Fun time. Alone and outgunned, Xaver had his work cut out for him. The Resolve needed those supplies, and that meant the shuttle had to make it.
Even if he died in its' defense.
Swallowing down any fear and summoning up the cold, reptilian resolve he was used to, Xaver flew into attack position, aiming dead for the TIEs, as he began loading up his homing missles. Two targets acquired. He let loose a flurry of linked lasers, trying to get them to dodge toward the outside, and as this happened, he let fly the two torpedos. Hopefully, at least one would hit.

The lead fighter pulled into a barrel roll as the barrage of laser fire closed in on his flight, as he rolled he returned fire sending a deadly barrage of laser fire toward the gunboat. The other three fighters scattered to the winds as a pair of missiles shot from the assault gunboat and chased the rearmost starfighter.
The fighter dove hard bringing the bulk of the modular conveyor between it and the missile, but the missiles sped past the conveyor in a wide arc as the lost sensor lock. They began pinging the area looking for a new target.

Jumping and coming back down past the laser bolts, Xaver followed up on the rear fight as he shrugged off the missile. He managed to lose the tail arround the modular, but Xaver flew around the otherside, spewing laserfire just as he would've popped back up the otherside. With luck, a kill.
And hopefully by now, the missiles would've found targets, and Mynock 3 would've reported the situation.

" Secure the prisoners. " Diana ordered. A few of the stormtroopers in the rear took over from there as the others continued to advance, making their way to the bridge. They paused for a moment when they reached the door, a pair of troopers went up to each side, ready to provide cover as the rest prepared to storm in.

((These pilots are really low level EK, save for the TIE Leader they're used to doing reconissance and have never engaged in combat before. The only threat to you is the lead TIE.))
The rear pilot had turned and ran back toward the Carrack, so as the Gunboat spewed laser fire into the sector it turned out to be empty. As the missiles spun in their slow circle they found their target emerging from the cover of the Modular Conveyor and sped forward toward the Gunboat, but within seconds their computers calculated they wouldn't reach their target and self destructed.
The TIE leader continued to pursue the gunboat blazing laser fire as it sped past the modular conveyor.
Onboard the Modular Conveyor the captain grabbed his DH-17 and turned to face the door. Behind him the helmsman was desperately trying to pull his sidearm from the holster and failing utterly.

The door flew open as Diana's force stormed into the bridge. The 4 taking cover behind the door had their weapons aimed at the Captain, since he was the immediate threat. " DROP IT, NOW! " Diana yelled to him as they poured in.

Stormtroopers, the captain thought as the doors slid open, how could stormtroopers possibly go rogue. As the angry voice of the stormtrooper echoed in the room the pistol tumbled from his hands.

" Get them outta here. " Diana ordered. A few of the stormtroopers went over to the Captain and the helmsman to remove them from the bridge.
The others went over to the ship's systems. " Inform our boys we have the ship, and let's get this stuff back home. "

Two wasted torpedos, his trap failed, and he had a tail of his own. Damn. Today was just not his day.
Cursing, Xaver threw his controls into a barrel-role, making a tight U-turn, guns blazing. Knowing the TIE would probably pass him up and try to match his maneuver, Xaver instead reversed his controls, throwing the XG-1 into a second u-turn, putting him back into the direction he had been originally flying, albeit a bit dizzy now.
And with luck.... bingo. Target lock. Hoping he'd luck out, he fired another homer, lasers already blazing as he hoped to outgun the TIE who, hopefully, had been caught.

As the TIE fighter pulled around the Modular Conveyor the pilot froze at his controls as he saw the Assault Gunboat bearing down at him. Laser bolts framed his fighter as the missile raced in. Instinctively he pulled the eject handle and with a puff of escaping air the TIE pilot was shot from his fighter and began tumbling through space. Seconds later the missile connected with the TIE turning it into flaming shrapnel.

The pilot known as Mynock 2 shut down the Stormtrooper Transport's engines and raced to the modular conveyor's bridge. Within seconds he plopped down at the helm and began to activate the ship's systems, the ion charge had worn off.
At the edge of the nebula a half dozen TIE Bombers and Mynock 3 burst forth followed by the total TIE Fighter strength of the Resolve. They closed to engage the Carrack which had begun to reverse course.

About damn time they show up. Mynock Three, Raptor Flight, and all of his buddies, here to make hell on everything.
The bogies seemed to realize this, and were turning to leave with the Carrack in the face of overwhelming odds. Or maybe they were just regrouping.
But, it wasn't over yet. They still had to work fast in order to get out of here before more baddies arrived.
Putting himself on guard duty around the captured Modlar and the shuttle, Xaver flipped his comm on. "How much longer, girls?"

" The ship's secure. We're about to head back home with the prize. " Diana replied to the comm. She then went over to one of the squad leaders. " What's the damage? " " Aside from the one ship's gunner that got injured in the fighting, nobody was hurt, Ma'am. "
" Good. I was hoping to avoid needless fatalities. See to it he gets proper aid if it's bad, then look for any hidden bugs. I don't want another tracking device incident. " Diana said. It was doubtful anyone put one somewhere when they realized they were being boarded, but it didn't hurt to be safe.

The Modular Conveyor slowly turned toward the nebula and lit her drives. Behind the controls the Mynock 2 flicked on his comm. "Mynock lead this is two, we got her moving... estimate about a minute until we reach the nebula."
Outside the formation of TIE Bombers began volley firing their warheads on the Carrack-cruiser now in retreat. The green flashes of turbolaser fire illuminating the whole area as the ship moved away. Then three ships emerged from hyperspace some two thousand kilometers distant.
Two Imperial-I class Star Destroyers flanked an enormous vessel, approximately 3.1 kilometers long the Titan-class Star Cruiser Sinmara looked like a fattened ISD with a rounded stern, but she had enough firepower to take on six of her smaller brethren.
"Oh s**t." Mynock 2 said as the ships appeared on his scope. "The Admiral just arrived."

Realizing this, Xaver picked up his own comm and spoke back to Two. "Roger that. Go ahead and tell the rest of the TIEs to pack up. We're going to need a quick escape..."
Unless Pala wanted them to hide in the Nebula, and come out when it was clear. But that was risky. If they waited too long, the rest of the fleet would show up and blockade them. "Yeah, just get the TIEs, and load up as quickly as you can. Me and Three will just have to hop on our own."

Kai had barely gotten the chance to pull herself out of the gunner's seat and rest before the alarms went off and she was right back in the chair, waiting for the first enemy to raise its head. She was extremely paranoid about the idea of having to shoot at TIE fighters, what if it was one of there own, she kept wondering.
