Kara took a deep breath as the castle came near enough for her to see a slender figure at the huge doors in front of the castle. She straightened proudly for her father's sake and ran her fingers through her long, wavy hair.
"Baey, tell the others to stay back a tiny ways. I don't want to seem as if I'm too anxious around here," she told the avian.
"Of course, your highness," her guard said with a slight nod, knowing that only he would be beside her for the time being. Baey pulled his horse back to speak with the other guards.
Kara shook her head slightly and gently tapped her horse's flanks. The mare tossed her head spiritedly and moved into a light trot. Toren sighed heavily, downed the rest of his blood-tinted wine, and stretched. He followed where his mother had just stepped and met her back outside, at the heavy doors, waiting for the princess with her.
"But mother, what if Jerome refuses?" he asked quietly, catching sight of horses in the distance. "What will happen to our lands?" Toren's eyes were genuinely concerned.
"He has to agree to this," he stated sadly. "Just like the human princess did. Surely he can if a female human can do the exact same thing, no?"

He was caught off guard as Lilth grabbed his arm. Though it was pleasent, ad his happiness yet again rose. He grinned. "That is probably the best thing I've got going for myself now." Jerome replied, starting to move to his room. He didn't mind if she held on, seeing as he was begining to just accept company. Though just before he turned to go back, he noticed the princess in the distance. He scowled and moved onward. "When we get to my room, my closet is yours to search."
He told Lilth, as they neared his bedroom. Jerome was still upset about Kara oh so close to the castle. He wondered what Toren and Margarette were up to. He sighed, decideing not to dwell on the thought. But he felt a type of pity for Lilith who would be giving a tour to the human girl and her small army of guards.

Lilith chuckled, and looked out the window. "Oh s**t... She's close." Her hand seemed to tighten on Jerome's arm, before she realised and let go. "Your mother will be out the front, so thats means i should too." Her voice was panicky, and she bit her lip, worried. "Jerome, i'm sorry, i've got to go. Hide out in the library or in that sheltered grove in the garden. I'm not taking her through them." She was reluctant to leave, she was enjoying spending time with the Prince. "There's a half hour gap between the end of the tour and dinner. How about we spend that time together. Finding an outfit for you." Lilith had to hurriedly add that last part on, or it sounded like she was implying something. Turning to hurry off, she stopped, and looked at the Prince again. "We'll all get through this, i hope." And giving him a soft pat on the arm, she lingered a second before running off towards the front of the castle. It didn't take Lilith long to reach the doors. They were held open by guards, like organised. She had thankfully had time to stop by her chambers to drop that dress off, and walked out looking presentable, her now long ebony hair shining in the fading light, her black day-cloak and strapless dress showing off her curves nicely. She walked up and stood next to the Queen, bowing her head respectfully. "I'm sorry i'm late Madame Margarette. Was just finishing up the final touches to make sure tonight was perfect." Her smile was flawless, and her blue eyes glistened. Thankfully, she'd come just as the Queen and Toren had finished their conversation. Looking past her Majesty, she bowed her head towards Toren. "Good evening Prince Toren, how are you tonight?" She was always polite, no matter the circumstances. Lilith wondered to herself if the Queen would notice her now longer hair, the wind gently blowing it.

Toren looked over at the slender young woman and raised an eyebrow. "Well, Lilith, you look like you've been running," he commented casually.
He curiously skimmed through her thoughts and could tell that she was upset about the princess and nervous.
"Oh, and your hair looks rather nice today," he added with a slight smile. He liked Lilith, actually. He had often enjoyed a long conversation with her in the past. Though lately he had little time to do anything other than listen to his brother's frustration and try to keep vampires from attacking each other in the towns.
"Had you forgotten that you were to guide the princess?" he asked, not wanting to intrude on her thoughts any more.

Sighing, Lilith gave a guilty chuckle. "No i hadn't, thankfully. I lost track of time. Prince Jerome was curious about tonight, so while i finished off the duties i had today, he followed." Taking a deep breath, she calmed herself, her former sparkle in her bright blue eyes returning. Feeling rude for talking past her Highness, she walked around to stand next to Toren. "It doesn't help when you're down the other end of the castle and you see the events unfolding out the window." And she laughed lightly. She had heard his comment about her hair, and she was a bit more bubbly again. Sighing, she let the feelings in the back of her mind overcome her for a moment. "We haven't spoken for a long time. We really should catch up. You should understand why i'm nervous today. At least, i hope you do." Her Romanian accent was thick with nerves, and sadness. All the memories of the past were coming back; all the things the humans did to her family clear in her mind. Forming a weak smile, Lilith resumed her position next to the Queen, and watched the party in front of them draw nearer.

Margarette listened to Toren and Lilith as they exchanged dialogue, looking out toward the distance, the princess was to be here soon. As Lilith returned to her side Margarette, without even looking at her she said, "You're nervous today? Hmmm." Margarette knew why, though she didn't say she did, but went on anyways, "So, you spoke to Jerome? What did you talk about?" As Lilith ran off, Tsuzuki remained at Jerome's side. He then asked quietly, and cautiously, "Would've been perfect if Lady Margarette asked you to marry another vampire, eh?" Tsuzuki was of course referring to Lilith, though he thought that this was way out of line, he was just so curious if he liked her. She made him smile so brightly, he just wished that they could be together, so he'd always smile like that.

Lilith looked to her Highness. "He was interested about what was going on today and asked questions about my trip to the human kingdom and what Kara was like. I couldn't completely answer because i've never met her myself. But i reassured him tonight would go well and not to worry." Her smile was true and charming, she really didn't want her Highness to worry. "Everything is as you planned Madame. I made sure of it." The charm and calm in her voice spoke the truth; she had done everything the Queen advised. She didn't want to upset her Majesty. Turning to the horizon, she watched the same sight as the other two. "Yes, i am nervous. Only because of my past. And i will be forever thankful for you. Without help, i would not be able to stand here so calm." And it was true. Lilith had spent months rehabilitating herself, spending time with even her Highness herself. But the old fear of what humans could do in groups still made her nervous. She was also wondering how Jerome was. Was he doing ok with Tsuzuki?

"So, he's interested in Kara?" Margarette asked, since she mentioned that he asked about her. That was good, if he didn't avoid the subject that meant he cared about it, somewhat. But, even hatred was a form of love, or at least it was said to be. When Lilith answered her about her nervousness, Margarette smiled, "I'm glad I have helped you so drastically." She then looked to Lilith, "You made sure of it? So you changed his mind about the priness then?" She was of course referring to everything going as planned, which Lilith had said she made sure of.

Sighing, Lilith bowed her head. "That, alas, is something which is out of my, or anyones, hands. Only the Prince can decide for himself." Her tone was one of defeat. She knew this meant the world to Margarette, so how could she tell her that the Prince was point-blank against the whole thing? "I'm sorry your Highness, but only time will tell now." The softness in her voice was one of sorrow. She really wanted everyone to be happy, having never had true happiness herself. Never being in this situation before, she was unsure. The whole concept of arranged marriages confused her. The melancholy in Lilith's voice was almost heartbreaking. She wanted her Highness to be happy, but at the same time she wanted Jerome to be happy too.

"Only the Prince you say? Well, one's mind can be changed by others you know? Perhaps the princess can change his mind, maybe I can, maybe you can, maybe Tsuzuki can, maybe his father could've," Margarette replied with a sigh, and then looked back towards the distance. "Don't be sorry. It's not your fault my child is so stubborn," Margarette told Lilith witha faint smile.

 Lilith chuckled. "Maybe. We'll just have to see." A warm breeze fluttered the ends of her hair, and the far off scent of the humans could be detected. She also could sense some other blood, nymph or something. The night was going to be warm, which was good. Although that also could mean a storm was brewing. {[Ew. Short post. Completely drew a blank >.< ]}

"Yes...We'll just have to see," Margarette said quietly under her breath as she gazed at the horizon. "You told him to dress porperly right?" Margarette asked Lilith, referring to Jerome when she said "him". "I mean, you let him know that we were going to have dinner, and that he can't come to dinner wearing old clothes, right?" Margarette asked. Even though she said everything was ready and was going well, she could never be too sure. Just in case she forgot, not that she was known to be forgetful, it was just in case.

Lilith giggled, slightly cheered up. "Yes Madame, i told him that it must be formal attire. Even his loyal guard Tsuzuki is going to be wearing a nice shirt as well." The fact that Margarette was making sure that everything was ok made her feel better. The princess was over the hill now, it wouldn't be long before she was here. "The kitchen staff are well informed of the food options, the dining hall is prepared and the princess's room is warm and ready. All thats left is the tour, and then the half-hour until dinner is served." Giving a little bow at her Highness, Lilith thought of something. "If your ladyship or his highness Toren would like to join the tour, you're more than welcome." A charming smile graced her face. Hopefully, one or both would come, this way any awkward pauses might not happen.

Margarette let out a sigh of relief and smiled at Lilith as she went over all of her tasks that she had completed. When she asked if her or Toren would like to join her on the tour Margarette paused and then suggested, "Maybe Jerome should join the tour. It would give him and the princess a little more time together." Margarette nodded, figuring that that was a good idea, but then thought a little deeper. "No, no. Nevermind. We should keep Jerome out of sight untill dinner. Then we can unveil him to the princess at dinner. It'll keep her interested and excited for dinner. Don't you think? She won't be able to wait. She might get a little anxious, but you know it'll give her a more dramatic reaction to the sight of him," Margarette went on, getting a little excited with her idea. She then calmed down and looked to Lilith, "You wouldn't mind keeping Jerome out of her sights until dinner would you?" ((I'm going to bed for now. RP with you tomorrow. smile ))

{[Sounds good! Hopefully by then others will reply xD Night! ]} Lilith nodded, smiling. "Not a problem your majesty. This way i can also make sure he is suitably dressed for tonight. I know her Highness has high expectations." With a grin, she looked to Toren. "Prince Toren? Would you like to join us?" She asked, her Romanian accent rather sweet, and rather pronounced with certain words. Her eyes were bright and her smile charming. She was secretly glad that the Queen asked her to keep Jerome out the way, this way she could let him know what the Princess was like. Her eyes remained on Toren, waiting for a reply, the sun beginning to cast a warm glow all around them.
