience with, and she could find more like her. "That's really neat!" she said as she tilted her head in delighted interest. "Do you know anyone from the school?" she asked very curious.

"I've been here for less time then you have." Ryu answered, chuckling a bit, as he raised his head up, gripping it with the hand that Flit wasn't on the shoulder of.
"How would I possibly know any of them? But......what if we could enroll there? Then.....then I wouldn't have to go back home.....and we could stay close to Mom...."
He smiled at the thought, turning his eyes in the direction of the staircase Fae had dissapeared beyond.

Flit didn't know what to say, so she scooted to the table to sit in front of Ryu. A loud ding was heard as the receiver was slammed down. Fae returned in a flurry her cheeks red. She looked a bit annoyed as she sat to pour herself some tea. She opened the lid of the little pot and dropped in a tea ball of chamomile and lavender she had prepared earlier. She put the lid back on and leaned her elbow on the table then rested her chin on her closed fist, gazing at Ryu with a flush to her cheeks and a small smile.

"Um...Mom?" The blue-crowned boy asked, turning his attention to the Enchantress who had entered the room once again. "Are you...allright?"
Forcing himself to put his head against the back of the chair, the boy's cyan eyes showed the worry he felt. Had the...whatever it was she was doing, not gone well? Would.......would he have to return?

Fae blinked away the reverie in her eyes as she looked at her little boy who was growing quickly into a respectable man. From his cerulean pools for eyes, to his adorable mop of royal blue hair, he was a handsome child. "Oh no, please don't look so down. I tried to petition for the sale of you father's estate, from your adoptive parents. The business man whom I spoke to had nothing but nice things to say, and the sale looks hopeful. I did mention you, and it seems your adoptive parents are out for an errand for you. They plan to enroll you in the children's academy that this town was built for, because your adoptive mother wishes to travel and they had agreed you would be best suited for a school with more children your age and at your learning level I'm suspecting the man. I spoke to was in fact your adoptive father, he was just playing the ever dilligent banker." Fae blurted unable to contain her happiness to give Ryu good news, and hoping to also cheer him to his happy self again.

Flit grew sleepier each moment, her eyes fluttered slightly as her head nodded forward, then she would wobble and catch herself and do it all over again. The last thing she remembered was Fae closing the lid to the teapot as her eyes closed and she slid to the table and rested her arms under her head. She curled into a ball, tucking her gossamer wings in close to her body and began to snuffle lightly in her sleep.

"R...really?" The boy said, his face alighting with joy. With a smile, he slipped out of his chair, scooped up the tiny green fairy, and darted around the table, wrapping his arms around his mother's back.
"Dad probably just wanted me out of the house.....doesn't cost him a dime then. And Mom...well, Mom's story makes sense....she would be the one who wanted to travel....."

Flit was violently awoken by Ryu's blissful outburst. But she couldn't help but grin like the cat who ate the canary as he squeezed her a little too roughly in joy as their souls alighted in joy together. Fae was happy to see Ryu smiling so abundantly, not a care in the world. But when he ran to her, wrapped his arms about her waist and hugged her so tightly, with so much joy, she swayed at the first hug from her son that she had ever had, the feeling of joy and sorrow at the loss of hugs from what was no longer a possible past. Fae began to weep with happiness. She patted his head, unsure how to give back the feeling his simple joyous hug had given her. "I-I tried to call the headmaster of the university, but it seems they are away on some important business. I'm not familiar, or introduced to them, but I would like to meet, and discuss, before your parents have the opportunity. There is rumor that some of these children are the very creatures whose magicks you saw. They could be of great importance to the task at hand." Fae stated as she tried to sober Ryu's excitment with the reason he was here.

((Lolz. She's quite unfamilier with the headmaster. Cause its a headmistress. blaugh ))
"Task?" Ryu asked, mentally apologizing for Flit's rude awakaning. It wasn't a spoken apology, as much as it was a simple feeling of sorrow.
His parents were coming.....no matter what, he couldn't let his Dad catch him alone....there's no flipping way that he'd be happy about Ryu essentially sneaking out. In his household, his rules was law. Lawbreakers must be brought to justice for their crimes.

Fae nodded. "I think the best course of action would be you return home. You've only been gone for a few hours, you'll be home just in time for dinner." Fae smiled sweetly. "It looks like we have to take some time to sort out more important matters," she mused quietly as she released his wrists from behind her waist and steadied him in front of her. "You concern yourself with getting to know Flit first," Fae motioned her head to his hand where the little green faerie struggled uncomfortable but happy, "You have gone through a lot and you're about to make a big move. Your whole life as you know it is going to change" she said happily as she let go of his wrists. Flit squirmed to get out of Ryu's hot and now sweaty palm. "Lemme go!" she said in mock annoyance.

Ryu laughed, letting his hand go before his sweat could dampen the little fairy's wings. But his laughter swiftly drained as what his mother had said sunk in. "I......I'm going back.." He said, his face paling. "Alone? No....please no..." He said, his cyan eyes wide in fear as he stepped back slightly.

When Flit was released she shook herself a bit and smoothed her hair. She glided to Fae's waiting hand where she sat quietly, feeling Ryu's terror rise up in the back of her throat, she tried to stay calm for his sake. She kept her mouth closed, Fae would make things alright..... "Ryu darling," Fae rushed the 2 steps of distance between them and grabbed the boys shoulders and he looked like he was about to flee from the room he was so scared, and pressed him tightly to her. She eased out of the squeeze and backed up a step and then put her hands out to hold his face so she can look into his eyes. "Nothing bad is going to happen. Just be calm my love," she cooed gently. "You must be calm and bravely go home. Your adoptive parents have plans, and though it sounds as if their intentions are cruel, you will be close to me soon enough. It does not sound as if you're in trouble......."

((O.o Odd how I'm modeling Ryu's Dad after my own. Unintentionally. Forchinatly, my Mom divorced this man.))
"Of course it doesn't." He said, tears falling from his eyes. "He's good at covering himself, making him seem like the victim. And since I'm moving out, he'll have free reign over what he could do to me, since he can blame any injurys on you and this adventure." The boy explained, shutting his eyes, and squeezing out a few more tears.
"I....guess I don't have a choice." He said, minetes later. "But......I just.....its so...." Ryu stammered, trying to force a coherent sentence out of himself.

"He cannot lay blame to you, or me, or any adventure. I merely stated you had signed up for some information on holistic healing for a school project and was contacting about such information. That's when the academy was explained to me. That's when I acted surprised about your address, said I had always adored the house and wondered if it was for sale, I gave a more than reasonable sum as an estimate of what I would pay and the man seemed to fall over himself with joy at the prospect." Fae informed the now emotional boy, trying to sound the voice of reason and explain so he would not spook further. Fae leaned close and looked him in the eyes. Her emerald eyes sparkling happily. "Ryu, I think your father is entirely too happy about the sale of that burdensome estate, being able to appease your false mother and her selfish desires, and be rid of you as well, with little to no dent in his pocket for all the trouble." Fae tried to sound optimistic as she spoke scathingly of those wretched people. Fae had sensed the man's aura over the telephone, self involved, self important little man who picked on the child he was supposed to care for and brought into his heart as well as his home, all because he wanted none of the life he was living. He wanted only what he wanted, to be fat, wealthy and surrounded by possessions instead of love, warmth and family.

Ryu sniffled, taking all of this in. His parents were leaving.......he would have the house all to himself......."What about the money? Do I still have enough to keep paying all the servents? Or is he taking them with him?" The boy asked, remembering the occasional kind maid, or the forgiving waiter, all of which had families of their own to support. He couldn't bear to imagine the thought of all of them being laid off.....
