Umm... well, I'll be available for some of today... Let me just post my schedule to give you an idea...

9:00am-9:50am MWF
11:00am-11:50pm MWF
2:00pm-3:15pm MW
5:30pm-6:45pm MW
8:30pm-9:20pm M

Yes, all of my classes are on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. And today, we're having a mini DDR Club meeting, so I'll be gone around 4:30 or so before class for that. (need to reschedule stuff--meeting to discuss that) D&D will eventually get added back in somewhere, but for now, that's my schedule. If you want to do something after 7 GMT - 5, that'd be fine, or anytime tomorrow.

And about kill counts, etc.--if you want to be totally fair in it, just give people however much of the kill they actually did. (overkill being ignored) For example, if there is a foe with 5000 HP and one person does a total of 4000 HP to it, then someone else finishes it off with an attack doing 2000 HP, the first person gets 80% of it, and the second gets 20%, despite having dealt half as much damage as the first. And if someone helps in some way that doesn't deal damage, like somehow preventing attacks, disabling something, preventing an allied death, etc., an additional, though probably fairly minor, reward may be in order, if not directly from you guys running it, then from whoever's a** the person saved.

Or why not have like Attack Exp, Defence Exp., ect. Like if you consistantly take damage for an ally or defend you should gain exp from that (pehaps based on the amount of HP taken/conserved due to action) or attack would be how much HP damage you actually do. That way it makes fighting styles much more...skill based I supose?

Well, you can get EXP for damaging your opponent. I guess we can start counting every successful hit on your target as well. Of course, the EXP you get from that is so much miniscule compared to getting the finishing blow.

Okay, so.. now we're recording how many battles you have participated in, how many hits you get on an enemy, and how many finishing blows you've made. No leveling system yet though.

Also... I'd like Guilliam's feedback on Assist Attack and Assist Defend. In SRW, the one that's assisting doesn't even get anything for it, except to assist say a weaker person to get some easier EXP for them. But... that really wouldn't encourage you guys to help others, would it? o_o; I mean, this is supposed to be a RP, in a war situation right now. We should be helping each other to defeat the opponent, but some people might decide to hog the glory for selfish reasons such as a high record or something. o_O Yes, it does happen. So.. Just want some feedback on that.

I think it couldn't hurt to have available. I mean, if we suddenly have some incredibly tough opponent, I think we'll be wanting any sort of help we can get. I still like my idea of dividing up portions of a kill, (since hp amounts aren't always a good indicator--high hp, high defense on a really tough opponent would suddenly be less xp than one-shot killing a weak opponent) but if not, maybe split xp gained with an assist?

A unique system that I've just heard about from the game that I ordered a while ago. o_o

In most SRW games, when you make 50 finishing blows, you become an Ace Pilot. The effects of being an Ace Pilot varied from game to game though. One of the most common changes are that in the beginning of the battle, Ace Pilots start with 105 Morale instead of the usual 100.

Also, in Alpha 2, Ace Pilots also get 120% credits when taking out enemy units. However, in Original Generation 2, it seems like each pilot can unlock a unique factor such as Accuracy + 10%, Assist attack damage + 10%, etc. I'lll have to see what they have whenever I get the game. o_o

If Not HP, you could write an equation that takes all of the enemy's stats into account and calculates a numerical level which then could be used for exp...

PS Not sure if this is the thread you wanted Kaz, but both my parents will be out of town tonight and tommarow so I will be able to get on the computer anytime...if not the weekend is raelly the sure thing.

Okay, finally we've come upon an agreement with the majority of the people that will be taking place in the first half of the battle. The first half of the battle will be taking place this Friday. Please do not forget to get on on this day, as it has been a long wait to get this thing going already. @_@

I actually have a question. Like my character, I have no idea where to go to get my pilot's cert.

Is it a thread, or do I just show up on Vanguard where he needs to go?

I don't think there is really a certification you need to specifically get. I guess it's assumed that if you own a mech/fighter/whatever that you know how to pilot it without causing a disaster or something. Just talk to Locke about acquiring some vehicle in the RP, and you should be set.

IC, your character would have to get a license for pilotting mechs. The licenses are programmed into the Vanguardian Citizen Databases, which is just a very huge database that keeps a record of any major information about a citizen from their ID Card.

Also, just for more information based on these ID Cards, we have devices all over our colonies that detects the identifications of all life forms from the ID Cards. It is very well capable of detecting any life forms without an ID Card, and those people would often be escorted to the ID Registration Desk, if they are new aliens, settling on our colony.

Dealing with aliens can be a big hassle, since you don't know what to expect from them. So for this, the Security Service, or something like the Police of our colonies, are equipped with a portable form of the device as well, just like how police have computers in their police cars.

OoC, the only changes that are required are probably the ID Cards, which those updates are done free, since it is a change IC. Of course, while you're at it, you can update the other stuff on your card as well, if you want. As for ship / mech licensing, I'm not sure whether if Leowen is still up to making them, since it would be a seriously huge hassle making all of them. o_o; Anyway, as long as I know the stats for both the pilot and the ship / mech that he or she pilots, everything should be set OoC.

Well at the current rate of Mech's being purchased, I dont think it will be a problem. If buisness picks way up then we'll figure somthing out. So Yea, stop by Industrial Nexus to check out the options you have.

Think it's possible to make licenses for like.. maybe a little more than half of the units in the Mech Class that I posted in the Mech Battle System thread? o_o It's the last Java post.

LoL. Not sure if we have pictures for each one of them.. x_x Even if we did, it'd be hard to fit things in because of all the stats now.

It's a horribly long list..

Maybe I can scan one of my SRW guide book pages with the mechs, so you can try imitating it to save some space.

So where do I go for stat recording? Do I just PM you, Locke?

Or should I post it with this?
