Well Regal, they're in Japan, and they're completely different people. The original Powerpuff Girls have a short cameo in one of the later episodes.
And they use weapons because they're in Japan. Though Buttercup threw a car at a guy once.
And no Alex, is no fake. Just... not entirely explained.
