Hmmm, Lessee... I go by Purple Lemon around the Net. As for the form:
Favorite Boingo/Elfman song: Ack... I'd have to say.. Perhaps "Change," or... uh... "What's This?" (BAH why didn't they use that in Kingdom Hearts II for the stupid Christmas board!?) Favorite band member: DANNY!! biggrin Favorite movie: The Last Unicorn. Other bands I like: TMBG, The Offspring, The Monkees, Simon and Garfunkel, etc etc etc. Favorite food: Coke. The soda. Does that count? Favorite actor: Haley Joel Osment Favorite color: Purple!
Hmmm what else... ah, got into Boingo sorta sometime in '95 when I got the Ghostbusters II soundtrack (Flesh 'N Blood, my first Boingo love biggrin ). About 5 years later I decided to spread out, musically, and haphazardly typed in Oingo Boingo to CDNow's search thingy. I took a listen to Nasty Habits clip under the Anthology listing and was instantly determined to get that CD. I got it, loved it, bought the remaining CDs in record time (I lucked out and most of the CDs were still readily available in stores), snapped up Farewell and the Skeletons in the Closet video, sold my soul (or at least $150) for a copy of someone's entire collection (9 video tapes, 30-40 cassette tapes and 11 CDs wortha stuff!) and then spent the better half of a summer with a friend lyricking my entire Oingo Boingo collection and posting on a website, as well as dilligently trading for various concerts and rarities. Oh yeh, and I also have about 47 Elfman scores (or scores that contain Elfman themes in them) plus both MFADT's, and some secondhand signed stuff.
I must say, Boingo is definitely the ONLY band that I can actually at the VERY least tolerate every single song they did. I'd say I actually LOVE/strongly like about 90% of it. The other 10% I like occasionally, but there is nothing I hate or despise! I do have to say I'm not a super big fan of the MKOTOB, though there are some songs of theirs I absolutely love.
And that sums up my period of rabid Boingo fandom. I've since calmed down a LOT, but I do still quite enjoy my Boingo/Elfman music!

Impressive, Purple Lemon! I have to agree on what you said about liking every single song. But I also do love the Mystic Knight's suff! Oh, I love love love it all! <333 There are only three songs I don't particularily like: Piggies, Can't See(useless), and that other song that's on the Boingo album.
Edit: The last one I don't particularily like was Lost Like This.

Edit: The last one I don't particularily like was Lost Like This. I prefer the earlier version of Lost Like This. It seems better in its original form. It is definitely a Soul song. I REALLY like this bit in particular: I don't believe in ghosts or apparitions Don't believe what I can't see Living in a world of fallen angels Something's watching over me The MKOTOB isn't quite my style. Not so much into cabaret or jazzy stuff. I do LOVE their more rocky stuff though (Gotta Get Out, I Always Talk To Pictures, The Entertainer, Goodbye, Goodbye, etc.... pretty much any MKOTOB songs on my website - the ones I bothered to lyric - are the ones I adore!) And all in all they are quite entertaining, and it's really awesome to see how Oingo Boingo formed from the MKOTOB. I like Can't See (Useless) because it's so darned angsty! I love how it crescendoes out of control after starting out so quietly and nicely. Piggies I like because the lyrics are somewhat humorous. I hated Pedestrian Wolves for the longest time, but after accidentally listening to the entire album on repeat for several days in a row it really grew on me. Like by the time I noticed it was on, it was halfway over. That's one of the songs I more tolerate than anything, but I do enjoy it once in a while, when I'm inthe mood or haven't heard it in a while.

I remember I didn't like Pedestrian Wolves the first few times I heard it either. And one day I found myself humming something, and I was like "What is that?" I thought hard to come up with what the lyrics were. They ended up being "I'm so excited , about the prospects of meeting with a
Stranger in an alley, I'm so excited. I hope they're rough, I hope their
skin is Tough like Spanish leather
Can't wait until their dull, dead eyes meet mine
I can't wait until their dull, dead eyes meet mine "
And I thought about it for a while, and then I said "Wait...is that...? Yes, that's Pedestrian Wolves! How did I not see how good this song is?!?!"
