The door to the outside appeared to be simply an elevator.

"Sentiment appreciated," Harry grunted. "Happens to everyone." He didn't seem the talkative sort.

"Any of you wonderin' what this meeting's all about? I don't know," Harry announced suddenly. "Somethin's fishy about it. I mean, The Thief thinks he's a masterful diplomat... he can be, too... but there's no resolvin' this." And he had a point.

This was something most unusual.

Xu watched as the door was opened and a giant of a man stepped through. He was well built and looked like he could carry the weight of 5 men, perhaps even more. A very aggressive field hung around him, which instantly unsettled Xu.

"He looks normal," Xu thought silently. But something seemed a bit off. A feeling of unease filled his guts. When the man spoke, Xu snapped back to attention and immediately discarded the thought.

"Yes," Xu replied in a kind tone. "My full name is Xutian Su, but you can call me Xu."
Xu extended his hand, opened palm and smiled. "And yours?"

Adela felt more than a little confused at Schraeder's attitude. What in the world crawled up his butt and died? She shook her head. Maybe he just needed some alone time.

She was, however, glad to see that Jon admitted to acting like an a**. "No worries, dude!" She patted him on the back. "Don't act like an a** again, and we'll all be good friends." That said, she turned to walk (stumble) after M to meet the new ally. She was really curious about the person. I really hope it's a talkative girl. T'was a little odd that the only other female Eve never said anything. At all. Ever. Eh. Whatever. A little put out to see that the guy was indeed a guy, she listened to him introduce himself to the Host-Agent. Xu, huh? Seems like a nice guy.

Host-Agent A watched the exchange from a distance. When Schraeder left, he waited a bit before following after the man. "Hey," he called out. When Schraeder appeared to be ignoring him, he said, "Are you angry because you feel like you didn't do well in the battle, or are you upset because that girl isn't paying as much attention to you?" A was pretty sure that the man was interested in the girl if the jealous reaction was anything to go by. It seems she's the kind that is oblivious to advances. Heh, reminds me of my darling wife when she didn't even notice I was wooing her.

"Agent M to my associates and my enemies; you fall into category one, so that's the only name you need know me by," Agent M replied, arms crossed. After a moment of awkwardness, he extended his hand and shook Xu's.

Xu smiled as Agent M shook his hand. At least this is a sign of friendship.

"Nice to meet you Agent M," Xu said as they shook hands. Then Xu noticed another person approaching him. It was a young woman, with a dark tan and long black hair, which were in a messy state from what seems to have been a fight.

But the thing that interested Xu was that the feeling, aura, that she gave off was different from Agent M's. It was more clear, almost pristine.
Shifting his hand to the stranger, Xu greeted "Hello miss, you can call me Xu. What may I address you by?"

Adela smiled. "Nice to meet you, Xu. My name's Adela." She shook his hand firmly. Though I wish we'd met in better circumstances. Her hair was a mess and her clothes were ripped and bloodied. I really need a new shirt. At the very least a shirt. I'd be happy with a jacket.

She blinked and asked, "Oh, if you don't mind, would you care to tell what power you've got?" She added, "I'm a healer." I don't wanna seem rude to the new guy.

The young Brit turned to the newcomer, extending a hand.

"I am Joneleth Maxwell. Everyone simply refers to me as Jon... or 'that a**', as I've heard through whispers or perhaps my own sense of paranoia in regards to my own overwhelming former ego."

He spoke with a warm smile and showed that he harbored no ill feelings towards any who resented him for his earlier actions.

"As Adela already inquired, I too am speculating what power the Sigil imparted onto you, Xu. I have a limited control over the flow of temporal activity and I'm curious to know what other assets we have at our disposal."

Xu smiled warmly as he shook Adela's hand, and then shifted his attention to the red-cloaked individual.
"Pleased to meet you Joneleth," said Xu, returning the grin. After scanning Joneleth, Xu returned the handshake. This one has a clear aura too.
"Temporal activity?" Xu stumbled, surprised. "That must be quite an asset, Joneleth. I believe that everyone is happy to have you here." Grinning modestly, Xu continued "I'm afraid my abilities are not as fancy as yours."
Kneeling down, Xu put the palm of his hand on the ground of closed his eyes.
Concentrate... Xu then exerted his energy into and under the ground. If one paid attention, one could see a small trickle of light-green aura slide from Xu's palm and into the ground.
Then, opening his eyes, Xu slowly drew his hand up from the ground. Following his hand, was a fresh green stem, with a bulb at its end. As Xu's hand rose higher and higher the stem grew longer and stronger, and little thorns could be seen growing. Xu stopped his hand, about half a feet from the ground, and closed it into a fist. Then flipping his hand around, he slowly opened his fist, with the newly-formed rose opening in unison. Seeing the rose blossom, Xu stepped up and wiped his sleeve against his forehead.
"My abilities allow me to control, grow, and manipulate bio-life. Insects and primitive life is possible too. I'm not too confident on animals though," Xu exclaimed, readjusting his glasses.

Adela gaped. That's going to be plenty useful. She was impressed with his manipulation of his power. She stared at the flower, thinking about that amount of control. Bio-life...everwhere is crawling with that, so it really IS an amazing thing to have. Adela smiled at Xu. "Lovely rose," she complimented.

Finnegan looked at the flower inquisitively over Adela's shoulder, "Aye, that's a nice trick, laddie, gonna be useful, I'm sure."
He moved from behind Adela and extended his hand, "Me name's Finnegan, nice to meet ya, it is."

Schraeder stopped in the hall and turned to look at the Host-Agent. Schraeder had some curious ideas with this man.

The Host-Agents were absurdly powerful when compared to Schraeder and the others. As such, he expected them to act more like the way Host-Agent M acted, and that was fine. But this larger man, A, was on the other end of the spectrum.

This was not to say that there was no such thing as someone being powerful yet kind. Even more common was the gentle giant. Still, both, at the same time, and in such circumstances? Odds were slim, at the most.

This man deserved Schraeder's attention, at least, if not his respect.

"Why's it matter?" he grumbled. "Either way, it didn't go how I wanted." He sighed and shook his head, looking at A's feet.

A raised an eyebrow. "It matters because currently, we are teammates. As such, we are meant to worry over each other. If one is distracted, then it could mean the death of not only that person, but the rest of the team." The Agent crossed his arms. "If it's the fight that bothered you, then train. Get stronger, and this won't happen again. If it's the girl," he added, "then I sympathize with your situation." He ended the sentence with a wry grin.

Schraeder could not, despite his best efforts, contain the small smile that A's words brought. Damn him for being so earnest.

"I won't let the team down just yet," he said, shaking his head to hide his smile. "You don't have to worry about that. As long as there's strength left for me to use, then I'll use it to protect people that count on me."

He straightened up. "But as to the girl...well, I'm not too great in that field. Adela's really the first girl I've tried to get." He shrugged. This man had defused most of his temper.

A inwardly patted himself on the back. At least the man wasn't as angry as he was earlier. "Never said you'd let the team down. Just that people would worry over you." He had a slight smirk when he said, "the girl - Adela, was it? - seemed worried. But you probably left too fast to notice that."

A rubbed his chin. "Hm. Why her?" This was more curiosity than anything else. But if Schraeder really was serious about the girl, then A would try to subtly help him out. Damn it, my wife's rubbed off on me. He could almost hear his wife whining for him to get the two together.

Schraeder nodded, and this was the time when he began to feel...embarrassed?

"Well...it actually started as a social experiment. I'm a Journalism major and I was at the party to work on a story about how social dynamics can be influenced by anyone, even someone as inexperienced as myself. It just sort of went from there."

He shrugged again. A was sharp.
