Spirits within was really good and advent Children I find it amazing they land on their feet all the time yet are still afraid to fall of a small building. xd

Honestly, now that I have teh hawtness that is AC, I probably don't need Spirits Within anymore. Really I just loved it for its images... Actually, I take that back, I still need it. Its too beautiful not to watch occasionally. And I watch waaaaay too much anime to get caught up on the mental logic functions of characters or physics. Suspended disbelief is my bread and butter.

having one of my better birthdays, treated myself to a mic so I could create a Skype account and voice male GaiaCast ^_^

Time will only tell if I like it or not.

Time will only tell if I like it or not. I do pay them. But as far as i know nobody else involved with GaiaCast does. I bought Skype-In specifically for GaiaCast. This is why we have a real telephone number and voicemail. I've also spent money licensing the software to record skype calls... and of course buying a headset. As for basic usage, tho, its perfectly free - as any of my panelists or people who've called in can tell you. I highly reccomend it. Comes with a spiffing chat feature as well... as long as you ignore the abominable emoticons.

i wanted to add, as well, that I'm thinking about doing "Town Halls" of sorts via the Skype Chat feature (text). We can have as many as 50 people in a chat at a time on Skype, so there is a lot of possibility there for direct live community interaction.

Well, the pay service is definitely not worth it for everyone. And Skype acknowledges that it is not designed to replace a home telephone (you can't call Emergency #s, for example)... But I've used it to talk with my sister who lives in Mongolia as well... Damned useful when you consider the telephony infrastructure of that country (normal phones suck) and the fact that using skype for THAT is free (I don't have premium services enabled on my personal account).

The only problem I have with skype is the ringing makes me go "EEP!!" That's why I asked that if people call me text first. I tend to leave things open. XD
*Short attention spans about* Though I agree with Caedian skype is fun. ninja And that more people should download it and bother me.
edit: o.o;; right after I posted this some random person added me... T___T A not very cool person. *Hides under rock.*
