I never got to read The Giver, but To Kill a Mockingbird was awesome. Atticus Finch is a BAMF and the coolest dad ever, I SO AGREE AMELIA. Oh, and...Oscar Wilde's writing is really annoyingly complex in The Picture of Dorian Gray, but I wanna keep reading because it's good and I wish I could finish it (despite, once again, not-so-subtly gay subtext).
@Rathy: My friend keeps making jokes about Moby d**k. ("WHITE WHAAAAAAAAALE, HOLY GRAAAAAAAAAAIL!!!") Is it worth reading? .-.

Aren't they written by the same guy, though? Also...I wanna read Old Man and the Sea just to see how bad it is. XD
Also, BAMF is an abbreviation for badass mother...well, you can guess. 8D

I bet Ill read To Kill a Mockingbird sometime in Highschool, otherwise the only novel I've read in English class would be Rumblefish.

I still love the courtroom scene where he takes off his jacket and loosens his vest and takes off his pocketwatch. Scout and Jem are like "OH LORD IT'S LIKE SEEING HIM NAKED"
