"Mhm, this isn't done yet, so we'll see, eh?" Without consent, he grabbed Victoria by the arm and nearly dragged her through the crowd of allies. The Raven was distracted, and likely would flail about in the air anyway, due to Victoria's blinding. So, he brought them to a more advantageous position, looking back to give a nonchalant smile.

"Which one do you want to aim for, Sister?"

Morphs. Of course it would have to be these vile, disgusting things. They were serving as the front line for the Heroes, were they? This was pathetic, the creatures were being slaughtered left and right. Misura was the one who was meant to defend the other Heroes. A rough grin grew on her face, and she glanced back at the Valkyrie seated atop the horse next to her. "Ready, Jyoti?" she asked, fitting the helmet onto her head. "We move now. If we take them out first, they won't get to the other heroes. Stay by me, and we'll protect each other. We won't die."

Even through the sounds of battle, Misura's armor still echoed as she moved, announcing the arrival of the great General. The runed blade rested gently on her shoulder, this set of armor shining like new. It was quite an impressive sight, though even with the armor she only stood around 5' 6". With Jyoti to protect her from any long-range threat and seeing who might sneak up on her, and Misura to stop any and all physical threats, their teamwork was nigh-impenetrable; even more so than Misura simply wielding Vezra.

Now, who to target? Ah... there was a familiar face. Her eyes lit upon the same bishop who had escaped her earlier. And what was this? The girl Kyros had set his eyes on - a General, oddly, just as Misura was - seemed to be this bishop's love. Then Misura would have Kyros' assistance as well, distracting the man towards the girl's safety while Misura could take care of him. "You! Priest!" Her voice boomed out across the battlefield. "We have unfinished business!" The blade flashed out, severing the head of a Morph reckless enough to step into her path. She had a target, and she was going to have his head, as well.

Victoria was now slightly irritated at the fact that Arashe just decided to grab her. "Hey now! I'm a person, not a doll you can drag around!" she scolded, just before she drew her staff out.

Her Fortify, how handy it was... it had been newly repaired by the Hammerne just before her arrival. Her gaze shifted to Arashe. "Just cover me. Let me heal these reckless, foolish warriors..."

She called forth the spell, and summoned the large healing light that blanketed her allies. This spell was limited, but it would be good to keep energy up against the morph army. Mika couldn't make those morphs forever.

Ephraim didn't have much time to react when the arrows shower made contact. Several hit but he managed to dodge any that would hit any vital part. No time to think, barely enough time to act. It seemed these 'heroes' Ephraim heard about had been gathering and man would this be one helluva fight. Those morphs he had seen were here as well and in less then a minute, this area had turned into a battlefield.

One morph suddenly came at him. Ephraim raised his spear and pierced it through the chest and pulled his arm back. These creatures were going to drain their energies by the time they actually GOT to facing the heroes. He grumbled, and shoved another that approached his left against the tree behind it and moved back toward the others a bit.

As the terrible man has leaned closer to him, he wanted so badly to move away, but the fire was behind him. He swallowed hard, listening to Loki talk about how powerful he was... How stupid Octavio is...

Ashera, please... Help... I don't think... I'm really ready... He pleaded in his thoughts.

To his relief, Loki moved in the other direction.

"I daresay you aren't worthy to fight the likes of me. Perhaps I'll allow Váli to kill you. I have better things to do, I'm certain."

Octavio blinked and looked around... Váli?! What's a Váli?! He caught sight of the little animal scurrying around...
What the heck... He wants me to battle that?! He won't fight me? I can't... let that happen. No matter how much I wish I didn't have to, I can't let him... do that.

"You... Do you..." Oh I'm going to die. "Do you mean that you're a chi-chi-chicken? You would pawn the fight off on an animal? I'm sure that would definitely teach the goddess a lesson... Loki the all powerful doesn't take his own fights..."

"Maybe that's the reason why"
"You can't ever fly..."

The Elwind shot straight toward Castello...

And there was an explosion. A few black feathers floated to the ground.

The Raven was gone.

As Octavio pleaded for assistance, Ashera's voice melted softly into his mind.

"Child, fear not... Take caution and do not let him frighten you. Remain clear in mind and do not underestimate his tactics."

Outside, the setting sun seemed to be ablaze as the battle raged on. A whisper drifted through the ears of those who opposed the morphs, the Heroes and Mika, urging them forward, empowering them with valor and vitality.

Mika, fully restored, headed into the battle... Oh there would be hell to pay for that. Rhys...

She poked at the hell tome in her bag. Maybe I should you hell on him! Haha...

She decided to stick with Erishkegal. After all it was the most powerful one she had... It was her father's.

She moved into the battlefield, scanning for Rhys.

Where did he go. that worm...?

Annis the Raven

PostPosted: Wed Jul 01, 2009 11:53 am

Annis had been set to dodging frantically as soon as the arrows were set flying. One of those things piercing a wing meant death, and that wasn't something Annis wanted to happen. She dodged an arrow, then a second. Where had they come from, anyway? Oh, ******** it, there was no time to question. She flew away from the barrage, trying to get out of range. Then she could just watch the rest fall as the guild members protected themselves...

When the attack finally ended, Annis had a moment to breathe and see the battle again. Castello was still fighting, dipping and rolling as his claws raked across the earth. Her face paled; there were so many archers down there. Who was she even supposed to help, anyway? No one was there to help her decide, and--

An explosion, making Annis shriek instinctively. She held her arms over her face. When she looked back, she saw the feathers falling, and... no Castello.

Where was he?

"Castello!" Annis shouted, eyes wide. "Castello!"

Rhys heard the booming voice before he saw her. "Oh, no..." Rhys said sadly. "Not HER again..."

Rhys wasn't sure whether or not his spells could work on her, but he DID know he didn't want to find out. He tapped Amelia on the shoulder and pointed at Misura. "You see that General right there? Change of plans. For reasons of her sword, I can't defeat her. I'll handle the Valkyrie with her. Take the General, okay?"

Fa remembered one more thing before the Raven was blasted and gone. Athos said in the past, " Use his as a last line of defense crush your dragonstone and you will able to blast with divine lights from your mouth and hands. Beware you will never be able to transform again." Fa thought it was worth the risk and crushed her dragonstone and she felt a HUGE rush of energy flow through her and sent a flying ball of divine light towards 5 morphs in a group.

Victoria watched as the raven fell, much to her relief. One down at least. She took a look at the raging Misura, and Jyoti right beside her. Those two looked dangerous, and they didn't look like they were going to be separating any time soon.

Who else to target? Maybe for now, I should just do more healing.

She'd switched to her Psychic staff for now... waiting for it to react.

Sue also noticed Castello's fall, and was prepared for him to get back up, but not so much watching him to neglect the field around her. She drew her Killing Edge, it shining like new until she first covered it in morph blood upon stabbing an enemy Paladin right through his skull. The nomad trooper pulled it out hastily.

Rei... where are you? I thought you were maybe brainwashed to their side... or being held hostage? Neither... you... you can't be...

Leon's pleasures of the battlefield were wearing down slightly, but he never lost is morale and energy, especially thanks to the Lady bishop's Fortify spell. He and Anri rushed ever forward towards Domanova, the shield... careful of course. He'd seen how that archer hadn't stood a chance against Espinne, and would have to avoid it if he wanted to survive.

"But I ain't just survivin'. I'm gonna win!" he declared as he reached behind, making a mighty swing that knocked a morph Nomadic Trooper right off the horse with a sizable gash running all the way up his back.

Loki smirked, unfazed by Octavio's rather weak insults. "That animal is my familiar, Octavio. He is like a son to me, and he holds a fraction of my power that is more... appropriate to battle something as pathetic as yourself. Váli!" he called as the little chinchilla ran right through the barrier of flames to join him.

"Take care of our guest, would you please?" Váli squeaked softly.

In an instant, he was behind Octavio, and he opened his jaws wide, creating a powerful suction force that threatened to draw the Archsage into the tiny space of the rodent's maw! He was going to eat him alive!

Octavio panicked as he found that the thing was behind him. "Aah!" he yelled.

No! Not like this!

He suddenly turned and whacked it as hard as he could with his staff...

The Scripts of Strategy

Mika had other worries now.

There was a roar, an awful, monstrous roar, deep and resonating as Neros suddenly leapt into existence, emerging from the wall that the others had appeared from. He was surrounded in a black aura that looked horribly poisonous (it really wasn't) as his wicked wings spanned and threw a vast shadow over the area. His form was distorting as though it was a future-day hologram. His voice was distorted in a similar manner, but he was as real as the earth around them, as real as the swords clashing, the arrows flying, the feathers falling.

And he was bulleting right into Mika's back, driven by the wind that he manipulated, the foul wind tainted by his transgressive nature. He slammed the poor girl into the ground, eyes wild, fangs wide and flying with black saliva, snarling and gurgling as he trembled and shook. Neros glared down at Mika with such fury that it bled into everything he touched.

And then he looked to the side, and he saw Madriana...

And he stopped, he froze, his heart screeched to a halt...

Black, mudlike tears poured down his face. How dare Mika desecrate Madriana's image like this! How dare she! How dare she!

Screaming, shrieking, howling, Neros's claws dug deep into Mika's shoulders, drawing blood, and he lifted up high into the sky with a channel of wind magic, making sure the gravity made it painful for the girl — and he trembled and quaked, losing control of his mind, his body shaking and distorting, the colors refusing to stay in the lines...

Words poured from his mouth, his soft velvet lips, but they were horrible words that had no meaning, no meaning at all, it was all blabber and mumble and...

Soren glanced up at the overwhelming noise. He took note that the raven was missing, but with the state of things did not trust his own eyes, and thus he raised another shield of whipping wind blades to protect him and Fa from ambush. His eyes shot up as a shadow rose into the sky with Mika.

He knew that shadow.

But that was not his concern.

Soren marched forward, blasting nearby morphs back with Elwind. They needed to get further, they needed the battle done. The blades and currents were touched with the breath of a dragon, and he was lifted by the power, much like when he used his own body to channel Rexcalibur. He blew down one company of morphs, then blew down another. Throwing them down did not kill them but they were made easy targets.
