Arch the Angel "To those who fell, and to the revenge on those who did the deed." Jarred sat next to Syx, ordering a scotch. "I just got the news. Seems the good and bad come hand in hand." "Aye, that it does," Syx said, requesting a refill of her own drink from the bartender. "I'm just glad Tu was off the planet when it got bombarded. Still, lot of lives would have been saved if Earth had decided to go into the war earlier...but I suppose we'll have to settle with vengeance. Not the best choice, but as long as the Kore is stopped." "How'd your victory speech fare?"

Jarred shrugged sipping his drink. "It fared. Mine was more a formality, a way of saying thanks to me. Dunham's was broadcast around though. It was good."

"He usually is rather good with his speeches, passionate and such." Syx gave a half smile, "glad to hear you didn't turn green or choke up on stage. So what next, Shanra? Going to stick around to make sure the war goes down just right?"

"I haven't settled on too much yet, I didn't honestly believe the Kore would carry through with their threats, no one did." Jarred raised his drink as his image appeared on the TV, downing it and ordering a second. "But it's good they did. Osis may not have been enough to motivate the people needed motivating."

Syx chuckled as Jarred showed up on the screen. "I have to admit it was an awfully stupid move, like they want chaos or something."
Syx looked at her drink, giving the glass a slight nudge with her finger as she debated on getting another. She set her hand back on the counter, deciding against. "I've been planning for afterwords, and considered heading out to some of the rougher areas of space, seeing places I haven't seen before and such...and possibly going into bounty hunting. Though with Thesys blown, it doesn't seem like there will be many bounties left to pick up." She pouted slightly, but the expression was quick to disappear.

Eric stepped into the bar, running his hand through his still-undone braids, quickly making his way to Jarred.
"Dude, we need to talk..." He turned to Syx, "Sorry for interrupting."

Hattie followed after Eric, not really speaking. When they reached Syx and Jarred, she quickly set the Comm on the counter in front of Jarred.
"Uh, that's for you... Watch it later..." She fumbled out quietly.

Syx gave Eric a smile, "not interrupting much of anything, short stuff, carry on."
Svarlena walked in behind Hattie, her hair still up in the Eccacian braids, and slightly pulled back, similar to the style that Pen always used. She stood behind the others, though observed Jarred closely. She'd seen pictures of Shanra before, be it in the Kore database or in stupid celebrity-stalking mags left out on the table in the med bay, but pictures rarely said much about a person.

"Hey Eric, pull up a chair, drinks are on me." Jarred spun around in his stool, raising an eye at Svarlena. He looked over her for a moment. "So you'd be Pen's sister then, right? Pleasure, names Jarred." He extended a hand. "So where is Gautrine? She too stubborn to take a break?"

There's a long story, with a lot to it."

Hattie moved away from Eric and Jarred. She gave a small wave to Syx and moved to sit at her other side at the bar. She declined any drinks, feeling that she might be sick if anything touched her stomach.

((Um, one of her good friends just died, almost her husband and now they have to deliver bad news to the lover of said dead friend. My bad. She should be jumping the rafters with excitement. rolleyes Grief makes people sick. >.< And Hattie can't have kids anymore. >.<
And I'd be more than happy for you to eat me. ~.^ ))

Jarred's face was confused. "You mean she got stuck on a transport, or... You don't mean she's left somewhere." His paused, his shoulders slouching. He drained his drink, placing a bill on the bar automatically. He stood up. "I..I've gotta go.."
