Volcano cake... if I'm not mistaken, is one of those hollowed out cakes with the yummy frosting in the middle rather then on the outside, he said with a nod. He looked to Riley, grinning widely. Yeah, they've got parfait for you... he said, waving down the waiter, ordering the three desserts, politely demanding their bloody mary's from before, which they still hadn't gotten. He smiled faintly, leaning a little bit towards Giovanna, for no particular reason.

Riley watched Makoto move towards Giovanna, and sent him a strange look. He shook his head to himself and looked to Giovanna, shifting in his seat to rest his folded arms on the table once more. Well, where I come from, volcano cake is a devil's food cake with a rich chocolate sauce in the middle, so that when you cut through it, the sauce seeps from the cake containing it.

Giovanna nodded. Well, they sound about the same, she smiled. I've never had it, so you're both right! she said, raising a finger in the air and giving a perfect 'Eureka!' expression. So it's chocolate? Sounds yummy. She smiled brightly, her wings fluttering behind her. She felt this and raised an eyebrow, as it hadn't happened in years.

Makoto narrowed his eyes at Riley, not sure why his friend was being so... unfriendly. Okay... he mumbled, leaning back against his seat, sinking down in it quite a bit. He wrapped his arms around himself, looking down.

Riley looked to Makoto a moment, confused slightly at his sudden drawback. He shook his head some as he looked to Giovanna, and culdn't help but laugh softly. For an older woman, she seemed to have a bit of childish joy about her, so smily over chocolate cake. You're precious, did you know that? he laughed softly after a moment of trying to keep to himself.

Giovanna opened her mouth some, forming an 'O', as she moved her eyes to look at Riley. Are you talking to me? she asked, pointing to herself. She quickly looked next to her to Makoto. Hey, what's wrong? she asked, tugging on his sleeve.

Nothing, he said, shaking his head before sitting up completely, their desserts and drinks having finally arrived. He grabbed a fork and started eating his pie, sighing softly.

Riley frowned softly as he pulled his drink to himself along with his dessert. I'm sorry if I upset you...he offered silently to Makoto. He turned his attentions to Giovanna and nodded. Yes, I was talking to you...he chuckled, shaking his head some before hanging it slightly, rather shyly.

Precious, she repeated, looking at her cake. She smiled warmly, pulling it closer to her and taking a fork into her hand before breaking it towards the center, so to see if anything 'seeped' from it. Giovanna's expression turned to a delighted one upon noticing the chocolate goo inside. She took a bite, smiling and nodding. Delicious! she exclaimed, chocolate crumbs adorning her bottom lips. She moved a hand to pat Makoto's arm. Don't be sad, pleeeease?

Makoto smiled to Giovanna, shaking his ungroomed brown locks. I'm not sad, he said, taking another bite of his pie. I was just thinking. We're definitely going to have to come back here, what I had was delicious. He looked to Riley for his input.

The burger wasn't bad...this is pretty good too. Riley nodded to Makoto. Next time, I'm getting something else though. He offered a laugh with it to avoid any further discomfort between him and Makoto, and looked to Giovanna. Did you enjoy yours? he asked, feeling a little awkward as she didn't seem interested in him in the least.

My food was very good, she answered, stuffing another bite of her cake into her mouth, chocolate sauce falling onto her chin. She didn't realize it as she took another bite. And I love this cake! she exclaimed. How's your parfait? she asked, mouth still full, her wings fluttering more rapidly now.

Makoto laughed softly when Riley did, nodding before looking back to his pie. He took another bite and slowly chewed it before taking a long drink from his frozen beverage. He glanced to the clock, staring at it a moment. I'm glad you two like your food... he said quietly.

It's great parfait! Riley laughed, blushing faintly as he looked to Giovanna. Makoto's glance to the clock unconsciously called for Riley to do the same. On a time limit? He asked, a little confused.

Giovanna finished her cake and delicately wiped her mouth with a napkin. Is something wrong? she asked, looking from Makoto to Riley. Do you guys have curfews?
