Osso clapped when the babe mastered the new words.

Ariane smiled. Her mouth parted as if about to say something, but all that came out was a scream as the cell phone started buzzing and ringing in her back pocket. Barely calm, she fumbled with the device before bringing it to her ear and making a 'sorry, one minute' motion to Anvion.

"Bonjour," she said into the phone and out came the reply from the other end of the phone line. The voice was female, unmistakenably, but all words were jumbled and muffled and in some foreign language all together. "mais Osso a tellement l'amusement..." the silver -blue haired woman responded back before a Mmhmm and a nod. The phone soon left her ear and was pocketed once more.

"I am very sorry, but my daughter needs us home," the werewolf said to Anvion before calling over to her charge for the day. "Osso, come on le petit, we need to go home.

Osso looked up when he heard his name and the words that soon followed melted the smile on his face. Go!? he didn't want to go! He was having fun with Berg and oh, this just wasn't fair! The boy started to open his mouth to retort, but being that this was Nana and not his mother, he held his tongue. A solem nod was given and he slowly waved to Berg and started walking to Ariane.

___The Greenhouse (rp with Rabid and Ike)

Sitting on the floor of the greenhouse, reading a pulp horror magazine with morbid interest, Julian leaned against the glass wall of the greenhouse. He sneezed once or twice and wiped his nose with an oft-abused handkerchief, wishing Lenore hadn't wanted to visit the place so badly. His allergies were likely to make his head explode.

"Bless you!"

Perched high in a tangle of thick woody vines, Lenore peeked down at Julian and grinned as he looked around for her. He waved and sneezed again as he spotted her, making her laugh.

The vines had grown close to the ceiling - there was very little room for her to move around without creeping on her hands and knees.

"Wonder where everyone else is?" she said to herself, watching a creeping vine grow steadily upwards towards the sun, unfolding thick green leaves.

Julian looked up from his magazine slowly, a pleased half-smile already on his face.

"Dhaza elleh," he replied courteously, getting up off the floor and stowing his handkerchief. Moving forward and taking her hand, he kissed it lightly before straightening again and nodding a greeting to Ike.

Startled, Lenore jumped. Seeing as the ceiling was three inches above her head, the result was a bit painful.

"Dammit! Freakin' glass of evil - stupid miserable dumb-" she spouted, rubbing the bump as she cut herself a hole in the mess of vines. Worming through the hole, she landed gracelessly twelve feet below on a mass of potted dandelions, wincing as she felt the plants crushed beneath her. Getting up quickly and dusting herself off, she looked to see who had greeted her. The voice hadn't sounded that familiar...

"Who..." she began, then gave a delighted laugh. "Holy crap, you grew!

"Whaa?" Rabid watched Julian carefully, half expecting him to gnaw on her fingers or something. Hm.

"How are you?"

"Yeah, I grew!" Ike laughed and rushed over to Len, giving her a quick bear hug, "What's new since...yanno...last week?"

Julian smiled a little slyly, shrugging.

"Alright, I suppose. Sitting around waiting for Crow to come back from work. How about you?"

Forgetting the smarting bump on her head as she took in the new look, Lenore nodded with pleased appreciation.

"Nice....very nice..." she said, admiring his tail. Thinking his question over carelessly, she put up her hands in mock frustration.

"Not a damn thing - I've been wandering around the grounds for ages, there's not a blessed thing to do. Well, except try to keep Julian from burning things, but I can hardly call that entertainment." she said wryly, peering over at Julian mildly. Rolling her eyes, she took Ike by the hand and pointed randomly into the jungle-like depths of the greenhouse.

"C'mon, lets leave the lovebirds to their nauseating fun, huh?" she said, sticking out her tongue slightly in a "good-grief-adults-are-gross" kind of way.

Ike gave a gutteral growl before being turned away.

"Race you to those vines," he pointed into the mass of green, his voice having dropped a good octave. Without waiting for a response, he sprinted forward toward the vines ahead.

"Eh. Truthfully? Trying to keep you from undeath," Rabid shrugged, "but what the Hell did you saaaaay?" She was curious, although probably for no good reason.

"Hey, no fair!"

Lenore sprinted after Ike, ducking past the plants and leaping lightly over thick roots that jutted from the floor. She wasn't that fast a runner, but through common sense she knew she could go faster...

Spreading her arms out and flapping like mad, she gave herself a little extra push, soaring up an inch or so and speeding forward.

"Beat that!" she crowed as she caught up to him, gaining the lead by an inch or so.

"Just 'good afternoon', that's all," Julian replied, returning to his spot and picking up the magazine. Rolling it up and stowing it in his baggy coat pocket, he gave Rabid a quizzical look.

"What d'you mean, undeath? Is something wrong with me?"

"Alright!" Ike laughed and dropped to all fours and folded his ears back, loping like an animal and gaining the lead by...well...not that much. A foot or so before the hanging vines he leaped up and attached himself to the one on the left.

"I can climb well now," he grinned.

"Mmkee," Rabid nervously examined her hands, "Well, you can't die, yanno. And no, no...there's nothing wrong with you. It just seems that all of the men in my life want to tear your head off and light you on fire. Moreso now than before."

The situation was getting more and more complicated as Ike grew bigger. If she lost control over him, there's no saying what kinda of insane stunt he would try. Especially with Liam half on his side.

Len stopped short and tried to regain her breath - she hated running. Grabbing hold of one of the vines, she hoisted herself up and scuttled over to a knot of tangled growth, perching and looking down at him and grinning slightly.

"Awesome."

Folding his arms across his chest, Julian glanced sidelong in the direction Ike had gone.

"What else is new. The day isn't complete unless someone wants to kill me," he said dryly. Not that he particularly cared - he was ******** supernatural. Let them try; he wouldn't mind ripping out a couple more tongues. He was tired of trying to be nice and decent. He had the ability, why not use it?

In fact, his attitude towards his problems had grown considerably more lax since the fun he'd had with William...almost alarmingly so.

"Watch this," Ike murmured. He peered down to be sure he has a good foot hold, peered up toward the tangle of growth above him, and once again began climbing. It was a bit more difficult, not being able to dig his claws into anything, but Liam had taught him how to climb ropes, adn this wasn't much different.

Upon reaching the top, he wrapped his long legs around the vine and flipped backward, hanging upside down.

"I'll be as good as you eventually," he panted.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Rabid rolled her eyes and patted Julian on the shoulder, "We all know you can hold your own, too. Don't go tearing people's tongues out." She snickered. She'd very much like to set him on Mei-Vaar as a whole. See how they'd like it.

It took him a minute to smile in response.

"I...won't." he said slowly, eyes flickering darkly back over to Ike's path for a second.

"I promise."

Wishing she could climb as well as he thought she could, Len scrambled over the vines and crouched above him. Twisting and turning to the proper position, she hooked her legs behind a thick vine and hung like Ike did.

Grinning at the upside-down view, she put her hands behind her head and curled upwards a little to ease the flow of rushing blood giving her a bit of a headache.

"Still can't fly though, yet, huh?" she asked sympathetically - she still wasn't quite clear that not all squirrels could fly. She'd just figured it'd be a skill he'd acquire as he got older.

Rabid's eyes narrowed slightly as she looked at Julian, and then in the direction of her son's voice.

"You hurt him, and I'll make sure you never see the light of day again," she sighed and slid further down the wall, her back cracking in protest. This whole insanely homicidal thing was going to take a whole lot of getting used to. There was no point in continuing to talk about it, though.

"Anything new?"

"Nope. HERK!" Ike bent in half and latched onto the knots above him, trying to shake the blood out of his head.

"I don't have those flaps of skin," he let an arm drop to demonstrate, "I won't ever fly."

His face still fixed into a neutral expression, Julian slid down next to Rabid. He was unperturbed by the threat, nor the fact that she'd had to make it in the first place. Tugging the magazine out of his pocket where it was poking into him and discarding it, he gave a shrug.

"Nothing much, really. Bored to tears as usual. It'd be great if there was like an army of undead trying to take over the grounds or something - I could go for a little life and death battle to break the monotony."

He leaned back, resting his head against the glass.

"Though, Crow never did get around to getting those bodies out of the tree last month. I looked today and they were gone -maybe they're shambling around eating innocent bystanders."

The note of amusement in his voice finally broke the neutral expression, and he smiled with innocent pleasure at the idea.

"Aw, that sucks. It woulda been fun to have someone to practice with," Len said, a little disappointed. Squirming back upright and wincing at the sudden rush of blood out of her head, leaving a headache behind, she shook it off and dropped down beside Ike.

"How come you got a bandaid on your face? I thought you couldn't get hurt or somethin' like that," she said curiously, eyeing the bandage.

"Awww. Poor widdle Julian," Rabid snerked and leaned against him, "Liam said he'd let you have some target practice. You just have to see him about it. As for the bodies in the trees...if you see them stumbling down the hall, we'll all know why." Okay, so the thought of the bodies going to ring doorbells and gnaw on innocents was fairly amusing.

"I'm sorry," Ike screwed up his face, feeling as if he'd somehow let his best friend down, "Oh...this?" He raised a long finger to his cheek.

"It only heals if somethin' else does it. I scratched myself." He shrugged, not knowing how much Lenore knew about the whole William fiasco.
