"No one's supposed to open that door..." Sue muttered, unsettled by the thoughts of more deadlier creatures than the winter morphs creeping inside their home. "We're not even supposed to see it, or we'll be forced back..."
A thought came in the nomad's mind now. Was her father happier in Elibe? Was Shin really there... and not gone as she thought he was? Going through sounded so tempting, opening the Door sounded so great, until she realized she'd lose her current 'tribe'.

Amelia had slept in, having trouble falling asleep to begin with. Mel hadn't woken up once when she returned to the manor, and once she had finally gotten out of bed and gotten dressed, Mel was still out cold. Amelia had kept herself busy enough checking on a few things, namely the armory reserves and their food stock. That certainly wasn't enough to keep her occupied, though, so as she came down the steps to see how the others were doing, she found Prince Ephraim speaking with Isadora and Father Renault.
Amelia nodded to the three before moving over to the Father, putting a hand on his elbow. Considering that the man had adopted her (for all intents and purposes; Amelia still wasn't sure if any official paperwork had been completed), it was good to see that he was all right, too. "What have I missed?" she asked.

"Oh, good morning, Amelia." Renault's expression immediately brightened upon seeing his adopted daughter, and he shook his head. "You haven't missed very much; we're just discussing what might have happened, and what our next course of action should be. Nothing's been decided yet, though, so we've still got plenty of time." Except they might not; that was one point he would concede. If this woman had come out of the door, she likely was something brought on by that same dark god, which would mean that this was something specifically tailored to mess with their minds and then probably kill some of them. Loki seemed to be just as pleased with them out of this world as he was with them dead, though.

Amelia nodded once. She leaned against his arm, thinking to herself. One hand migrated to her chin, rubbing at a small bruise she'd given herself in her training the day before while she mulled things over. "Isadora said that Mel got attacked in the basement... who could have gotten into the house, though? None of us would have hurt her, especially not with us knowing what sort of strength she has. More importantly, how did they get in?"
[[I don't think anyone technically told me the attacker came in through The Door. xD]]

Ashnard burst through the door (yes, the door, not the wall. XD) with an angry look on his face. "It's ridiculous, it's preposterous, it's ludicrous, by Ashera it's impetuous!"

"All Nino mentioned was through the basement, that was it, no specific details" Ephraim added, turning to look around before facing the others. "Door, portal, gate, warp, whatever. We don't know for sure aside from the fact that that was their entrance"
(( Wow, I"m actually running on thin water here on rping XD ))

((Because we don't have any proof that said attacker DID come through. We're speculating.))
"Well, Isadora is saying that she might have come through the door. . ." Renault sighed and shook his head. "But I don't want to say that, because if we do, we have to admit that a certain person decided to show his face again, and that would be a lot worse than someone coming in and knocking Melethia out."
A moment later, he jumped slightly, turning to Ashnard with a puzzled look. "Uhh. . . what?"

"We're not sure how she got in, but your guess is as good as mine." Isadora answered. "Afterall, the only person who knows what's going on is Melethia. So it will be hard to tell if she remembers once she wakes up."
"Furthermore, Father Renault, I'm not saying that the woman came through the Door. But I suggest that she may have some plan with it in case."

Ed growled quietly but lowly. "No one should leave through that door."
She cast her eyes around the room, glancing past the king of Renais who also seemed to have just arrived. "Melethia wasn't badly hurt or anything, but I get a really bad feeling about this. Nino herself said there was a woman who might've hurt Mel, like Isadora said, and that the woman might have from from beyond The Door."
She crossed her arms once more, cocking her head toward Ashnard.
"Wonder when Mel'll wake up."

"A rumor has it that someone was attacked here and said criminal was not captured nor killed by any person who saw them," he said, still angry.

Amelia's eyes widened, arms wrapping around Father Renault's elbow without a sound. If the attack had come through The Door, and if that meant 'a certain person' showing his face again... well, not exactly a person, more a god. At least, that was what she assumed; what else could have spoken right into her head like that? Amelia still remembered the invasion in her thoughts, the booming warning right in her head, and she held back the shiver. She couldn't quite remember if she'd told Tibarn about that when she ran to his room, but for certain, no one else knew.
"I don't think barricading The Door would work to keep anything out..." she murmured once she'd gotten her composure back, standing up straight. She kept her arms around Father Renault's elbow; just a little more comforting that way. "In any case, first things first. If Melethia wakes up, we can ask her about who attacked her. I'm sure she saw something."

"Well, Ashnard, the only conscious person who saw them was Nino. Now, I don't think you're going to say that to her, are you?" the bishop asked wryly. "But, in any case," he said, turning back to the others. "We can't do much until we know who we're pitted against this time, and that won't happen until either Melethia wakes up and tells us, or she attacks one of us. The first would be prefereable, but I have the feeling that given our usual luck, someone will be attacked within an hour or so." He brought one hand up to lay over Amelia's and smiled at the girl. Even if she was a knight, she wasn't very experienced yet; and magic wasn't good for her. So he'd help her out all he could.

Ninian slowly entered FEFGA's house, still not entirely awake. She hadn't been sleeping well since Christmas, and if she was really honest, she hadn't had a good nights sleep since Halloween, and even before that. She'd come with the intent to hole herself up in the basement, staring at the Door with the excuse of 'guarding it,' as had been her habit for some time now.
To her surprise, several people had gathered here today. Most looked tired, a few worried, and almost all cautious. She knew most of them, but didn't really feel comfortable with most, especially starting a conversation. Quietly, she moved to stand in a corner, listening.

Aran had picked up the latest details on what was going on.. Well, not all the details but some. He knew Mel had been attacked and injured and that trouble was brewing.. again.
--------
The next morning, Aran didn't sleep in and came downstairs quite early. Even though there were already plenty of people, including Renault, Ashnard, Ninian and a man with blue hair that looked new. "Good morning everyone, any news on what's happened so far?" He addressed them, and if there was a threat, he'd have to warn the other soldiers about it.

Although it was early morning, Rhys had left for Eyris shortly after sunrise. He was still pleasantly oblivious to the news of Melethia--as one of the better healers in the area, his services were often in demand. As such, he'd been out late last night, and would be needed again early in the morning.
He wiped the sweat off his brow as he walked into town, wishing that fellow holy men and women about town would get off their proverbial high horses and rely on other medical means BESIDES healing staves. Staves were useful for healing wounds, NOT illnesses. Time and time again, he found he had to lecture one of his fellow priests for failing to procure ingredients for various herbal medicines. By now, he was progressing on to staff bonks on the head--very progressive, indeed. Honestly! Just because you prance about praising the goddesses doesn't mean you have to keep your robes clean all the time!
He coughed, feeling fatigued. He didn't believe he'd be out for too long, at least.
