He smiled, very pleased that she decided to stay longer by her own will, and she hadn't mentioned him talking a bite out of her for nearly a good ten minutes! What progress, he thought.
"I will enjoy this spot and time then."

A little shiver racked Letho's body- with the setting of the sun and the coming darkness it was getting slightly chilly. She did not say anything or move though, as she was not sure that there was anything that would be done, anyway.

Nightshade's Fury stood close to Letho in silence, looking up at the sky with his closed eyes before resting his head on hers.

Her head lowered slightly with the weight of Nightshade's Fury's, but she made no move to pull away from him, thankful for the warmth he provided, and for the suprisingly pleasant company.
"Why a box?" she asked suddenly, a hint of laughter in her voice.

He unconsciously nuzzled his muzzle against Letho's head and then smirked, "Keeps my head dry."
Hey baby, wanna come back to my box for the night?
The thought passed though his mind, and he chuckled softly.

Letho squirmed a bit and squinted as the sun finally disappeared over the horizon. She heard what he said but it didn't seem to make sense and neither did the chuckle.
"But what if there's a storm?" she questioned, "Wouldn't it fall in?"

"Then I'd be glad I had the box to keep my dry now wouldn't I?" He laughed more, falling back softly on his rear.

"I meant..." Letho's muzzle crinkled in confusion as she settled down on the grass and rolled onto her back to stare up at the sky, but the laughing fox-pony pulled her attention away.
That's not what I meant! she thought to say, but hearing and seeing him laugh like that tugged a smile from her and she began giggling right along with him.
He was a strange one, in much more than appearances.

"You're smiling," he noted, casting his gaze over her.
She had a nice laugh, he thought. He was glad Seraphim brought him here and allowed them to meet after all.

Letho's giggles settled down, an embarassed silence overtaking her. "I suppose." she said quietly.
Her attention was once again taken by the sky and she let out a little sigh. "Do you ever look at the stars?"

"Sometimes," he said as he looked up at the sky. "But right now I'm having a difficult time doing so. "There is something brighter than a star right in reach. If only I could touch it," he mused.

A red tint overcame Letho's features.
"Just promise not to eat me." Her voice had a soft lilt to it and her words sounded as if they were being sung. She stared up at Nightshade's Fury's face, unsure of where, exactly to look, but she settled for his perpetually closed eyes.

"Will you prepare a meal for me then if I am hungry?" He asked with a light smile, turning his muzzle to face her.

Letho's face crinkled in slight disgust. "If you do not mind eating terribly cooked food." she said flatly.
Her expression softened the tiniest bit and she shook her head, "I am not a very good cook."

"If you cooked it I would not leave a single drop."
How better would someone should they care!
