As Mia had caught up to Varnis on another ladder, he leaped up onto the roof. He quickly slashed at the guard that was in front of him as he had an opportunity. The other two guards had turned to see their comrade fall. One of them started to shout something as he reached for his sword as his shouts where cut short. The other guard was running away from Varnis but was going near the ladder that Mia was climbing.

Today there has been a small change in plans as to how the food was to be delivered. The guards stood at the entrance to the kitchen waiting for it to be cooked. There had been a few threats to the general from others, so they weren't taking chances.
((If you don't roleplay as the NPCs, I'll role play them for you. Just remember though, if its a named NPC, you cant roleplay as them.))

Sara moved down the hall and quickly materialized she grasped the vial in her hand and turned back to mist. ' I hope no one saw that.' She thought to herself, she would still kill the General regardless even if it was payed for with her life. It was a matter of her honor after all. She floated behind a guard and waited for the food to be hurried out.
((Yep, do what you will Varnis. and Ratchet easy doesn't always mean what the GM wants...))

Mia seeing that a guard was coming her way, to the top of the ladder, when realizing this Mia let go of the ladder, opened her wings, and took her sword from her back. She then flew to the top of the ladder, grabbed the guard by the shoulder, and before he could yell in horror she pulled him into her sword. After that Mia then landed as low as she, so she wouldn't be spotted. She then turned to Varnis seeing the look on his face made her realize what she had done. She then looked away and thought that he probably thought she was a monster. She then turned back and said, "sorry you had to see that, it was the only thing I could think of."

Varnis stared at Mia for a moment unsure of what he had just seen. He wasn't sure of what to think. "I'm just glad your on our side." was all he was able to say after a few moments. Looking over to where the General would be eating, he pulled out the bow and knelt down trying to keep out of sight waiting for the moment. "So... Who are you?"

The chief had finished the food and placed it on a plate, that was on the counter where the guards where standing then went off to finish the rest of the food for the rest of the troops. One of the guards tasted it before picking up the plate of food. There where three guards. One on both sides, about a food up ahead of the third one carrying the plate. All three where chatting as they had started to head towards the general was going to be eating.

As the guards began to walk Sara had a hard time gaining her focus. It was nerve wracking doing something she was still unsure she could do, and if she couldn't probally be killed. But her Drazuel pride made her try. With a small tendril of thought the hand with the vial materialized. It moved slowly down to the side of the man with the food. With it hard to do Sara barely managed to bring the hand up and start to pour the poison.

((I didn't say make it easy, I said make things easy on yourself and try the poison. Trying to make a post where your character is merely waiting is tedious at best. I figured a little action might help move the story along. Apologies if I offended anyone.))
Erik saw a few guards fall on the wall that Mia and Varnis were on, and Erik also saw a pair of wings. He would question the others later, but for now, Erik made his move. The guards were almost so focused on guarding from external threats that internal security was compromised. Erik slipped into the armory, and saw his own death sentence: A Brigadier! Something important is definitely in here. The Brigadier swung his mighty halberd, but Erik's strength lied in mobility. Erik ducked under the horizontal swing, and brought his sword swinging upward. The Brigadier smiled devilishly as the sword harmlessly glanced off his powerful armor. The Brigadier swung again, this time vertically, aiming for Erik's head. Caught off balance, Erik tried another ploy: Erik hooked his sword in a manner that caught the halberd in mid-swing. With a mighty heave, Erik wrenched the halberd out of the Brigadier's hands. Unable to defend himself, the Brigadier was easily dispatched as Erik sliced off the Brigadier's head. Stepping over the bloody body of the former Brigadier, Erik began his search of the armory. If a Brigadier was guarding this place, then that had to be here.

((Was waiting for the sweet Tigris to post but... Gotta move the Rp. Don't worry, you didn't offend anyone... I think...))
The guards didn't notice the poison being poured into the food, and continued walking. Getting to the food hall, they banged on a large metal door. Some exchange in words could be heard, even some shouting but the doors opened and let the three guards in. They placed the food on the table in front of the general. He began to eat as the three guards started to leave.

Sara flowed into the room and waited for the feeling of the General eating the food. She would wait until he died or the arrow was fired she decided, just in case. She could be angry later of the unhonorable way to fight the man.

Mia knelt down next to Varnis and she responded to his words, "I all ready told you my name is Mia, I came from the village in the high mountains, and I am part human and bird. The only way one person from my village can leave is if we pass a test of swordsmanship and our transform ability." She then turned where she could see the general below. "What I did there was an act of instink, I hope I didn't frighten you."

((Its no problem. Life comes first.))
"You didn't frighten me, just surprised me." He looked at the General who now finished eating. "So, you can fly? Whats it like?" He stood up as he saw the General now walking away seeming to be unaffected by the poison. Drawing the bow string back, he aimed the arrow at him. There where a few guards who where walking across a balcony who saw him stand up. They as well drew back their bow strings. Both, the guards and Varnis fired at the same time. The arrow that Varnis fired had hit the General in the back causing him to fall. A few of the arrows that the guards fired had missed Varnis, but two of them had hit. One in his arm, and another in his chest. "Gah!" He fell to the ground as the Guards where readying another attack as a few others where rushing them.
The guards that where with the general had ran over to him. "Sound the alarm!" one shouted out as a few ran out of the room to sound the alarm. The General was hurt badly, as well as the poison was working its way as well.

Mia was shocked on what just happened and reacted very quickly. She then saw the solders running at them, Mia stood up and the sight of her stopped the solders for a second. But, that only worked for a little bit, they then ran at her and Varnis. Mia then sprinted at them and clung swords with one of them. She then kicked that solder in the leg which put them off balance, giving Mia the chance to kill him. After that she turned to to other one and was about to attack him when she spotted the archers aiming for her. When the archers shot she grabbed one of the remaining solders, and put him in front of her. The arrows hit and killed him, after that she threw the dead solder into the third one. At that moment she knew they had to get out of there, so she put her sword on her back, and turned and ran to Varnis. " Varnis stay with me, I will get us out of here!" She then put his arm, that didn't get hit, under the belt on her back. " Varnis, try to hold on!" She then turned into her giant eagle form. Mia then jumped off the bridge and headed back to the village, but not without getting hit in the leg and almost getting hit in her wing. She shrieked in pain when she was hit, but continued flying. Mia then looked back at Varnis and yelled, "Varnis stay with me!"

Erik had found what he was looking for-a sword. Not just any sword, but an ancient relic of a bygone era-the only hope for the future. But this wasn't the only item on Erik's list. Three other items needed to be found. Looking around, Erik noticed some sort of chaos occurring. Things had gone according to plan for once. Either by the poison, or by Varnis's arrow. Erik quickly located where Varnis and Mia where, and headed off to meet them. Drawing both swords, he shouted to the guards: "Come and get me! Come and kill the one who killed the Emperor's son!"

As a couple guards left the room to sound the alarm Sara materialized by the door. The sudden intake of breath in the room, made her smile. "Oh i'm here to kill the General, are you going to try to stop me?" She asked and rushed at the nearest guard. He stabbed at her which she avoided with a roll to the right, another guard stabbed at her side now that she was close enough. She arced her body to the side and grabbed the mans wrist. She then pulled hard and the man fell hard and left his sword with Sara. The other man from before had turned and stabbed again right into Sara's side but she growled it away and slashed back.
The slash came in high to the right which the guard promptly deflected. Sara used the momentum of the parry to spin and stab behind her, right into the man's throat. He fell with a crash, and Sara moved next to the prone form of the General. She stabbed him in the throat as well and turned to the sound of the door opening. Two brigadiers walked in, and the alarm bells began to sound. Sara smiled at them and gave them a wave before Shifting to mist and escaping as fast as she could. She wanted to leave quickly because Erik had mentioned they were strong and may have had an element.

Varnis felt Mia as she picked him up and started to fly away from the encampment. His strength was getting weaker each minute as she had carried him away. His vision was starting to get dark, and the pain from the arrows was unbearable. Varnis' grip was loosening the longer Mia had carried him. Each minute that passed as she was flying, he kept loosing his grip as well as his grip on conscious. Mia's yelling was helping him stay conscious, but it wouldn't work forever.

Erik was no idiot, he had called to the guards to distract them from Mia and Varnis. But know that they were gone, Erik didn't need to stay. So Erik tried something a little foolish: He jumped off the fort wall. Erik hit the ground, rolled, and raced off, ignoring the pain of the fall. Many arrows were shot at him, but Erik managed to escape into the forest. Erik stopped for a while to catch his breath, hoping that Sara had made it out okay.
