Today is the day. as soon as i get ready i will post the big incident. and if mk is ok with it maybe even a new story line of a new strand of virus outbreak could happen, the M Virus. The intellectual type zombies, like in the Return of the Living Dead movies. We can talk and we can think, but we also want the taste of meat. XD

Not a good time for an outbreak, though I don't mind the idea of intellectual zombies. Though, by the nature of the process alone, they should probably not be able to maintain full brain function. Maybe 75-80% tops?
I will be using MK today, and possibly another or 2 depending on activity levels as I get going. Just have to check with my level 7 techs. Though, until Shimo gets back to this and sticks, his idea will be on the back burner.

Always a good time for discovery. And you may go along with your own arc as planned whenever you wish to do so. The only part of it that needs approval is an outbreak, as it would involve other members, and that normally takes a bit more attention.
As for schemes, nothing in the immediate sense, though MK is opening up new locations.

okay, i was wondering if you want to hammer out the course of the outbreak with me, like help me organize it and stuff so when you actually think its time it will be nicely executed and such. never really rped and planned an outbreak of smart zombies.

That's going to depend on one of 2 paths. Will it be one that needs to successfully infect other members, or will it be implied zombies, such as those that broke free from the Arena and were then fought en masse?

I would like to think that it would happen like in Return of the Living Dead. maybe a grunny got some too while the beacon exploded, and we burned it alive to avoid a break out. but somehow it's chemical remains reached the clouds and thus it rained its M Virus remains on the nearest graveyard. and the Mombies come and attack us. they will be slow like glompies, but smarter then the average bear XD they will retain most of their smarts (exept my guy who will hopefully retain all of his smarts and will not spread it) and they will be strong, and in many numbers. So i guess we wouldn't be affected except me but since i didn't get infected by the rain form i didn't go brain hungry. Makes sense?

Not really, actually. I don't see how it's still a zombie if it retains complete brain function. Hunger for brains has always been a staple in the residual survival instincts, namely food. If the entire brain is still in working order, then it serves to suggest that as are the remaining bodily functions, and thus the living tissue too far outweighs the dead.
Maybe You've got another angle you're looking at this from?
As well, I try to contain what I can to the facility itself, and any linked threads that we've made. Things that affect the remaining world of Gaia are generally omitted or implied, as I like to mainly keep that for official standing plot.
We do, however, have a morgue.

the morgue would work. and the angle from Return of the Living Dead is the virus makes them in constant pain and they always hurt and brain consumption makes the pain go away for awhile. its a satire on drug use. but it works.

Indeed. Though the outbreak will need to be crafted a fair bit, else Vault could snuff it. Only reason the undead got to the main level last time was because she was disabled.

the reasson why my transformation was different when i was affected was that there was an equal ablance of G and 3A but since the Grunny is G virus contaminated the mist that affects the morgue had more g virus, which made them need brains to stop their pain. but me i just need more of the M Virus, so i will feast on viles of it XD.
the Vault could be needed somewhere else at the time like the new excavation site too... idk. It's all up to you, boss.

Samson and the Recon Team have already secured the new dig site for the time being. I try not to take Vault offworld unless it is highly required.
3A reanimated the dead and made them thirst... for hugs. The G-Virus itself fuses tissue, and the reanimation was an initial side effect of living tissue fusing with dead. A balance of the G-Virus and Serum 3A would most likely result in a being that hungers first for hugs, and then brains once they have said hug. Though introduction of a third failed serum, which you dub the M virus, could likely fail to achieve the fusion made possible through G, resulting in some intellectually affectionate bodies.

Vault needs more radishes ninja I will muzzle you with wires, I will make your limbs collapse, I will stay away with you, reading you children's tales, Prepare yourself because you'll struggle against the pain, I'd rather stop by now but you're driving me insane

Well i was just thinking we can go looney toons with it and make it sound logical to the average joe. make it so my affection could be different then the ones in the morgue so i wont have to be killed off and just be a bit stronger and durable, but have a hunger for hugs that i can fight off with the die roll option in posts and also become a bit slower due to the muscle damage of the small explosion which is going to occur in my lab in a few. but since the morgue bodies will be exposed to more of a 50% G, 25% 3A, and 50% Misc. crud that makes up the rest of the M Virus. Making them able to speak, and problem solve better then the typical zombies, but still walk slowly. they typically grapple first and over bear then feast. But since i was exposed to just a balanced version i just get all huggy. after all the M Virus was meant to be the Riddlin for Grunnies. (Riddlin being the first fail attempt on controlling the ADHD thing of the 90's, which is why i chose that name since this is the first fail attempt to subduing Grunnies completely.)
