She got a sudden image of a little one with her pale skin and Plum's silvery hair, almost like an eternal snowflake to call their own. She blushed a little, lowering her head to the ground again. "Yeah..." was all she could say.

"I've seen Seraphim's delight for combining ponies, so I'm certain they'd be beautiful. They'd be a really amazing mix of our colors, too." She secretly hoped they would all be as shimmering as Plum.

 A sound very loud as thunder rumbled through the sky- though it was only heard by two. A somewhat sleepy Seraphim stumbled into view and promptly tripped over his own two front feet.
Yes. Seraphim was more than "somewhat sleepy" though he'd never admit he was flying tired.
His bright blue eyes shimmered as he righted himself and peered around his surroundings. Finally they fell on the two ponies that summoned him.
"I heard you calling." he mused, his voice clearly sleepy but as elegant as ever. "What do you want?" His words didn't match his voice- but they rarely did.

Plum was about to tell Mercury about his desires for a child with a long, blue braid and his shimmering purple skin when the thunder clapped. When Seraphim tumbled before them, Plum let out an excited winy.
"Seraphim!"

Mercury had to do a double-take. Did the sky just crap out the very pony they had been discussing?
She sat there in complete disbelief, thankful that her outward appearance did not give out the 'WHATTHEHELLWHATTHEHELL' going through her mind. She thought his question was a little odd -- he mated and created ponies. What else would they want.
"Orbs," she replied simply.

"With your blessing, Seraphim, we would like to be Life Mated with a family of our own." He smiled kindly, bowing a bit to the grand pony.

Seraphim nodded in response to Plum's bow, his eyes giving away just how tired he really was.
"Well. If you are life mates I suppose there's really no reason to not bless you." he spoke, mostly to himself. After a moment, his over-sized wings flapped and one feather escaped each wing.
The feathers towards the ponies, one to each, and landed on their muzzles. They sat there for a moment then burst into a million points of light- or what looked like light; Sparkling dust floated around the two ponies and then settled onto their bodies, disappearing as if they had never been there in the first place- Seraphim was not one to repeat himself.
"You won't feel any different." he commented, "but the next time- or rather, the first time- I come to you to bless you with orbs, you will know."
He offered a nod to the couple and then... Just as suddenly, loudly and quickly as he came, was swallowed up by the air.

Plum crossed his eyes as the feather landed on him. He twitched his nose as it disappeared. "Orbs?!" He was giddy. "Thank you Seraphim!" He pranced around Mercury. "I hope he blesses us with Orbs soon!"

She watched the feather, smiling a bit when she looked over and saw Plum crossing his eyes. Seraphim was right -- she didn't feel any differently. But his words were enough to bring forth a surge of happiness.
"Thank you," she barely breathed out as he left.
She gave Plum a wry smile as he danced around her. His silliness was contagious.

--------------------------- Sunlight filtered past Mercury's slitted orbs, coaxing the dreaming mare to open them fully. In the bright light, she could see the slumber form of her mate and their orbs nestled between them.
Briefly, a smile crossed her face.

Plum stirred as well, letting out a very soft yawn. He moved to stretched, feeling the gentle press of their orbs nestled between them. They felt so warm and perfect against his body.
"I see that smile." He kept his voice quiet, as if the orbs would awaken at even the loudest sound.

And just as quickly, the smile was gone, her eyes clamped shut. "You didn't see anything."
Love hadn't made Mercury any less stubborn, apparently. She stretched her legs until hooves met with the closest orb, little Kunzite. She could feel the babe moving within, ready to meet her sometime soon.

"Oh yes, I did." He chuckled, settling his head on his hooves.
Plum had fallen for Mercury and was quite content around her. "Our little ones will be coming out soon. I can't wait to meet them."

"You think you're so cute, don't you?" Her eyes opened fully, now, staring across their little river of orbs to see her mate. She glanced down at Kunzite and brushed the edge of his orb with her hoof.
"Do you really think so?" She wondered how he knew.
