I just realized, I've never posted in this thread. haha.
Anyways, my name is Cheyenne, I've been a Bowie fan since I was 4, ever since I first saw Labyrinth. I grew up with that movie, loving it, and wondering who the mysterious Jareth was in real life. So when i was eleven, i searched him up, realized he made tons of songs i was already familiar with and loved, I became hooked from that day on.
I can honestly say he's helped me through the bleakest times of my life<3
I live in Washington state, love to write, love animals.
I adore painting and drawing, I shall have to upload some of my Bowie art when I get a chance<3
That's all! Ask me if you want to know more! <3

Hello! ^_^ sorry about not doing this when i joined but i was kind of side-tracked lol whoops

I'd say im kind of a newbie fan, i dont know alot about David Bowie, but i did grow up listening to his music (lol and watching the labyrinth over and over again as a kid)

Im just getting back to listening to his songs, although it seems his albums are very limited in Australia....or maybe im just looking in the wrong places -_-

Anyway thanks for the invite in the first place, and ill try to be more active from now on

Hey Rina! No worries on not being active in the past, we're just happy to have you with us now! smile We have a whole SubForum dedicated to Bowie's projects, so perhaps you can learn a little bit more about him there? Or just ask one of us members and we'd be glad to chat with you about him!

Ask Jareth
So I think I joined this guild a long time ago, but I never actually checked it out until now. redface

Anyway, I'm obviously a David Bowie fan, although for me it's all about his music. My favorite album is probably Hunky Dory, but The Rise and Fall etc. is a close second. I'm mostly into his early albums up until Young Americans, which is where I start to lost interest. Not that he doesn't have some GREAT songs after that, because he totally does. The only albums I have after Young Americans are Low, Scary Monsters, and Heathen. Clearly my collection needs a little more filling out.

My name's Felicity, or Sieffre here on Gaia.
I've been into Bowie since April of last year. He was one of the first good artists that I became a fan of. Since then I've discovered so many great artists, but Bowie has remained my number one favourite simply because he has so many varieties of music. No matter what mood I'm in, I can find something of his to enjoy.
I've only seen three of the movies that he's been in - Labyrinth, The Man Who Fell to Earth and The Prestige. Labyrinth is my favourite, because of his pants. whee
Anyway, I'm looking forward to posting in the guild and getting to know all you crazy Bowie fans.

Hello! I'm Hannah. I'm sixteen. I'm an androgynous bisexual studying theatre, pantomime, and vocals.....but I've got tits, I'm American, and I wouldn't touch cocaine with a ten-foot pole. I'm kind of a health freak, and I'm involved with community theatre and circus arts (I do static trapeze, tumbling, and contortion, mainly). Mostly I write.

I first started listening to David Bowie when I was eleven, and a friend burned me a copy of Changesonebowie. I liked it, certainly, but that was about the time I a.) started using the internet and b.) started questioning my sexuality.... and I became afraid that listening to stuff like "Rebel Rebel" was going to make me queer. xp

I started listening to him again shortly after turning fifteen and was reminded how ******** amazing he was, but I didn't become a Bowieholic until this past summer when I started reading about his early life and roots as a mime. That made me squeal with uncharacteristic girlish delight, and since them I've been an unabashed Bowieholic.

.......I'm, uh, a bit long-winded, aren't I? Well there you go.

Why hello... my name is Bri and I'm 16 years old... I just want to say that David Bowie is my hero.... he's absolutely amazing... I love him like a turtle loves it's shell heart Hmmm.. so perhaps I should tell you a little bit about myself... well, one thing is that I'm not a conformist...and I don't give in to peer pressure of any kind... I'm not into drugs or alchohol... I was raised stright edge and plan to follow in the footsteps of my parents.... oh... and another thing...I'm anything but the type of person who hates the world... I love basically everone and everything in it... save for a few select items and people xp I'm not extremely talkative, but I can be if the conversaton is on a topic I'm interested in.... I'm very very clumsy... I can hardly even walk without tripping over my own feet... haha... i also love animals... i have six cats and an Italian greyhound named Dexter who I treat like a human child... anyway... I'm very glad to meet you all and to be a part of this guild! 4laugh

Hi there! My name is Kris or bluenovagirl on Gaia. I am new to the guilds, but was thrilled to see a Bowie cult here. I had to join! I've liked David Bowie since I was a kid and saw Labyrinth, and I have seen him twice in concert since then. heart

Hi, I'm GrowingDandelion, or Dandy. I've known about David Bowie ever since I've seen Labyrinth when I was a little kid (which shall always hold a special place in my heart, especialy since my parents' first date was to see it), but I wasn't really as into his work as I am now until I bought a CD of his greatest hits of the 80s album in Spetember of this year. I loved it, so I decided to write an essay about David Bowie for English class (which kind of snowballed, so I think there's something like 5-7 assignments that are either about him or have him in there somewhere, so I'm a huge buff), and when I got to the Ziggy Stardust era, my mind was seriously blown. I was seriously questioning the meaning of life the next day. It was probably the way that when everybody went left, he went right. And Ziggy was just so awesome anyway. I also like him because of his eyes, because they're freaky (in a good way) and he has crappy depth perception and everything has a brown tinge to it, and it kind of makes me feel better about my own screwed up eyes (lazy eye in my right eye, and a stigmatism in my left) and I like them now.
