It's not my band director, but my percussion director who said it.
"Don't push me, push a push pop."
We were practicing a cadence (sp?) and the section leader snare kept going faster than our PD wanted. After about half an hour of this he yelled out the said quote. It was shocking, in a funny way, but it caught on. So all the percussion line took white tape and sharpies and wrote it on the backs of thier instrament T's. It was a good conversation starter.

My band teacher is really strange.
He thinks he is very funny.........
SO the other day he says "Brie" (A percussionist)
"I heard you said i wear weird sweaters" (he does)
And then he laughs idiotically for 5 minutes.
I thought it was retarded... oh well.

My band director is awesome. He's a little out of it, and he directed the band when my MOM was in it, but he's still awesome.
(band camp; you know the director's towers that they don't use?)
"Hey! You! In the cage!!"
Someone had left their water bottle under the tower, and they went to go get it; those towers DO look like cages...
(band camp; again...)
(impersonating Dr. Evil) "Throw me a frickin' bone here!"
He also loves Austin Powers, and does the best impersonation of Dr. Evil I've ever seen. Finger motion and everything (the seniors this year dedicated the senior t-shirts to that, with a picture of him doing the Dr. Evil pose)

There is this band director from one of our middle schools and he is hilarious he always referring his band members to tellitubbies and he sings the songs its great... The funniest thing my band teacher has ever said was "that sounds like the sound tjs gf made last night" hehe that story is we stayed after school and i picked her up and she like yelled it was sooo funny.

We had this one move in the marching show last year that was where you had to strattle your legs, with your knees bent like you're sitting in an invisible chair, laizily. When the band was learning it, lol the instructor said, "No Wideload (trumpet player who is very stiff) OPEN your legs. You have to be open for business." After that we had to have a break becuase everyone couldn't stop laughing.

meh, thats not as bad as our drum major cracking his voice during compotition. . . in front of all the pple! eek whee question
