*scratches head* So is it decided already? We'd let Kit filter them first and give them a taste of roleplaying and then four of the Captains would make the different classes.
There's only one problem with this. What would the specialty of the four classes be? Agility, Kido, Zanjutsu? And...I'll add something later if I think of it.

Not too be pushy or anything, but most of the squads don't specialize in a certain category, (like the 2nd, 7th, 11th). Is the academy like:
a) You go to the academy, pass if your not n00b, then choose whatever squad
or
b) You go to the academy and choose a path BASED on what you plan on going into
Just want to clarify things.

I like the class idea better. If able could I teach a class? ''Combat?''

Time to put my two cents in! scream
I think we should mesh a few ideas together.
Kit will be the one to decide "n00b" or "awesome". After that, they are to choose what class they want to get trained in ie: if they know they're bad in fighting, we can throw them into a class Animi is teaching to get better. OR, if they're bad at using different words in a post (like using he or she for the beginning of a sentence etc) they can go to someone else to learn different words. Stuff like that. 3nodding
And now le Leever is ideaed out. D:

@Angel: if that's the plan, i dib speed since Tao is a speed whore. which reminds me, i just set up a 'speed training' area in squad 13! WOO WOO? come join poor lonely Tao in completing his goal of learning a faster Shunpo! [or he will be all lonely, and all that jawn]
@liver: I could see that working. We could easily cover those with four teachers.
Kit = awesome or nay? ??? = Role Playing Basics ??? = Grammar Basics ??? = NOT GODMODING [aka, Getting Hit] ??? = LEARN TO USE AN ENCYCLOPEDIA, OR I WILL HIT YOU WITH IT. SO. HARD. [Aka, Spell Check is your friend!]
I'd think of more but i need to nom after that insane audition.

So you want it to be more focused on increasing the proficiency of the Role-players, and then leave the choice of squad up to them? Hmmm....
Sounds good. 3nodding ALthough where and whenever this academy is made, could we make it so that, as another way, Captains could choose members of the Academy to join their squad, still giving them the option to decline? Or they could just tell put in a join req. in the appropriate squad and then we go to the academy and 'recruit' them. I dunno.
Now I'M out of ideas.

Liv, I see what you are getting at. Maybe each of the four teachers has two things they can do. Firstly, they could work on a specific roleplaying area - like what Scribbled said and then they can also work on their abilities. If Tao wants to be in charge of speed, Animi wants to be in charge of combat...what type of combat though? I'd most likely stick with training zanpaktou abilities, since my squad's pretty much all that if I'm a teacher.
Eke, maybe we could do that. What do the others say?

Well i think the whole idea of this is to make them more literate, but it would also be good to teach them the basics of roleplaying if we think they should take, or they want to take. This would also be an opportunity for the captains to 'watch' them [not by sitting and watching, well not their characters, but the people behind it. If they wish to invite said character to their squad, they can have their character enter saying that they were viewing them from behind a chalk board or something, and then tell them about the ups AND downs of their squad, and formally invite them, leaving before they can get an answer so said character can have time to think about it, and give other captains a chance to invite them.] It can be like the actual Shinigami school, they take classes and such, and then after it is all said and done accept an invitation they were given or request to join another.

Ekeanyanwu That's more or less what I was going for. mrgreen I know, I was trying to explain it in as much detail as i could, to help people think about it. :]
I don't have much more to say, so unless i have much more to say this will most likely be my last post. Try and make the replies so i have something to reply to, or Zi will eat me. :]

I likes that idea. It's like a recruiting, helpings guide all into one. My thought is, it should be a REAL ''Soul Society Academy''. It just happens to have more areas in which we can help the students better. How would we get members into the academy though, we can't force them, because some members want to be shinigami's, or espada right from the gecko?

How would we get members into the academy though, we can't force the, because some members want to be shinigami's, or espada right from the gecko? That was what I was hinting towards, however there wouldn't be much use in teaching them how to use Kido and such, we could mix that in with something else. Kidou and Zanpakuto skills should be put together, since both will depend on the user, no use in teaching them a kidou that they probably will exchange for something higher/they don't get anything out of it. Unless we put in something like "if you take this class you get an extra low level kidou you can use!" or some crap. It'll be hard enough to get them to go through 1 class, let alone 4. The main four things we don't want them to abuse/over use would be speed [shunpo, or dodging everything], their zanpakuto [realeasing shikai/bankai], knowing when to get hit and such, and actually kidou would fit here. Teaching them how many they can hold, and how to change them in for stronger/weaker ones.

Hmm. Animi, that is a problem. How we get members into the academy? Would we force them or not?
Maybe we should make it a rule to have to go into the Academy or else we would not be able to separate the noobs from the good people.
How long would the Academy processing take?
So let me get this straight. We have speed (Tao, maybe?), their zanpaktou abilities, combat (Animi) and kido? Should Kido be separate?
