Suddenly something in the air seemed to change, Kimiko felt an unfamiliar fear flooding her senses. Maboroshi's had seemed to shoot wide for for a moment then... suddenly leaves swirled up all around them, and it was too late.
"What the-!? What did you do Maboroshi!" She attempted to prod him with her Katana to remind it was there and positioned to stab him...only to have it...pass through him? "H-huh!?" Without warning her rival, his smirk becoming increasingly terrifying, slowly faded away into wafts of mist, which quickly dissipated, leaving her alone on the battle field. She staggered back in alarm, the inexplicable fear starting to rise to her throat, her heart beat. "M-Marboroshi... this...this is one of your illusions!"
"Is it?" His voice echoed from all around her, coming as though from the wind. His slightly frightening laugh chuckled against her nerves. "You say that...but then...why do you seem on edge?"
Kimiko's breathing was uneasy. He was right...even though...even though she KNEW this had to be one of his Genjutsu tricks... she...she couldn't fight it... it was all...all real, even this fear he was inflicting on her. She put on a facade of anger, trying to mask his success. "Argh! Stop playing games! I'll just start blasting my fire balls at random until I hit you so you may as well come of hiding!"
"Hiding?" he answered back from everywhere.
"But I'm right here." Kimiko jumped in alarm as his voice came right behind her. She wheeled about readying her blade, but the instant she turned around, utter horror filled her. Xenon was there alright, with a large menacing kitchen knife, which he proceeded to plunge right into her eye, killing her instantly...
-37 mhp 77mhp remaining for Kimiko
Kimiko screamed flailing her arms in fear, only to realize she was quite unharmed. A cold sweat had broken on her brow and her legs were trembling, but...but she wasn't even hurt... wait...of course she wasn't!
Xenon was standing at a distance now, having jumped back as soon as his Genjutsu had taken hold. She herself had just been standing there since the illusion had taken her, and had been staring off into space blankly until it ended. His triumphant smile was wide as he asked her, eyebrow raised. "Is something the matter Momoe-san? You seem a little off your game."
Kimiko was steadying her breath. "Maboroshi, how could you... that...that jutsu is..."
Xenon chuckled yet again "Yes, it's rather effective isn't it. It's actually one of the more popular among Genjutsu artists. Flexible, efficient, though I'll admit I've another favorite. Still you needn't worry about that...I'm planning on saving it for Raine."
Kimiko suddenly thrust her sword into the ground, her hands darting through hand signs while she planted her feet, and chakra roared about her. "Yeah after you get back from Dr. Gray! I warned you not to take me lightly!!"

Xenon's Reflex save: 14+10=24 ( lol Never had a chance) (62 Damage)
80 hp remaining for Xenon.
DC: 45 for half Damage 55 for full miss
"FIRE RELEASE! GRAND FIREBALL JUTSU!!" Fire spewing from from Kimiko's curled fingers, her chakra filled breath passing through them from her lips as it became a growing mass of scorching power. Her chakra skimming the surface of her skin the force of the attack rippled the air around it's origin as she let it loose, the enourmous fire ball obscurring the fighters view of one another as the dust of the sparring pit whipped up into a frenzy.
Xenon's expression changed at once. 'Such raw power! She's nearly twice as strong as before... what sort of training has she been-' it was impossible, even with his Shunshin, he just didn't have the time, the blast was moving too quickly, it's immense wrath colliding with him head on. He tossed his coat behind him as he braced himself for the impact, his teeth grit as his vision was obscured by flame.
A normal human would have been killed by such an attack, it was clear that Kimiko didn't realize her true strength, regardless... The flames danced about him as he clutched his side, which he'd used to absorb most of the impact. The dust and fire kicked up around him obscured the feild as he twitched slightly, allowing the searing pain to subside.
Though he hated to admit it, she'd been absolutely right. He'd underestimated her. Not her skill perhaps, he'd taken that into accurate account, though this admittedly was because he already held her in high opinion. But no, her raw power just now had caught him off guard. He released his side as he pushed back the pain. He'd gotten a fair assessment of her potential, but even disregarding that, he couldn't afford to drag this out any longer. He might be able to withstand another attack like that, he'd probably be at her mercy... and that wasn't acceptable. It was time to end this little game.

Kimiko's Will Save: 4+10=14 (Fail) DC: 35
-37mhp 40 mhp remaining -4 to all, -3 attacks, (Plus Fear -4 to all)
Kimiko stood, for a moment confident, her face turning upward into a smile. "Wow! That was so much stronger than my normal one...I guess I all my trainings paying off after all." she straightened, picking her sword back up as she flexed her fingers. "And I feel fine, I'm not tired at all..." she let out a pleased nod before turning her attention back to the direction of her opponent. "Okay Maboroshi! If you can still talk big after that! Then let's see what you've got!" Silence...
She blinked, slightly uncertain. The dust was settling, small patches of fire lingering as they slowly vanished at the point of impact. But...where was... "Ma...Maboroshi?" she took a few steps forward, not noticing for some reason, the change in atmosphere as soon as her eyes met with the clearing dust. Missing, oddly enough, the dream like leaves that swirled up around her, beckoning her into the illusion. In truth Kimiko was now standing still, staring blankly ahead once more as the Magen took the reins of her mind...
Xenon stood amidst the dying flames, his hands fixed into a sign, his face resigned as he controlled the finishing blow...
Kimiko took a few more steps forward. "Maboroshi!? Where-" Yet suddenly a malevolant laughter echoed from the flames, their flickering light starting to increase once more, starting to rekindle. "Huh?!" She froze, taking a step back.
"Impressive Kimiko, not bad at all... but I'm afraid it's futile..." Suddenly the flames roared up yet again, a demonic visage with uncounted fangs and eyes blistering from the blaze. "You're still too weak!!" it's laughter wickedly filled the air as it's jaws came forward, clamping down upon her before she could make any move to fight the fear that was filling her system. Her skin shriveled, her eyes boiled, her very body kindled into ash...
Kimiko screamed out loud yet again, falling to her knee's, her sword falling from her hand as he choked back vomit. She resisted the urge to tear up and quickly regained control of herself, but the fear lingered...
"I...I'm alive...I..." she clenched her fists into the sand of the pit as she realized what had happened. Another of Maboroshi's Illusions...when had he gotten her? She grit her teeth in frustration.
"It's done Momoe-san."
She looked up suddenly, her hand reaching for her sword only to find her hands trembling. Maboroshi was standing over her, his coat slung over his shoulder as he beheld her calmly. He'd definitely taken the hit from her Fire Jutsu. The slash across his chest from her sword and burns marked that indeed she'd fought the good fight...but still, his face still looked so...untouched. Even the black smudge of ash on his cheek did little to mar the air he seemed to be holding. Like he KNEW it would end like this... and been right.
She'd lost.
She started to say somthing, somthing that would hold back the shame, somthing that would make light of the fear that still shook her... but-
Xenon smiled his usual smile. "I did try and warn you Momoe-san, I suppose you'll just never measure up to so long as your held back by your silly delusions." he held out a hand to help her to her feet, and her fear melted away.
She dawned instead a confident smirk, the fire rekindling in her eyes. "Yeah, yeah, you keep bragging Maboroshi," she took his hand and stood, releasing it as she sheathed her sword and crossed her arms. "I'll have you know that Heroes Always lose to their rivals the first time." she turned away still brimming with renewed cheer. "It makes it all the more impressive when they clean the floor with them later."
Xenon replaced his glasses and slipped on his coat. "Oh? is that so? I suppose I'll have to look forward to that then, it'll be SO much more fun to break cliche and beat you a second time."
Kimiko turned and pointed at him in the face. "Fine! But next time you better not hold back at all! Friends and Rivals are suppose to go all out in battles like this!"
Xenon looked suddenly non plused, and slightly curious ""Friends" and rivals? Since when was "friends added in their? You really should consult the other person before you make these sorts of descicio-"
"Stop arguing! Geez!" Kimiko said as she walked away, waving her hand dismissively. "One of us is fighting Raine next right? Instead of blabbing you should be resting up."
Xenon sweat slightly, raising an eyebrow quizzically. 'It actively astounds me how she can be completely terrified after I traumatized her with hellish visions one moment, then bossing me about the next... there's somthing not quite normal about that.' he shrugged 'Oh well.'

(What exactly are their hp and cp's?)
Dash smiled, he knew the kid had a genjutsu up his sleeve, and the rivalry just made is spicy. "Good job you two." it was exactly as he expected from both of them. "Now, winner plays Raine so Kimiko take a seat." Dash turned his head back to Raine who was standing silently his eyes off in the distance. "You hear me buddy?"
Raine was lost in thought. He had fought Xen before, but that was just his senbon against his Kekkai Genkai it wasn't even a match. Now though.... Xen had a genjutsu....I can't beat him if he throws out a genjutsu. I just can't do it.... Maybe I can count on the fact that he's used a lot of his chakra. I can play off his injuries from Kimiko and know that if he has a healing jutsu it will cost him even more chakra. he chanced a glance up to Dash. "Just let me think for a second okay." he went through every jutsu he knew. He would have to finish this quickly. With his power he would have to get in the first hit, otherwise it was hopeless. Stepping forward he nodded,"Okay." he slowly stepped into the ring. Kimiko would have more than enough time to get out as his hands quickly undid the small band at his waist. Metal clinking at his waist, he pulled the blades over his outstretched fingers. They danced in the metal before curling back into a fist. "Sorry, Dash-sensei. I don't have anything new to show you today. I will have to win as a one-trick-pony." He breathed in deeply and his muscles hardened beneath his skin. The rippling flowing over his arms and legs up into his stern face that gazed coldly at Xen. He couldn't give him time for anything if he was going to have a chance.
He flung forward his sandals sicking up sand and small bits of glass that had been formed by Kimiko's jutsu. the boy was small and swift his body toned and trained to absolute perfection. Tsuyosa's glorious by product. He shot to Xen's side his feet moving into position, his body leveling out, his fist raising for the deadly Tekkenseisai Punch. Raine shot out his fist so quickly they could barely be seen by the human eye, he threw two jabs with the metal teeth to Xen's ribs. If he didn't finish him now, he wouldn't have the chance later.
3+25=28 12+20=32 You know let's forget about that last one. I really don't want to kill him.

(Oi! No no no. You're going to fight him before he's got a chance to heal!? I call shenanigans. What no witty banter or anything!?! stare Fine. You want to play hard ball? We'll play hard ball. Raine's Melee attack is actually 19/14/9, I calculated it, you don't add bonus's to the attack accuracy.
so Xenon's Dodge Bonus: 20 (27 when using Shunshin)
3+19=22 (Shunshin -4cp) (Miss) 12+14=28 (Hit) 67/2= 34 damage 10+8= 18 (miss)
Xenon: 80 HP Remaining for Xenon 95 CP remaining
If you still wish to attack right away, 46 hp, 91 cp. I should also note that if you REALLY want to end this so quickly I will use a Genjutsu on Xen's next turn and not let Raine out until his arms are paralyzed and he can't preform Jutsu above C-rank... If that's okay with you...then give the green light. If you want to make this a cooler fight... then say so.)
(By the way, do they have a quick way to recover in the RP besides going to the Hospital? It'd probably be helpful if we made something like that for the Training ground...)

(Wow bessie hold on. Every 10 points in taijutsu adds 2 points in damage and 1 point in attack bonus :O I am Taijutsu master of the guild and all, I don't think I'd mess up my attack bonus XD..... However, I totally forgot you had a healing jutsu. You can go ahead and edit to before my last post smile
And nope, the whole point of this training is to fight two ninja back to back, it's Dash's lesson on conservation. Well of course besides using a healing jutsu.)

(Yes, it does, but only to your Taijutsu roll, your not using Taijutsu. You're using the Aian Dakkaru, a ninja weapon, which happen to stack atop your Taijutsu damage. It says specifically your Taijutsu roll. And even so you've also added it to your ranged attack bonus, which is solely an effect of your knives, and only when you apply chakra to them...
stare: It just seems like taking advantage of a loop hole to me... I mean why give an advantage like that to Taijutsu and not other weapons? Because other weapons due more damage by design...but your Aian Nakkaru just makes it the most powerful melee weapon in the Rp... and that doesn't make any aesthetic sense. I think if your using a Ninja weapon, you should be using the Ninja weapon skill bonus, not Taijutsu...I mean...am I wrong? neutral )
(I suppose I see the whole point about Conservation, but this isn't about conservation... it's about who attacks first. Xen could defeat Raine just as effortlessly given the chance to attack first... and...well, let's face it Xen's the one who would want this win more...he wouldn't let Raine have the chance either... So I propose we roll to see who attacks first.
Fair? Highest number wins.)

(( OR you two could agree not to take it full out on the first turn, and do what a certain wise EXP grader once told me *Cough* Ghost *Cough* and drag it the hell out. Besides, why do you care about killing each other in a single turn? It would be a fun RP to drag it out/add dialogue. And on the subject of the fist blade things (I am lazy xD), I really don't know. It could be viewed both ways.. I think something more practical like brass knuckles would add taijutsu because they are on your fists. Now, these fist blades are on your fists.. But you'd think that it would be less of a punch motion than a swipe motion. Dunno. Just my two cents))

(The point was for Xen to loose because he didn't have enough hp and cp to sustain himself against Raine. smile But sure if it means that much to you....
Now, I'm going to say this out right. I have near to no clue what exactly you are talking about, but I'm quite sure you're trying to stick it to me on the premise of my stats being wrong. I can thoroughly assure you they are not, I've taken quite a few extra minutes double-checking them for you, and I'm not very happy with your attitude about this. I am still your Kage and I expect a bit decency when people have problems. I honestly see your discretion in this situation, because I made it as unfair as I possibly could in order to make someone utterly fail. If you would prefer I could have Raine fight Kimiko before fighting Xen.
Hiro- Raine can't last in a Genjutsu for a second but he can take hundreds of Xen's senbon without a second glance. So really with Xen's move it's over. I didn't want to do that because Raine already knows that about himself, alas Xen's ego must be fed until a further date. The plot thickens! biggrin
Haha, hate to throw stones and all, but how about no more occ in the rp, let's move it to the chatter if there's anything else to say.)

(Okay then, assuming it's Xen's turn.)
Xenon readjusted his glasses, considering taking them off for this battle... but no. No Raine was not quite that high in his good graces just yet. He pep talk during the invasion had been a momentary exception. His glasses were his wall against the world. He didn't lower it for just any occasion.
He recalled all to well Mokutan making fun of him for the habit, insisting that he didn't seem the "security blanket type" but that wasn't exactly what the glasses meant to him. In the right light, at the right angle, the lens flare of his glasses obscured his eyes, and he used this to his advantage on occasion, in addition to the fact that by now it was more a matter of preference. Much like the Coat he wore, the glasses were a symbol, one he'd grown attached too over time.
He looked at Raine very seriously as the boy approached. Not devoid of emotion as he had with Kimiko, but certainly just as serious as he did when in real combat. "I want you to know that I'm not holding back as I did with Kimiko... you're far to strong for me to take such license with...I trust you feel the same?" his hands were at his side but they were stiff, at the ready. "Just know...you shouldn't take what's about to happen personally... it's just how I fight..." His golden eyes seemed to contract in preparation. And the match began. At once, without the slightest hesitation, his hands suddenly flitted through a brief series of signs before he knit them together and formed a seal. "Tell me Raine...what do you fear most?" His eyes widened as his Chakra flooded his coils, and from his mind spawned the Illusion... It wrapped it's cold fingers about Raine's perception, it's icy grip attempting to wrestle control of his senses...
