"well been doing it since we came to this blasted place." -He pulled up his hood to cover his brilliant hair which just only brought out his young boyish looks.- "how far do you need me to be?"

"Sorry," Jay muttered, looking a bit taken back by Roman's words. She took a step back and gave him more than enough room. "Far enough to not be seen from the road, taking care that there may be others out there in about the same area watching for anything suspicious. But if you would rather be elsewhere, then I can manage on my own."

"and miss a chance to throw a punch" -his fang glisten as he smiled- "Besides your still doubting yourself so I don't believe your capable to really manage this on your own just yet." -he mocked the ranger a bit as he did take offense to the be elsewhere comment.-

"Just don't throw the first punch unless someone else is going to, alright?"
There was that smile, even if it did come with an exasperated look from his final comment about her abilities. She didn't make any sort of retort for that though oddly.
"To the roofs or streets with you then," Jay said, thumbing toward the sky above. "And be careful," she added, giving the redhead a look of concern.

"Wait for a punch to be thrown gotcha." -he did a slight bow- "yes madam." -Roman then got a serious look and looked down both ways of the alley as he then causally walked to the darkest corner pushed aside his cloak and jumped up to the roofs staying low as the dark cloak helped hide him with the night.-

The ranger watched until the vampire disappeared overhead and stood there a time to re-adjust her thoughts before she stepped back out onto the street and hurried to her destination.

-He waited for a short moment and then watched her path carefully as well as the tops of the roof for any sign of anything threatening as he merged from one roof edge to the next staying real low and careful where his foot steps were barely heard as he landed them.-

The 'kids' were where Hanuvh had stationed them. All but the youngest two were in hiding. The two were in the street, appearing to be looking a bundle over. It was a ruse, something to distract anyone's attention who would walk past while the rest waited in ambush in the shadows.
One of them glanced up suddenly, an expression of fear flashing across her young features before she ducked her head back down again. They were nervous. All of them.

As soon as the intersection came into sight with the two striplings in the middle, Jay quickly ducked back behind a stone corner and stayed there letting time pass with no movement. After a few good breaths she peered back around the edge.
There were certainly more than two when she visited the house. Unless the bundle the two in the center were crouched over was something meant to take a man down in one shot, the others should be around - but where?
Her mind thought back to Roman for a moment, wondering if he crossed anything yet, but reminding herself for the most part she was on her own unless a fight broke out that she couldn't handle.
Her eyes darted the surrounding corners and nitches. If the full group from youngers she had seen earlier were out, where would they be she wondered trying to locate possible locations. It made her feel better in case a fight did break out - which she hoped it wouldn't come to.
It shouldn't if she just walked out there. Hanuvh did tell her to meet them here after all.
Maybe.

-His bright eyes scanned the area over and over expecting something out of place. He wasn't really good at noticing fine detail like Micheal. When he didn't see anything he sniffed the air for different scents. "This would be easier if I was a mind reader." -His eyes then focused on Jay as he stood very still in the shadows, trying to see what her next move would be.-

Did I share my blessing with a coward? Do you not bear my wings in secret? Have you not even begun to dream of what you can do? I demand my sacrifice tonight, Jay... and no plan of mortals or fools will deny me.

Dream? What can I say? I have a horrible imagination.Wings. What good were just wings after all - especially when she liked the ground? Jay took one look toward the night sky, uncertain herself what she might be looking for, before taking a strong step past the corner and straight toward the two children at the center of the crossroads. "Where is Lord Hanuvh?" the cloaked woman spoke without emotion. She just wanted these kids out of the way. "He needs to be told his guard is not coming tonight... or if you want to tell him and risk his wrath, be my guest."

One of the kids, a girl, looked up at the ranger, shock on her face.
"N-not coming?" she finally stammered, "Oh, well... oh. We'd best get back then, fast. The night is still here, we've still got time, he's always got backup plans he does. Plans and plans. Right."
That reassurance seemed to steady her and she whistled. The kids hiding in the background just melted away, leaving her and another boy with Jay.
"You'd better come too Miss," she said, "He won't be mad, oh no. Things change. We just gotta hurry back and find out what he plans to do now since this isn't going to work. C'mon!"
And the two broke into a soft jog, the girl glancing back to see if the ranger was following.

Hanuvh with a backup plan. Unsurprising. Should she wager on her death yet being the one this night? It was starting to look like it she thought as she quickly followed the children.
"Then we best hurry and not keep him waiting," the woman replied trying to judge just how much time she had left.

-Micheal's expression change as he sensed something that seemed familiar, that disrupted his connection with the ranger, his mind abilities could only do so much at this point, he waited as he tried to learn as muc about this source (the black turkey) as he can as he was just sitting back in his room.-
