"JERK!" she cried at the door. Teagan gave a big, frustrated huff, and passed right out on the bed to sleep for hours.
--
A dream shook her sleep. She could see her parents boarding a ship. A ship that was already taking off as she ran towards it in a smaller body. Teagan could feel her strained cries for them to come back, to not leave her there and go away for a long time, but they were drowned out by the blast of rockets propelling the ship. It flew above her into the dark night sky and became a star that she could never reach.
And as she sudden;y became taller and taller in her dream, and felt herself falling into a void, Teagan awoke in a thrash to crash to the floor below in a heap of sheets and sweaty clothes. Her fever had broken, but at the price of a bruised elbow and hip, and a shaking body at the adrenaline rush.

Meanwhile, while Teagan had been asleep for what seemed like hours, Nat was able to complete the entire to do lit she had out, as well as clean the entire downstairs spotlessly. He had made sure not to pilfer through her things but simply clean it all to a sparkling shine so that maybe it'd make her a bit happier.
He was just about to sit down to rest when he heard a thump. He hesitated a moment before running up stairs to see what it was. "Teagan?...Are you alright?" He asked knocking on the door though wouldn't enter unless she allowed him to. He didn't know if she were decent or not and didn't want that mark against him as well.

"Yeah!" Her voice sounded a bit taxed, but she anxiously tried to free herself from the sheets. The dress she still had on was sweaty and cold to her, and she could just imagine hat she looked like then. Thank goodness it was over, though. "I'm fine, Nat... just... fell out of bed."

Nat furrowed his brow, cracking the door slightly to see her. She was a mess. But not just because she looked slightly sickly and mussed over. Something was troubling her. "Hey..." He knelt down on the floor next to her, taking her chin with his hand to make her look at him. "...are you ok?" He asked this again only this time made it much more personal with his eyes. He could read her pretty well and she was dealing with something.

As Teagan looked up at the man who had selflessly helped her after all the berating she'd done, her face became heated right to her ears. She wasn't about to tell him that she'd had a nightmare about her parents leaving her. But she could water everything down so she wouldn't be a burden, or seem like such a child.
"Just had a dream that must have made me get a little jumpy. Slept through that part, woke up when I hit the floor." Teagan took her chin out of his hand and shimmied herself out of the last tangle to come to a sitting position by her bed. With a few rubs of her face, she seemed to have gained some healthy color back. "I'm okay, Nat."

Nat sighed slightly, not taking his eyes off her for a moment. "...ok." He stood, grunting slightly as he stretched. "Well judging by the still full bowl of soup here, and face that doesn't look like you're on your deathbed, I'd say you're probably hungry?" He asked with a big smile to her. "how's about you clean yourself up, and I'll whip somehting up for us."

"Yeah... I want to shower, though." Teagan stood with very slow, calculated motions so she wouldn't topple right over. Once on two feet, she looked at Nat with something of a smile. He'd stayed with her. He'd done everything that needed to be done, and had kept busy even until then, when the sun was setting outside. She'd slept the day away while he had made sure everything, her included, was taken care of. Somehow she couldn't fully grasp that no matter how many times she mulled it over. "Thanks, Nat."

He looked her up and down quickly, giving her a small smile in return. "...No problem..." He smiled a little wider, looking down shyly before disappearing down stairs to get food ready.

Teagan went into her shower, and made a point not to look at herself in the mirror so she couldn't know or remember just how terrible she looked.
The steam was thick and lovely by the time she came out all clean and refreshed. Though she still looked tired, she looked better, and felt better, too. All she needed was her pajamas for a change, and down the stairs she went looking rather decent.
"Hey, Nat?" she said, looking for him around the kitchen corner.

Nat jumped slightly, spinning around to hide a large square, flat, cardboard box, behind his back. "Oh! Glad you're here! Just finished cooking dinner all by myself you know." He winked at her, gesturing to a large pizza pie in the center of the counter, on a rather nice platter.

"The kitchen's awfully clean for making a pizza all by yourself," Teagan said, noticing that he was hiding something behind his back as she inspected the lovely looking food on the table. The cheese was still bubbling and hot. Her eyes looked up from the pizza to inspect Nat with a smirk. "And I could have told you that there was a frozen one in the freezer. Tsk tsk."

Nat smiled like a fool, looking down. "Ok you've got me..." he held up the box with a shrug, going to put it in with her trash. "But you can't blame me for tryin. Now...what do you have to drink? I doubt a girl like yuou has any soda, so...how about a glass of wine?" he asked. "I saw a few vineyards while traveling through here and always wanted to try some..."

Teagan expertly took the box from him like a pickpocket and placed it with her recycling instead. "Oh, I have soda alright. Just promise me you won't get too tipsy on that wine, alright? It's a bit strong. Potent, really."
Teagan wasn't feeling too up to getting drunk, but a bit of wine would help her get better and give other benefits. While that was true, it would help her justify just a few glasses.

Nat smiled. "Hey, I've drank with the best of them. It takes A LOT to get me drunk..." he smirked but nodded, getting out some plates for them. "But I think you could use a glass yourself. You really need to jsut relax, and hopefully it'll help you sleep easier." He said thoughtfully as he pulled out two wine glasses as well.

Teagan nodded and took up the bottle to pour. Pizza and wine. Not exactly traditional, but they could always start doing that at any time. Once they both had their glasses full, Teagan put hers up to his for a toast.
"To a guy who dropped outta nowhere and took care of me while I was loopy with fever and still a bit woozy from sickness."
