"A water mage?" she asked curiously, "I haven't seen one of those in a while... I'll look forward to seeing your magic at work. We'll need your skills as a guide. As for your archery...." she smirked malevolently, "We'll just have to see if your skill is anywhere near as good as mine." Smirk dissapearing, she asked, "Now what is your name, elf?"

Kayn recognized Althenna’s response towards the elf before she realized the elf was up to trouble. Naturally, Kayn found herself instantly mistrusting him since he approached the table, but that was really because she felt like that towards everyone she did not know yet. When Althenna started to avoid his offer and putting on such a false disposition, Kayn realized that it was right to mistrust him. Although she didn’t see why Althenna wouldn’t just let her smash his head in, she decided to play along by accepting the elf as much as she would anyone else- with one of her signature hostile glares.

Things just didn't smell right to Valora. Elves do not just naturally join a group with intent to rebel - especially when the group is made up of a demon, a half-breed and a runaway. They are usually quite faithful towards their Elders - one thing they have in common with demons. Their group should have seemed more like a group of criminals on the run... which wasn't entirely untrue.
"Who-" Val tried to interrogate the two before welcoming them in, but was cut off by Althenna.
"Well, welcome. Do you have any special skills?" Althenna spoke with a grin. Valora narrowed her eyes. Surely Althenna wouldn't initially trust them so quickly?
"I am one of the greatest Elven archers, I'm a pretty good swordsman and I have control over water," Anduril told Althenna."I know the Pershna woods better than most Humans, and as well as the most traveled Elves."
Valora kept her cold eyes on the pair with mistrust. His skills claimed to be very impressive, which could also prove to be fatal if he were lying. "Your claims are very impressive," Val began as she eyed the male elf. "Why would such an accomplished being like yourself join a group like us? With skills like your own, I would guess you would have already been snatched up by one of your Elders."
He also claimed to know his way around very well, which then proves he has either done alot of pleasure travels, or had alot of..."jobs". Being a mercenary gave her good knowledge of travel aswell.

Anduril glanced at Valora."I have lived in the woods for many years, honing my skills," Anduril told her." Any messangers the Elders sent I killed. My name is Anduril, meaning Flame of the West."

Selce walked over to stand next to Anduril. "I am a decent swordsman, but other than that I'm pretty useless." She had decided to underplay herself so as to surprise anyone who decided she wasn't necessary or would hamper the mission. Selce eyed the other two but looked at the human woman who seemed to be their leader. She scanned the tavern for any trouble. ---- Aisha who had been about to walk over and 'suggest' nicely that the three rebels return with her dropped back on her heels. Three I may have been able to aprehend with my lord's backing, but five is a bit much. Aisha decided she would bide her time and find the best time to attack. She sat back down in her chair and listened in again.

"Wow." Althenna did a poor job of feigning impression, "You must be on some pretty heavy hit-lists." Standing and stretching again, she said, "Well, let's leave before our oddball group draws any more attention." And with that, she tried to set forth the swiftest path into the woods.
'We've barely even met each other and we're already drawing attention from trouble makers... well, trouble makers not on our side.' Althenna had never really liked espionage. But she knew enough about it to deal with these two, whatever their intentions... she hoped.

Another day, another band of Henry's men. The Merry Lord had wished to see them, perhaps becuase of his...little joke earlier that same week. They were tossed onto the floor of a raised platform in the forest. Built very much in the steeped tradition of the Elves and Seraphim, the many places of rest and safety of the Merry Company were naught but sturdy wooden platforms hanging in massive, heavily intertwined trees.

Anduril followed Althenna, with an arrow on the string of his bow.I'll wait until every one's asleep, then take them out, he thought, wondedering how much he would be paid for this job.

And just like that they headed into the forest.
Kayn was a bit furious that Althenna would at least humor Adruil for a bit. If she didn’t trust him she could have flat out said know, accused him of being a spy, and crushed his skull. Well, at least, that would be how Kayn would do it. But she wasn’t the one in charge of this hodgepodge group of rebels, now was she? If Althenna pretended to be too accepting towards this elf, it might be too late for all of them.
Kayn would always have to keep an eye on this guy at all times, although it seemed as if their group was on guard.

Selce readied her blade, she drew it about half out of it's sheathe and kept up her constant scan of the surroundings. A way farther in the woods she saw movement and nearly got ready to charge ahead before she realized it was but a squirrel. "Where must we go in here?" She asked, she didn't care what these three were about but she still wanted to find out. ------ Aisha's teeth shown in a snarl. She had followed the group of five into the Pershna woods. She hated the woods, all the little things that she couldn't eat were fast making her mood sour. She was very wary as she trailed the group, the elves looked alert, and the one knew his way around. Aisha had never been this deep in the odd skirmish or scouting orders she had been sent in. She was helplessly lost following these idiots, as she thought.

Althenna smirked, "Anywhere there might be people of use to us." she answered vaguely. All she had to do was lead them around long enough to figure out what they were about. Then she could deal with them. And in the Pershna woods, that wouldn't be a difficult task.
"And put that sword away, girl. It's not the animals you have to worry about here, it's the plants."

"Plants are not the only thing to be scared of in these woods." A voice said from what seemed like everywhere. "You must be scared of those nasty flesh eating plants." It said laughing as the sound of a bow was heard being drawn. "Who do I owe the honor to, to disturb my forest?!" It demanded as an arrow shot down into the middle of the group and the bow heard being drawn again.

Normaly, Althenna would dodge a hit like that (or at least try to) but with everyone else behind her, she instead drew her mother's blade and deflected it. The arrow still grazed her arm but it would not be life threatening.
'Unless the disembodied voice happened to have poisoned it.' she thought wryly.
She had barely had her band of rebels a day and already they had infiltrators, stalkers, and bodyless voices trying to kill them
"Mother did always say: 'You know you're doing something right when people want you dead'!" She said, almost happily. Drawing her own bladed bow, she notched an arrow and waited for a good shot.

"Oh your a fighter are you." The voice laughed at there feeble attempt to find and eliminate him. "I'll give you once chance to leave me woods before the poison sets in, leave and I'll leave the antidote by a tree where you exit." It laughed at the joy he had inflicted on her. "Leave my home and never return!" The voice laughed out in pure joy and it sounded as if the forest itself was laughing at all of them.

"You are a superbly creepy being!" Althenna called back, "But I cannot leave these woods! I have set my mind to end the wars and I believe the people I need are here, living in these woods. I will try my best to fallow what laws you lay down so long as I can search for re-reinforcements. Otherwise... well, I'll have to weather your poison, now, won't I?" she asked wryly.
