(Yeah, pretty much, Rhys)
Ninian almost tripped out of shock when she heard Nils's voice. Forcing herself to stand straight, she hurried closer to him, reaching to gently stroke his face. She was relieved beyond words to see his eyes open, to see him (mostly) unharmed, to see him alive.
"Nils, Nils, it's alright," she told him soothingly. "It's alright. You're safe; that's all that matters. Don't apologize; there's no need." She smiled gently at him. "You're safe now."
And he was wrong--Nils wasn't weak. He was far stronger than she would ever be.
"We're going back to the manor now. Just rest, and don't worry. Everything's alright."

[Too lazy to switch accounts DX]
Siegell paused mid-stride to let the siblings have a tearful reunion, shifting Nils so they could be closer. He nodded quietly as Ninian explained what was going on, and walked with her, still carrying Nils until he got him to Shastah.
"Alright, Shas... I'm gonna strap Nils into the saddle, alright?" The silvery-white wyvern grunted distastefully, but Siegell laid a comforting hand on his flank after leaning Nils against the scales. They seemed to converse silently for a long moment before Shastah uttered a soft, compliant croon. Siegell carefully slid Nils into the saddle and strapped him in, since he was currently the unsteadiest of the three.
Siegell lifted Ninian up after him, hands on her hips as he lifted her up behind Shastah's neck to sit behind Nils, and then Siegell climbed up behind her and slipped his arms around her waist as he gripped Shastah's flank with his legs. "Alright," he called, and Shastah's wings unfurled.
Moments later, they cruised above the treetops toward Fefga's mansion.

Sue followed the group in silence. She wanted to say she was certain that Rei would live, but in truth, she really wasn't. She wanted to tell herself that everything would be fine... but then she might be lying.
Sacaen nomads can't lie. Instead, I just won't talk.
It was easier, much easier to stay silent. No wonder her father was a man of few words.
With a heavy heart and a burdened mind, Sue calmly lead Andre to follow the rest of her comrades, although in this silence, she truly felt alone.

Ninian kept her eyes on Nils even as Siegell set him on Shastah, strapping him on so he wouldn't fall in mid-flight. When the Wyvern Lord put his hands on Ninian's hips to lift her up, she instinctively placed her hands on his (though this was partially a dancer's habit) until she could get a good grip and climb onto the wyvern, setting herself behind her brother. Siegell expertly mounted himself, holding on with his knees and wrapping his arms around Ninian's waist. She clung to Nils, in part to keep herself from falling and in part to keep him from doing the same, despite the ropes holding him in place.
He was okay, she reminded herself. For that, she was relieved. Right now, she was happy, despite being hurt, despite knowing Nils was hurt. More than that, she felt safe. Why was that, she wondered.
"Alright," Siegell called to Shastah. The wyvern's wings spread out. A moment later, they were off.
Flying on a wyvern was a new experience, both shocking and exhilarating. Yes, Ninian had flow before--she was a dragon after all. This was different, riding on a creature that could fly instead of flying herself. Unused to the sensation, Ninian clung to Nils, trying not to squeeze so hard she hurt him. She placed a hand over Siegell's, as if to say, "Don't let go."

One's mind is a scary place. It contains untold treasures, boons to mankind. But, it also contains a darkness. Secrets, lies, grudges... about every negative thought and idea is in there, too. Through it all, the mind perseveres, hiding away the unnecessary thoughts, sometimes never to be brought up again. But, when it comes down to it, sometimes you have to face your demons head-on to banish them.==== A reconstruction, regardless of the required rest, was recklessly remade, the realm being revised to resemble a recent arena. The region remodeled itself in the guise of the gruesome locale where the lizard had darkened the Druid. Lying limply in the center of the constructed realm was Rei, rambunctious Druid, recovering from grievous gashes and debilitating damages. Swiftly standing, feet firmly on the fluctuating floor, the boy bewilderedly bumbled about before briskly recovering to a more capable condition. The floor began to bubble on the far end of the dome, the bubbles releasing a purple steam-like haze. As the haze began to condense, it took physical form: a darker, crueler version of the Druid. The eyes were a piercing crimson, the hair was flecked with blood. The robes, despite looking the exact same, were a midnight black as opposed to purple, and red instead of green. The skin: pale, like a corpse. The doppelganger had the visage of the Morphs of the last October, murderous aura and all. The figure reached a hand towards the boy, smiling a cruel smirk as darkness began to emanate from it.Come.Rei flinched, in awe at the doppelganger's appearance, cringing at the ethereal voice ringing in his ears. Putting his weight on his back leg, Rei pulled out the Erebus tome, prepared to use it at a moment's notice.
You should be dead. The doppelganger laughed, shaking its head. Clearly, words were unnecessary, as thoughts were conveyed automatically. As the creature cracked its neck, the hand began to glow, making dark fire leap from the walls towards the young Druid in the center.
I haven't killed you yet.Rei took a step back, calming his breath as the fire began pouring into the room. Mentally communicating with the tome, Rei closed his eyes, putting all of his energy into the spell.
Grant me protection from this foul disease...The ground shook, and another purple haze rose from the ground, taking shape around the boy. As it solidified, it turned into a large scorpion, tail pulsating with energy. As the fire began to leave the walls, the creature rushed over to Rei, covering him with it's body as the flames poured down. As the attack subsided, the scorpion stabbed its tail into the ground, injecting the arena with energy....and destroy my enemies. The clone went wide-eyed at the intervention, raising its hands to cast another spell. The floor began to shake as dark waves swept across the ground, going directly towards the Druid.
Not good enough. As the shockwaves began to sweep across the ground, the scorpion let out a deep roar as it dug its claws into the ground. When the claws fully submerged, the scorpion dissipated. The moment the shockwaves got within spitting distance, a wall of interlocking tendrils rocketed from the ground, stopping the shockwaves dead in their tracks.Don't underestimate me.The doppelganger smiled, pleased to get a challenge out of this. All he had to do was defeat the boy, and the body would be his forever. As more haze crept from the ground, the figure looked down, a cruel grin on its face. With a snap of the fingers, the haze surrounded and enveloped the figure, sickening crunches echoing through the air. As the haze grew bigger and bigger, the crunches became less frequent until...
The haze broke like a jar, dissipating into the air. The clone had transformed into a large, dark dragon, coiled like a snake on the floor. As the head rose into the air, glaring menacingly at Rei, the mouth opened. An orb of energy began to form in the mouth, followed by a dull roar that slowly got louder and louder.
Time to die.
The beam fired, taking the form of pitch-black hellfire streaming directly towards Rei.The boy stood, in awe, at the transformation, dumbstruck at the change. Snapping back to reality, Rei noticed the serpent preparing to attack. Without hesitation, Rei reached into his cloak, pulling out the Apocalypse tome.
You will not win.
Though he'd wanted to see dragons before he entered The Door those years ago, he'd gotten his fill of them from his friends. Determination flowed from his being, a tenacity that would not be quelled by anything short of death. But, as the attack started, Rei prepared to cast a spell as the fire grew ever closer. There's too much at stake.
A winged figure appeared in front of Rei, shield raised. As the fire connected with the shield, it became absorbed, the attack being nullified. The shield was lowered, showing an elegant man with long, red hair wearing a nobleman's suit. As the man looked up, he smirked, going into the sky above Rei.Rei looked up at the man as the spell was charging, an expectant smirk on his face as he pointed a hand at the dragon. A dark void opened up beneath the dragon, jets of energy shooting through the serpentine body.Zelos flew towards the dragon, stopping just short of the monster itself, as runic symbols appeared beneath him. As he pointed his rapier at the creature, holy energy began to erupt from the ground, alongside the darkness.I am the sword... and I am the shield.I am the darkness... and I am the light. There is no room for you here.Begone! The dragon screeched, slowly disintegrating from the joint attack. As it finally disappeared, Rei collapsed onto the ground, exhausted. Zelos landed gently next to the boy, looking down to make sure he was still alive. It's over. It's finally over.
