Hahaha, alright you guys win. If it's the weather we're going to talk about then so be it.
It's been rather sunny here for the past week now that I come to think of it. And here my sister said it would always rain. Oh well, I think it's good that they're getting a change from the usual humdrum rain. But then again what can you expect for CA? xd

Hey, I'm just saying it's the backup topic. Leave us find something else to talk about.
Anyone able to find a coffee place that has a drink for less than $3 per cup? There's a coffee shop near my college that has a cafe au lait for less than $2 & I've grown quite fond of it, even though it's not as sweet as I usually like my coffee. I mean, it's just coffee with milk, according to taste & translation. Maybe I just like it because it's cheap?

I wouldn't know... I'm not big on coffee, even though most of my time outside of this guild I spend in a coffee shop on Gaia, that or my shop. xd *shrug* I prefere soda more than coffee... I've recently gotten off of my caffeine addiction. Which is good so all I drink now is caffeine free stuff. Like Sierra Mist, that stuff is pretty good. xD;; And here I thought I would never get off of tha liquid caffiene crack. xd

I can't get myself to like Sierra Mist. I am fond enough of caffeine free Mountain Dew to take that instead of regular Mountain Dew. But there are other tasty things that have caffeine, like chocolate.

Yeah I still get my caffeine intake through chocolate and whatnot. ^^; But not as much as when I would have caffeinated soda. Mountain Dew is like so sugary or whatever. xDDD;; I can't drink too much for that stuff at all.

Mountain Dew is crack for me. Though I should cut down. I'm not as addicted as I once was. I should start drinking orange juice again. I always tend to drink less Mountain Dew when I drink orange juice. Except when it comes to pizza. I have to drink soda with pizza because if I drink orange juice, I'll think about puke. There was an episode of that Melissa Joan Heart show "Clarissa Explains It All" where she said that puke always tastes like pizza & orange juice. xp

Man I remember that show, good times, good times I say. Though I'm not sure if I remember that episode. I have trouble remembering things though... xp Oh well. I wish things could be as good as they used to be... Now everything is all I wanna be a rock star and stupid crap on tv... xD And I'm just talking about Nickeloden and Cartoon Network in general.
And yeah I used to be hooked so badly on caffeine that I couldn't go two days without some soda otherwise I'd have bad withdrawls. sweatdrop Now I can go probably a whole month without soda completely I bet.

I don't think TV's gotten worse; it's just that we remember the good stuff. Once we get older, we'll remember the good shows from this time. Memory's cool like that.

Well it's a good thing that movies just seem to get better as time goes by... Instead of worse or whatever... sweatdrop And the good old movies stay good and old and dusty and..... Yeah.
I saw Memoirs of a Geisha tonight. XD *changes it before she internally combusts*

It's a really good movie. My girl friend keeps saying everyone only wants to see it because it deals with Japan and Japanese. She always goes on about how everyone is into Japan and Japanese and Anime now. I mean yeah I'm sure everyone can remember when you used to be called a geek for liking Anime or a traitor for liking Japanese culture or whatever. And in a way that was bad, (by being called a geek) but this way it's more common and you can find stuff easier now adays. But it is annoying because EVERYONE and their borther likes anime. And everyone is trying to be Japanese or asian now. Have you noticed?
Though I think she just has problems.... sweatdrop *squishes her* >w<

Well, I've always been interested in other cultures, but I've been interested in Japanese culture (thanks to anime getting me hooked) for quite a while. Like, since fifth grade. I've also been interested in other cultures lately, though. I took a course not too long ago on Contemporary Europe, which got me interested enough in British politics to see if Blair would win again. Of course, my favorite part of that course was getting to see a photo of the Beatles on the big screen. Personally, I'd like to know more about German culture since that's pretty much where my bloodline is from. Most of the course focused on Eastern Europe, particularly Russia pre & post WWII.

Yeah I know that ever since I was younger that I've loved different cultures. And I remember once when I was younger I would watch Nick@Nite all the time. And this one time on the "Lucy Desi Comedy Hour" and all that and they had this one where Ricky and Lucy where in Japan at a Geisha house and they wouldn't let Lucy in because it was only for men apparently. So Lucy snuck in and tried to do everything the Geisha did; I thought that was so funny. So I've been into this sort of stuff since like five-ish. sweatdrop
*is an old sitcom junkie* :B
I would like to learn different languages. Not only Japanese and sure anime is what made me want to learn Japanese more but now I have other things I want to learn as well. Like I've been thinking about Italian, it's a pretty language. >w<

I want to learn German & Japanese (for obvious reasons), but I don't know if I could learn all the languages I would want to learn. My philosophy is that I won't go into another country unless I learn the main language spoken in the area I plan to visit. I want to know enough so I can get by no matter what language I have to speak. As a result of budget & that philosophy, I've only been to the English-speaking part of Canada.
I was speaking to Dad on a subject similar to this. We were watching a program on the Sphinx & I said, "We should go see that sometime. It's the sort of thing everyone should see at least once in their lifetime." So far, the only wonder of the world I've seen is Niagra Falls during that same trip to Canada. It was beautiful. surprised The park where you can see the Falls best has a nifty statue of the first king of Canada (which I didn't before know they ever had) & a very pretty rose garden. To actually see the Falls, though, is amazing! They're so powerful. Sadly, we didn't have time to take a tour to see the Falls closer.

Ooooh the Sphix would be so awesome to see. That and Niagra Falls. I'd like to see so many things but I'm afraid I will never be able to go see any of them. ^^;; Then again there is always the future, depending on how that goes.
And that's a good philosophy which I think is only fair. We expect people to learn english when they come here so we should only return the small favor by doing the courteous thing and learn theirs.
