Xeen shot the farmer a filthy look, grabbed his hand, and, with the usual feeling of the world around them forcing them through a hole, they were at the mouth of the cave.
"Guide me if you value your daughter's life!"

The farmer was pale, but pushed into the cave, instructing Xeen to follow.

Up ahead the pharmacist ran into a few others shadowed, and hiding inside the tunnels. Every so often a droning sound ran by as the droid they'd been running from moved down one room and into the next, the walls amplifying the sound. One of the refugees put a finger up to her mouth to shush the pharmacist, holding her breath as the droning noise passed close by.

If the pharmacist had had any idea who he now shared the rescue effort with, or who sort of person Xeen was, he would have been infinitely relieved to know that he was a lot deeper in the caves already and would likely not have to deal with that problem until later.

If he lived that long.

He ran through several sets of caves and got turned around more than once before he reached the one with the droid. ((I assume he finds carnage?))

Let's just say that the pharmacist wasn't the brightest bulb on the planet. For a moment, he spared a worry for the few folks he had left behind to hide elsewhere, but most of his attention was focused on the thing in front of him and wondering why on Jishara he'd thought it would be a good idea to get behind it.

It was a standard enough battle-droid, not a fancified creation of the hunters. The side of its domed head was dented, a few sparks shooting out occasionally, though it was functioning enough to take aim and shoot at the pharmacist.

The pharmacist had no powers, implants, or special training, and he was far too tired from all this running around to think fast. Poor guy died, but at least it was quick.

((My apologies to Jon.))

((That was abrupt and sudden.))

Xeen followed the sound of the gunfire, raising the Aura around him. The energy sphere was a dead giveaway of their location, but, he was nigh unkillable.

((Death tends to be. Rare is he who dies in his sleep.))

Miles away, another light brightened and went out on a holographic map of Jishara. A lot of lights were going out, sometimes a whole group at once. The leader of the other ACO cell on the planet stared at the map unblinkingly, hoping, somehow, that his homeworld would pull through with a hidden and til-now-forgotten weapon. It was only a tiny hope, alas. His own pet project when he first joined had been scouring the globe for "stuff of interest" like that, and in the end, he had never found anything useful...

He hoped anyway, because his people were dying. Because he was watching them all wink out, dead, and there was nothing he could do about it.

The farmer followed with, but let out a strangled noise as he came on the body of his son. He paused, unable to move forward. "Go," He said to Xeen, "If they aren't dead, they have fled into the tunnels. I wouldn't be able to find them any easier than yourself."

The broken droid shot a few more times into the pharmacist's body, the little sensory for reading life-signs entirely malfunctioning. After a moment though it began to move on, buzzing down a new tunnel.

Xeen nodded, and closed his eyes, covering the farmer.
"THis will keep you safe. YEll if I am needed." He replied, and made his way through the tunnels, the KillBot's noise giving him a good idea of where to head, next.

Further into the tunnels Toli was huddled into a corner with two other children from the group. They'd been separated from the adults during the panic, and hid in one of the thinner tunnels. One of the walls had a small pattern of holes, where the children could watch what was coming and what was passing by. All three of them stayed as quiet as possible, though occasionally their would be a scratching sound as one of their movements scraped against the stone floor, or a soft whimper from Toli as shadows bounced around on the walls.

Xeen searched, examining each area his Aura illuminated, hunting for Toli.

A few tunnels down, Xeen caught sight of three auras, one of which held a pale glow. The three were young, one the approximately correct age, though there was no other clear sign of being Toli or not.

((The glow he was searching with was the one cast by his own, he can't read theirs.))

Xeen found the array of holes, kneelin down in front of them. Using a small ammount of energy, he burned away the opening.

((Oh, yeah, that would be me kind of spacing.))

Behind the holes were the three children. They shrank back a bit, unsure if this strange looking man was friend or foe. "Who are you?" The older one asked.
