As Kaisho moved out of the way of Foust's kick, Foust smiled. Kaisho was showing just why he was the vice captain, but Foust still had more to dish out. Foust's right foot came to the ground, and he turned his body to face the vice captain. When he turned, he noticed that Kaisho was attacking already. This was definately getting interesting for Foust.
As Kaisho approached with the sweeping chop, Foust leaped backwards a few feet. He landed on his left foot first, and then put his right foot shoulder length behind the left. After he chop, Kaisho came in with the thrust. Foust stepped to the right to dodge the attack in a hurry. Now Foust was on Kaisho's left. Foust took a step towards Kaisho with his left foot, turned it to point to his own left, andpicked up his right foot. He put his weight on his left foot again, like usual, because that was the better leg for balance. As his right knee came up, it came as high as his chest, and Foust slanted it to where the knee cap was pointing up and tothe left. Then, he swiftly extended it outward towards the vice captain with much force and power. Foust used his speed and skill, and continued this same attack three more times.
Foust was targeting Kaisho's ribs. Foust stayed on his left foot with perfect balance, as he performed each kick. With these kicks, Foust smiled like he always does. He was enjoying the fight, and was hoping to prove something to himself, and maybe others. That point was to show that even thouh he had a lowish rank, he could hold his own with the best of them.

Sadon was watching the fight and chewing on his apple when he seen Kuma looking over at him. Sadon had not met the newest member of the squad yet but had heard he had arrived some time ago. Watching as he made his way over to where Sadon was sitting he knew it was time to meet and feel out this fellow.
Sadon looked at the newbie without getting up and said, "Hello, my name is Sadon and I'm the 5th Seat of 7th Squad. Why not take a seat here next to me and let's have a little chat shall we?" Sadon watched as the man walked over to him. You could tell how a person could handle themselves by the way they carried themself while walking. It was something he had learned from his Tae-Kwon-Do master.

As he moved closer to Sadon he smiled and tipped his hat in greeting. "My name is Kuma Hageshii, currently unseated member of the 7th" His walk was tall with confidence yet laid back, keeping a steady pace with one hand holding his zanpakto by his side and the other flowing with his movement. Turning as he reached Sadon he sat beside him resting his zanpakto by his side. "Don't mind if I do" He said in responce to the offer of a chat. He quickly scanned over his fellow 7th member, he was impressed to have seen the vice captain and 9th seat already, but now the 5th seat aswell, this was an iteresting day indeed. "What brings you to this fight? If I may ask ofcourse" Kuma smirked to him playfully as he reached for his drink. "Whiskey my good man?" He asked as he gestured his bottle.

Sadon returns the nod and says, "No thank you, I do not drink. It clouds the mind and slows the bodies movement. As for the fight .... well I like to watch other squad members fight so I can study their movements and abilities. In the event that we should have to fight together against an enemy, I can counter and attack to match my fellow teammates moves."
Sadon takes another bite of his apple and watches the fight. Keeping his eyes fixed on the movements of his Vice Captain ....

Looking upon the dodging and inevitable counterattack, Kaisho prepared for it much easier now. His fourth attack had been replaced by a need to turn defensive, sensing himself on the back foot. Foust was bringing his knees up again, and as with the last time his did so, it was his right knee. As Foust kicked, he swung his right arm from right to left across his body, using his elbow and forearm to parry the blow whilst turning his body left slightly. However, with the first kick, Foust snapped his leg back and shot out again, forcing Kaisho to wsing his right arm upright to parry again. Despite this, Foust coiled and kicked out again, Kaisho making sure that his right arm was blocking the blow. As it struck Kaisho forearm, it sent a ripple of force through his body, causing him to move backward. Seeing Foust bring his knee back for the fourth time and realising he had to reacquire his equilibrium, Kaisho’s lofted left foot stamped down again and he made a quick backward step away from Foust. Before Foust’s last kick could connect, Kaisho has leapt backwards from him altogether.
As Kaisho landed, his stance swapped to stop him from falling over, planting his right foot perpendicular to his shoulder line and shuffling it through the grass until he found stability again. Kaisho took a rather neutral stance thereafter, rotating his right arm around twice and massaging the point of impact. “I have to say, to cope with your Vice Captain’s attacks and even hurt him in the process, it’s impressive.” Kaisho congratulated, thoroughly pleased with what he had seen so far. He was undecided on whether he should continue with sparring or not, his arm throbbed from the kick, yet he had a feeling he had not seen enough. He still felt as though Foust had more than just a side kick from all his Taekwondo training, but was probably due to what he wanted any of the people watching, or Foust himself to realise. As Kaisho stood neutrally before Foust, he spoke again. “Are you, by any chance, holding back on me?” He asked, quite guiltily.

After his attack, Foust brought his foot to the ground in fron of his left foot. His feet were shoulder length apart, his right foot in front point towards Kaisho, and the left pointing to Foust's left. He pulled his hands in about belt length, and had them open. While staying in this stance he started to laugh. This meant he was enjoying the fight.
Foust looked at Kaisho with a little smile," Yes sir, I am holding back a little. Still, this the most fun I had in a while. How is your arm Vice Captain Kaisho?" Foust knew he had to of caused some type of small damage, to Kaisho's arm after all those kicks. He wanted to make sure Kaisho was ok though. Foust stayed in his stance, ready waiting for Kaisho to answer. If Kaisho wanted to continue, then Foust would start going a little harder. He wasn't going to go all out on Kaisho, unless he had no choice.

Sadon laughs and takes another bite of his apple. Shaking his head from side to side he can't believe how these two are fighting each other. Keeping his thoughts to himself he looks over to Kuma and says, "Have you been sent out by Captain Bull-Sama in search of your martial art trainer yet? Because without the knowledge of a martial art in this squad, your a sitting duck for a butt kick'n. What I mean is ... look at these two. You wouldn't stand a chance against one of them without it unless you had your Shikai of course and even then it would still be a good fight. There is alot you must learn in a short period of time my new friend. Maybe you should get with Bull-Sama or the VC and see what they can do to get you up to speed. Remember, a squad is only as good as their weakest link."
Sadon took another bite of the apple and thought to himself that he hopes he hasn't offended the newbie with his statements. He truely wants to look out for the little fellow.

Watching over the fight he noticed that it was ready to shift up a gear, the two were on top of each with each attack, he couldn't help but admire their skill. He glanced over to Sadon as he spoke to him. Nodding in agreement he replied "Taichou will be training me in some martial arts to start with soon, hopefully I will begin to find a martial arts master soon after" He smiled to Sadon "Thanks for looking out for me though" He knew he had to get his training soon and he really wanted to train aswell, but he knew his taichou was busy and work around that the best he could. Taking another swig from his bottle he looked over at Sadon and asked him how his training in martial arts went before returning the bottle. Taking a slight sigh he looked deep into the sky before glancing back down to the fighters.

Sadon looks over to Kuma and says, "I went to Bull-Sama and told him I was interested in mastering Tae-Kwon-Do. He gave me his approval and sent me out on a mission to find a master of Tae-Kwon-Do. I packed my things and left 7th Squad to seek my master. When I found him he was expecting me. I stayed with him for almost a year before I came back to 7th Squad. That's why I haven't met you until now. I just got back not to long ago. Don't get me wrong, I am no master of my martial art ... yet. But I will be some day. It is my destiny and yours too if you stay in this squad. You should do some research and decide which martial art is going to be best for you. Then go see Bull-Sama and make it happen."
Getting to his feet, Sadon says "Well it was nice meeting you. I hope all goes your way." with a slight bow, Sadon walks off and down the path that leads out of the training area ....

"It's not too bad actually now." Kaisho said with a flick of his arm. The massaging had worked quite well on it, significantly dulling the pain after stimulating more cirlculation by taking this action. We would have also said that he had worse injuries from battle, but it sounded rather cliché, so he did not bother in the end. Kaisho readjusted his stance into a slightly wider foot placement, spreading his feet just over a shoulder length apart. He stood at a 35-degree angle to Foust, and kept his leading right hovering at waist height.
"If you've been holding back, you might want to get a little more serious right about now." Kaisho said with a cheeky grin, "I say that, because I think it is time for you to show your offence. I don't mean just using your right leg to do side kicks either, because that alone will never force my hand."
With that last sentence, Kaisho brought his left hand from behind his back and waved at Foust. It was the first action his left hand had performed in the last few minutes.

"Well if that is what you want sir. I won't go so easy anymore," Foust said with a laugh afterwards. He knew Kaisho would say something like that some time soon. Now that he wanted Foust to get a little more serious, things were going to get much more fun. Foust started to jump up and down without bending his knees as he said,"Let the fun begin."
Once he finished speaking, he ran towards Kaisho with immense speed. Arriving in front of Kaisho, Foust quickly stepped to his left(Kaisho's right) with his right foot. He leaned on the right foot, and brought his left leg up. Then, he extended his leg out all the way, and brought it up higher. Suddenly, Foust's kick went higher then Kaisho, passing over his head. This was actually, Foust's plan.
Bringing his left foot down, right next to his right, he bent his knees a little, turned his upper body to the left, and jumped upward. Spinning to the left further in midair, he brought his right foot upward at an angle fast. The target this time was Kaisho's face. Even if he blocked it, there would most likely be some pain to what he uses to blockThis was a particularly hard thin to do for some Taekwondo students, but Foust was using his feet in battle before he even learned the martial art. This gave him better experience with his feet in battle.

Kaisho prepared himself for an attack and sure enough he was not disappointed. Foust began to advance upon him before extending a left leg out to hit him, or so he thought. As Kaisho moved his body away from the attack, he noticed that it was higher than maybe it should have been, almost as if not aiming properly at all. The Foust’s leg came down and suddenly he leapt up again, trying a roundhouse kick with his right leg in mid-air, with a great degree of power with it too. Unfortunately, with such a flamboyant attempt, Kaisho duck his body as Foust rose, only having to lower his head to get himself completely away from harm. Kaisho let the momentum carry Foust’s leg and body around, until the moment presented itself that Foust’s back was open for attack.
“Such attacks are better done when the foe isn’t facing you, Foust.” Kaisho smirked, drilling his right arm forward. Much like the attacks before him, Kaisho delivered an explosive attack, though this time it was aimed at the small of Foust’s back. As skilled as Foust was in his art, however technically perfect it was, it was apparent that Foust lacked the same fighting experience and general perceptiveness that Kaisho had found on his journey to becoming the Vice Captain. At this point it seemed, the overall gap between himself and Foust was that of night and day.

Feeling Kaisho's hand digging into Foust's back stung, but it was barable. The force from the attack made Foust push forwards a bit. When this happened he started to fall, from being in mid air. As he did so, he eaned forwards, tucked his head down, and rolled. Successfully rolling onto the ground, he shout back up. This battle most definately wasn't over yet. Foust still had almost all his fight left in him, so there was no reason to stop now.
With a smirk and a giggle, Foust said,"Let's not stop the fun here." Once he was done talking, he used his fast speed to get near Kaisho. He ran at top speed towards Kaisho, and that was fast. Foust had to be one of the fastest shinigami when it came to real running. Arriving in front of Kaisho, Foust started a combo.
First, he planted his right foot infront of Kaisho, pointing at him. He then brought his right arm back, and then through it forward to Kaisho's chest with his fist clinched tight. Foust followed up, with his left foot. He brought his left knee up a little, and stretched it out for a front kick to Kaisho's chest or face, whatever he would hit first. Then, Foust would follow the front kick with an axe kick, by slamming his left foot, while in up still, down onto Kaisho.

The sound of combat is very distinctive, especially in martial arts; the heavy breathing and the bruising blows create a symphony in and of itself unique. Ever the man for admiring a tune, the newest member of Squad Seven was lured by the concert like a bear to honey. With his cork sandals landing lightly on the ground beneath his, the young man followed the sounds of sparring to Kaisho and Foust.
Kei drew up well short of the battling duo, not out of fear or surprise, but out of simple respect for the two combatants. The last thing anyone would want was for someone to interfere in the complex maneuverings, the trial of an individual struggling against a superior fighter or their own limitations. The skill that the two fighters displayed was great, the fluidity in which each fighter moved through their sets and reacted to the others demonstrated their level of training and dedication to their art.
The brunette felt a tug on his heartstrings as he watched the fight progress, memories of his life and what once was; buried deep in his psyche as was the case for most of the newly departed. Freud had argued that the mind repressed memories of trauma that the body was incapable of coping with; and what event would be more traumatizing than one's own death. Still, the body remembers what it once was and Kei was no exception; he saw the motions and his gut told him that he should know what followed next but his mind was ignorant and devoid of answer.
Such was his motivation to become a shinigami, to recapture his skills and knowledge; the athletic body and old scars were a frequent reminder that he had been a soldier at one point but in his new life the knowledge stood for very little. While he could remember the actions he had taken, the method and ability eluded him. The irony was biting and the fixation to reclaim that missing link had been a powerful motivator, as he now stood at the threshold of rediscovery.
That notion brought a smile to Kei's face, it would take time and hard work to obtain what he had lost, but the young man was not shy of putting forth everything he had to give. And watching Foust pour his skill into taking on their superior officer was a strong reminder that dedication was paramount in the Gotei Thirteen.
"And I'm ready to give it my all." Kei muttered his resolve to the open air as he crossed his arms across his chest and focused his eyes to observe and watch his squad mates in their practice duel.

Kuma had been sitting for sometime now without taking his eyes off the fighters, he had been silent as he was alone beneath the tree he and Sadon had been under some minutes ago, to any on lookers he would appear asleep as his hat laid low across his face, as always covering his eyes. His gaze broke if only for a second to acknowledge the arrival of a strange shinigami that he hadn't seen before, however he was still new blood and hadn't met all of his squad, just the most active of the members. He watched as the the stranger stood and watched, this was awkward to Kuma as he didn't know if he should go and introduce himself or not, as the shinigami did not show any particular characteristics in his stance. Suddenly he spotted the lips moving, mumbling to himself? He obviously had something on his mind, and Kuma would be simply letting himself down if he didn't atleast offer his help. "Fine, I guess I better stand before I fall asleep anyway" He laughed to himself as he got to his feet and sighed. Taking a sip from his bottle of whiskey he began to walk over to the stranger and replaced the bottle within his robes. He continued to glance over and couldn't help but be impressed by the talent of the fighters, it was expected of Kaisho, being vice captain and all, but Foust had some skill.
He had reached the stranger and noticed by the expression on his face he seemed slightly lost, this could have been due to a lack of experience with fighting - which Kuma doubted as he was at 7th squad training ground - but the main cause of this lost expression would simply be because he was fresh meat, a new member. Kuma smiled to himself, it was nice to see the new recruits looking so interested and willing to learn. Raising his hand to the rim of his hat he tilted it down slightly in a welcoming manner. "Hey, my name is Kuma Hageshii, unseated member of 7th and pleased to meet you" Smiling he removed his hand and lowered it by his side.
