There is room for improvement just as always, but for someone new to roleplaying you are very good. If I could suggest something without seeming rude however, I think you should try to work on descriptions. This will not only make your posts longer, but they will also give more depth to the situation and your character.

Better. And you should try to write in past tense. This doesn't really make you any better or worse, it's just a preference thing that I think you might like.

Surgery! What in the deuce are you talking about? -goes back to scour the posts- A freaking tumor? What the hell man are you alright? That sounds cool. I'd come join you but life has been... hectic... to say the least. Though I'm sure you know all about that don't you? lol. Well I hope you get better quick.
