Jade looked over at the now sleeping Adin, and in a soft sad whisper, she said, "Yeah, yeah, I can..." She looked back to Leah and decided to change the topic, "So, what was my cold-hearted father and homicidally manically insane brother holding you hostage for anyways?" Before she let Leah answer, she added, "He's dead by the way. My brother, not my father...the b*****d managed to slip away," she was careful not to add the part about, "Why" that was...

Jade knew what the necklace was, and why he wanted it. "Oh, uh, Adin stabbed him, through the heart," she added quickly with her eyes still on the necklace. She was relieved that Lythias didn't get it, for it would have secured his hold over her, casting the real her into a Shadow Realm where she would never return. It had many other powers, but whatever else it was useful for, Jade didn't know, and she did not want to find out. She broke her gaze on the necklace and managed to say, "I'm sorry to hear about your mother," for a moment, she thought of her own, and her two older sisters.

"Like mine, along with my sisters, except, everyone knew it, no one cared to do anything about it," Jade whispered softly, eyes to the ground, a bit, lost-looking.

"Adin!" Jade shouted as she noticed him stumble, as he left, she turned to Leah, "Excuse me, I need to go check on him," and with that, Jade ran outside and found him seated on a step. She let out a sigh of relief when she saw him there, for she was afraid that he was trying to go somewhere in his condition. She sat next to him, and placed her head on his shoulder, her fingers in his, and quietly asked, "Are you alright?"

She felt him nodding, but she didn't look at his face, so she didn't see his tears. Her fingers were still linked in his. In her thoughts, she thought of how vaguely familiar it felt. She smiled, because it felt comforting, it felt right. She turned to him, ready to say something, when she noticed he was crying. "Oh my god, what's wrong?" she said alarmed. She moved from sitting beside him to being in front of him holding his head in her hands, peering into his eyes with eyes of concern.

"Whether it matters to me or not, is not the issue Adin, and no, this isn't your fault. None of this is..." she replied quietly while lifting his head to look into his eyes. "No need to be sorry, no need for you to be anyhow." She paused before continuing, "I'm sorry for yelling at you, and for placing blame on you, and for, well, everything," she smiled at him now. Then she looked at the bruise on his head, she was unaware that she had done it, for when she's possessed, she cannot see or control her actions too well. "He hit you really hard there."

Jade laughed lightly, then said, "No one deserves a blow to the head." She smiled at him and then said, "C'mon, let's get you back to bed." She took his hands in hers and waited for him to stand. She stared in his eyes, with a warm smile on her face still, and couldn't help but feel as though they were becoming more and more familiar.
