Kiater suddenly opened his eyes, noiticing what he diden't noitice before the small girl on the verge of tears a few feet away from him. ~How could I miss such an obvious thing~, he thought. ~I'm cracking up, I'll wait till she's done praying, I hope she's all right~, he thought. ~You stupid jeark~, he told himself. Going back to prayer.

Tason stood before the staute of Martel, Pondering. He would like to be a healer, but the thought of being unable to help defend his beliefs...he wasn't sure if he could stand that...Not after what had happened. He felt it would be best, for now, to study white magic, both offensive and Healing. It wasn't as if a Healer could do anything a skilled White Wizard couldn't. "Thanks Martel." Tason said, and looked around the church.

After praying, Kiater opens his eyes looking at the few people who had came in. He grined for no appearent reason, got up, with a little trouble, and grabbed his cane. As he was about to leave he noiticed a girl in a corner who seemed to be crying. He limped over to her, "Are you okay", he asked quietly.

The two heavy doors swung inward slowly, their hinges creaky only as they reversed direction to close again. Between the doors had slipped a young woman with her brown hair tied up in a looping bun high on the back of her head. Her eyes were closed and her hands were pressed together in prayer before her face, causing her elbows to stick out in either direction. The foot falls of her laceless running shoes were near silent on the hardwood floor as she walked down the middle aisle of the church between the rows of pews toward the front.
The figure stopped once she'd reached the base of the statue of the grand angel. Her brown eyes flashed open, giving off a blue light at first, and then her head snapped back so that her face was upturned like the sculptures and then her arms shot up as well, reaching for the heavens. Once her arms were fully extended a tigress's roar resounded in each occupants' ears but never echoed once off the stone walls or the colorful windows. The woman smiled softly, evilly, as she closed her eyes again.
"Ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc, et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen." (Pray for us sinners, now, and in the hour of our death. Amen.)
Her voice was gentle like an angel's, with all the warmth of a mother's caress, and all the humility of being mortal. Her hands were still stretched to the sky but she turned her palms suddenly outward and two ice sicles shot up on either side of her, spearing up along her legs to hit the holsters about her thighs. The two pistols within were knocked spinning into the air to be quickly and fluidly grasped in the two waiting hands. As she felt the metal within her fingers the woman's head fell forward and the ice spires shattered to melt into the floor.
"Indeed... Amen... May my angels protect me."
She turned on her heel and began walking back down her path to the door, her arms slowly lowering as she moved to reinsert the two Sig Sauer P229s in their places against her legs. She'd just flipped the latches back over the handles when she grabbed hold of the door and threw then wide for her to exit, letting in a flood of light that enveloped her as she proceeded out.

Kiater looked surprised. Not knowing what he did. Taking a step back. "I-I'm sorry", he said calmly. What did I do, he thought, I should leave. "I'm sorry", he repeated. He bowed, and limped to the door. Thinking to be more careful. I suck, he thought, as he opened the door with one hand and limped out. His eyes ajusting to the light.

With a small push of the two large doors of the church, Aiko stepped inside, hoping to get a chance to breathe for a moment. Despite all the odd facts that there were more then just a few people there already. For a sancturary, it was fairly noisy inside. Aiko smiled, nonetheless, and bowed to the people she seemingly passed by.
Taking an open seat near the alter, Aiko closed her eyes and whispered to herself. Grant me the chance to become a stronger, more kind person... She began to pray. In a small sense, her had mixed feelings about her own thoughts, considering that it was her family that had reject her, not her parents exactly, but her relatives did.
Her attention was taking away from her prayers as she noticed just how many people were in the church today. It was a shame that they were being this loud, it was difficult for Aiko to concentrate. Taking a breath once more, she figured she'd let the noises go and continue where she had left off.
Father, I wish I could see you right now. I'm very glad that I'm here, but I'm sure Mother is getting bored. Heh, much like she always does. Aiko continued. The memories of her family were everything she had. Despite not having made a friend yet, the half-blood was confident that through the noisy church, someone was bound to say hello to her.

Lukan cracked the door of the church open and peaked inside then opened just enough to fit himself inside. Just to his luck it made a loud squeeking sound that echoed through the whole place. Lukan wasn't very religous at all, but for some reason he felt like he should be here. His beleifs went against the religous beleifs from what he knew, but that didn't stop him from coming, only made him more hisitent of coming is all. He sighed and looked from side to side as he made his way up the isel. He shivered once more feeling so small in the holly place.

As the door slipped shut behind Lukan another figure approached the opening and flung both doors wide. The panels hit the inner walls with a sickening snap that would lead the parishiners to believe the doors had in fact shattered into tiny pieces. By all laws of physics they should have, but this was a divine house, one of gods and angels, so the structure would never be damaged. This figure, though violent in entry, was no more than an average looking woman, brown hair pulled high on the back of her head, and plain white or brown clothes. She looked the part of a wanderer on pilgrimage, but pilgrims didn't wear guns about their thighs.
This lady strode up the main aisle after Lukan and reached to place her hand on his left shoulder, a peaceful gesture. She was simply going to introduce herself and see if she could get to know the man enough to easily extract information from him. There were several people in and about Ria Highschool that bounty-hunters would kill each other over, including fiends like Dante and Scytheress. If this creature had any information it would greatly increase this woman's chance at a large cash in.
"Hey there, I'm Mikaley. You don't seem all that comfortable in here. Can I perhaps ease your stress?"
Mikaley let her hand slip from Lukan's form as she passed by him toward the alter she had departed from only a few days before. She'd come here to invoke the blessings of her angels to aide her in her battles and to strengthen her own powers just to survive. Kaley stopped a few paces from the large angelic statue and turned back finally to Lukan and stretched out her hand.
"Do not be afraid."

Lukan felt even more acward from how Mikaley was acting towards him. No one had ever been... so up front towards him before. Not even Sereniti had in fact. "Uh... Sure..." He said uneasily as he took several steps closer to the statue and her with his tail swaying behind him and his ears pulled back. "I'm not really scared, just uncomfortable here is all." He said looking away at the wall. "I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Lukan..." He said turning back towards her and giving a slight bow to her.

Mikaley folded her outstretched hand across her stomach in a slight bow as the man introduced himself. She was quite pleased that Lukan was at least placing some trust in her, after all he freely gave up his name to the open air. A slight smile crossed the woman's face as she turned her back on him and raised her face to the tinted skylight above.
"What do you think of angels, my dear? Do you even believe in them? Do you fear them? Worship them?" She twisted her torso and bent back a bit more to be able to see Lukan out of the corner of her eye. "Or are they what your nightmares are made of?"
She realized what a disarming set of questions she proposed had been but it was a easy topic to break the ice within a church. No easier way to offend someone than by insulting their faith so it was best to get it out in the open now. Mikaley hoped her ideals were evident enough by her interest in the female angel before them. She turned her gaze back to the stone face with a slight jerk to motion Lukan up next to her.
