"Yes, I guess it does. Very insightful words," Kaien said, his voice mimicking hers perfectly again. "And it makes sense for your familiar to wish to serve you, but it also wouldn't hurt him to speak in turn. I wasn't adressing him, I was talking to you. He's much less attractive than you are," He said in monotone, yet adding that Kaien flair to his speech. His clever fucshia eyes figured out her profession. "I noticed the profound meaning behind your words. You're a writer," He concluded. 'Please be right, please be right...' he thought. Then again, he had never been wrong about something like that before. But, from what he learned from her, she was probably bound to prove him wrong in some sense.

Victoria looked at Kaien with the common stare she had for most people. "If I was a writer.. How else would you prove to me that I am one?" She was of course, testing him, seeing if he was confident in his answer. "Because, you may have the most obnoxious of people be writers, or the craziest, or the foolish.. No one can tell exactly who a writer is. For all you know, I'm a woman of words." Kamichi growled again, he wanted to say a lot of things to this fellow, but the only thing he could do is glare and blow smoke at him. "Normal people don't speak in turn either, your Lordship." Victoria may be quiet and seemingly hateful, but she does have some form of respect for people. "If we have a group of three or more fellows among us, one may speak out of turn, which is quite normal. And even if the person wasn't talking to another, that other person could still step in. That's how conversations are formed. One person may be talking to themselves, then another person steps in and tells them their oppinion." Victoria may not like talking, but when she does, she can say a lot.

Kaien saw this coming; from what he could read about her using the few emotions and information she gave him, he could tell that she was one to explain her reasoning in detail and use description and get her point across using several sentences. "I can't prove you're a writer; being a writer is, in a sense, an opinion dependant on the one doing the reading," Kaien responded, really wishing that she would lighten up; the last time his face was this straight for a long time is when his second persona enveloped his body, and when he got control again, his face hurt to smile for a week. However, he had the right about of stubborness to keep it up. "However, my assumption for you being a writer comes from your speech. You use a lot of complicated thoughts and several styles of making your point," He answered her. "Either that, or you're a philosopher. And if you were, you'd be throwing in a lot more crap than we need to know," Kaien shrugged, showing the slighest bit of boredom. He knew that she was trying to chase him away, but he wasn't about to lost this battle. Not without a fight, anyway. "And if it's a group of three, it's not considered speaking out of turn unless one adresses another specifically and the third answers, Milady. Unless, of course, the person doing the answering doesn't know the answer, and the third person does," He noticed the "Lordship" she had tossed in her speech and decided to counter it, seeing if she was the type to accept it, or rather the type to slap him across the face for it. His mind knew that Kamichi was dying to get inside his head, but the barrier was still going strong. However, he had built a door in the time he had been talking, and a stronger piece of his personality had wandered, allowing him to deal with Kamichi. He built this special ability so he could hear what Kamichi was saying and only memorize what he wanted to, for once. He had somewhat of a curse as to memorize everything that was said to him, so he was trained to use this method to only hear what he wanted to hear. 'So, how's it feel to deal with someone who actually knows how to ignore you?' Kaien's mischevious voice rang through his head and made its way to Kamichi. He smiled in his head, glad he could at least be himself around the hot-tempered dragonling.

Victoria replied in her dull voice, which sounded almost sarcastic, "Wow, you are a very smart lad. I suppose I cannot fool you no longer. You are correct about me. I am a writer." She sighed softly, wanting to roll her eyes but didn't. "But aren't we a group of friends talking? Sure, Kamichi dreams about ripping you apart, but he won't. His mouth still runs faster then his attacks. He knows I wish not to talk to people, so he answers most of my replies for me." Kamichi's eyes flared a bright red, as more steam bursts out of his mouth, even though he himself was stubborn to talk, he kept his thoughts to himself this time. He struggled in Victoria's arms, but she still kept a strong grip on him.

"If we're all friends talking here, then why not ease up? C'mon, I won't bite," Kaien smiled, suddenly reverting back into his natural, somewhat lazy appearence. He put his thumbs in his pockets and leaned his torso back, tilting his head up and looking down at Victoria, his eyes half-closed. "And thanks for the heads-up. I'm glad to know that I'm safe from Kamichi," At that note, he waved to Kamichi in a friendly tone, revealing a faint glimmer of bronze on his wrist, a slight gleam under his sleeve. He looked around, his curious fucshia eyes exploring the carnival. His eyes found the ring toss. He looked back at Victoria, eyes gleaming. He nodded towards the game stand. "Well? Wanna look around? It IS a carnival, after all. I'll buy," Kaien said, realizing that she wasn't big on words. However, good intentions pursued him to get to know this person, to try his hardest to be her friend. He almost held out his hand, but kept it in his pocket, knowing that it would be in vain.

Victoria gazed at Kaien's eyes, before she answered still in the dead voice, "I am at ease, Sir. I've always been at ease." Kamichi started to calm down, seeing that Victoria didn't have that aggressive cloud above her head. She followed his eyes to the ring toss, and shrugged her shoulders casually. She looked back at him, watching his aura dance around his body, seeing he was either bored, happy, or had curious and friendly intentions. "Looks amusing." She spoke softly, she turned her body to go towards it, but waited for him to come along. She hated being the leader, since she's always concerned if the people following her will get lost or blow up somehow. She tilted her head towards Kaien, waiting for his movements.

Kaien nodded and skipped after her, going on ahead. He hated being a follower; to him, being a follower meant listening to what someone else had to say, not being able to make your own decisions, and being at the will of someone who may not know what they're doing. He put his hands in his pockets and withdrew money in one hand and a long strand of beef jerky in the other. "Does Kamichi like beef jerky?" Kaien looked behind him and asked Victoria. "Do you, for that matter?" He felt happy that he could be himself around her; he no longer wanted to flirt with her, but felt glad that his thorough analysis of her proved her to not harm someone with innocence. He wasn't sure if he fit into that category, but he had means of protecting himself, even if she did try to attack him. Excited, he twirled on the spot, a habit he knew he did until someone pointed it out to him.

"Kamichi at this moment only likes lettuce, and other vegetables and fruit.. His stomach hasn't grown use to meat yet.. Maybe when he's a little bit older." Victoria nearly whispered, now following after him. She saw that his emotions were now vivid around his body, showing that he was a happy-go-lucky person. This made her happy inside, but she didn't show it. She stared at the jerky, and shrugged her shoulders, "No thank you.. I don't think I am in the mood for jerky at this time. I am not really that hungry for that matter." She watched him twirl around like someone who found their one true love or something close to that matter. She would've laughed quietly to herself, but something inside of her was tugging at her voice box, yelling for her not to do that. Kamichi stared at the jerky as well, having a curious gaze in his eyes. Sure, Victoria was right about him, but he wanted to try meat for once.. Even though he knew the consequences.

Kaien flashed Victoria an excited smile in mid-spin, knowing that she was trying to suppress her feelings. He was now on a full-fledged mission to make her show an emotion other than perpetual boredom. He stuffed the jerky into his mouth and chewed it rambunctiously. He finished twirling and skipped ahead, his hands out at his sides. He approached the stand and slapped some money down. "Get me started, meh MAN!!" He said in a high-pitched, slightly insane voice. He put another piece of jerky in his mouth and waited patiently. Looking somewhat disturbed, the runner of the stand gave him three balls and stepped back. Kaien put some money on the counter next to him, ready for Victoria in case she wanted to. He whipped around on one foot, holding a ball high above his head. "Hey, are you watching me, Victoria?" He called, already having her name engraved into his memory.

Victoria finally got to the counter, and looked at him. "Yes." She was watching the ball carefully. You really like that dried meat, huh? Kamichi's happy thoughts filtered the air.Victoria noticed there was three balls infront of her, as she picked up one before looking back over to Kaien. She saw the anxious emotions dance around his body, along with the bright color of happiness. He had many layers of emotions around him, which Victoria could point out each one, but she wondered why. Normal people to her usually had one or two emotions hanging around them, but lately she's been seeing these talented beings have more then two.. Sometimes up to eight different emotions. She wondered how they could keep them all. Now that she was lost in her thoughts, her eyes seem to stay in one place, which would be at Kaien.

Kaien glanced at Kamichi and nodded, winking. 'Sure do, Kamichi-chibi!' He thought, now trying to rectify any wrongs he had commited. He deconstructed the barrier around his head, allowing the positive thoughts to flow in his head. 'I don't even know why,' At that, he looked down at the jerky considerably. 'I dunno, it's all dry and chewy and salty, and I dunno,' He shrugged and stuffed another piece in his mouth before aiming the ball. With a graceful, yet swift and fluid motion, he threw the ball with a mere fraction of his strength. As if it happened in slow-motion, the ball hit with precise accuracy and knocked all three of the bottles over. Eyes wide with pride, he stuck his tongue out and punched the air exuberantly, leaping into the air. The person a couple of slots down from him gave him a look that implyed that she thought he was insane, and scooted away. Kaien jumped agian, spinning in midair. He landed and gave Victoria a pure smile, a smile that let those around him know that he was truly happy with himself. He winked at her, one of his many ways of letting others know that it was okay. He then noticed that she was staring at him. His smile fading slightly but still staying plastered on his face, he looked at her, eyes wide with ambition and friendliness. He reached behind him and picked up another ball and started to toss it up in the air, hoping to seem nonchalant. He caught it every time, going so far as to snag it out of the air. He turned on one foot again and threw the ball while in motion. It hit the bottom of the stack, completely obliterating the bottom row. The rest followed suit and he shrieked with success again. He did another full rotation, punching the air with both fists this time. "Twice!! Just one more, and...!" He said. He was excited; if he could get this last stack, he could win something and give it to Victoria to love... Or at least to Kamichi to kill.

Victoria had noticed he threw the ball from the corner of her eye, and watched him dance about. When he made eye contact with her, she turned her head slowly to look at the trial ahead of her. Carefully aiming the ball at the lower level of the bottles, her eyes danced acrossed the scene, calculating her speed and angle. She threw the ball. It missed. She threw her second ball, now knowing where to throw it next. It hit, causing the bottles to go this way and that. She let out a soft sigh, wanting to smile at her own victory. She looked at the last ball, and sighed softly again, picking it up and looking at the challenge ahead of her. Maybe it was a lucky thought, she would think, maybe this time it won't happen the same way and something will go wrong. She looked over at Kaien slightly, seeing if he had thrown his ball yet. Kamichi had landed on the table and watched the two throw the balls. His ears twitched this way and that as he tried to figure out the game. He saw that Victoria had thrown the ball, hitting the three bottles. She looked very pleased, and he did the same with Kaien, seeing him spin around joyfully when he knocked down his bottles. "Bottles?" Kamichi's thoughts filtered the air, "The point of this is to knock down bottles..? Why not just jump over and kick them..?"

'Pretty much!' Kaien responded in a lively thought, turning around with his eyes closed. 'You can't just jump over. It's cheating!' He said, opening his fucshia eyes. They widened considerably at the large stack of bottles before him. He tilted his head slightly, his eyes scanning the stack. He stuck his tongue out and, sending a wink at Victoria and Kamichi, strode over to the side of the stand nonchalantly. He carefully edged past the people using that side and climbed up onto the counter. Seeing the concerned look on the runners face, he waved and gave him a friendly smile. "Don't worry, I'm certainly not planning on staying back here," He said before stuffing the ball into his pocket. Using both of his long arms, he reached up and snatched the top of the stand. He lifted himself up and crawled along the top pole quickly and efficiently, looking like he knew what he was doing. He did know what he was doing, in fact. When he approached his stack, he put his legs on the roof of the place and hung upside-down. He aimed his ball, making it look somewhat off. He closed one of his eyes and ajusted his ball. When he got it just right, he gave Victoria a somewhat cocky look, his messy brown hair waving around.

Victoria watched him cheat, and shook her head, trying to push the sly smirk she would've had on her face away from almost being there. Kamichi stared at Kaien, obviously curious as to what he was about to do. Victoria squeezed the ball in her hands, and looked at the bottles ahead of her. She threw the ball again. It slammed into the middle section and they all fell to the floor. She was given a small monkey as her prize. She stared at it, and sighed softly, before looking over at Kaien, seeing how he was doing. Kamichi looked at Victoria, and wanted the monkey. He reached his paws out, with the cute face that usually got him free stuff. Victoria handed the stuffed animal, seeing that Kamichi was hugging it, and biting it slightly.

Kaien, whom was now attracting a small crowd, noticed the look of worry on the stand-runner's face. He smiled encouragingly at him and turned to face his audience. He turned his torso as much as he could and waved at the party with the hand that clutched the ball. He turned around and re-aimed his ball. With a fluid and graceful movement even though he was upside down, he threw the ball. At first, it looked like it would miss altogether, but it scraped the edge of a bottle. Slowly but surely, the bottle became dislodged from it's familiar position. The rest of the bottles followed suit, resulting in a pile on the stand. He stood up and performed a double backflip off the top of the stand, landing smoothly. He held out his hands and took a swift, yet charming bow, recieving an applause from the crowd. Soaking in the attention he needed and longed for, he turned around and looked at his prize options; either a large dog or a large bear. "Well, I can only get one, so who wants it?" Kaien asked Victoria and Kamichi. "Seeing as Kamichi already has one, I can get it for you," He said. "Or, if you'd rather, I can get another one for Kamichi to destroy."
