It all happened too fast for the guards to even realize. The girl had appeared in front of the guard to her right and had driven him thirty feet into the air with an unknown number of punches, driving him into the sky breathless. The second guard was still too stunned to act, and stared as she drove his long-time partner flying helplessly into the air.

Fools. Arin leaped faster than their eyes could follow, flashing into existence above Guard #1's breathless and useless body, spinning and driving a fist at his spine, which she would then continue to turn, and drive the heel of her boot into it soon after, to send him hurtling towards the road. She was moving so quickly that she would have amazed even herself, had she been in the mood for such trifling things as emotion. She had become so angry that she had shut down. Disassociated. She was now a thoughtless, emotionless killing machine, and would remain as such until she had recovered Aki. And there was only one person to get to for that.... Tatoma.

Arin's heel drove the poor creature plummeting toward the earth, crashing into the street and leaving a crater twice as wide as itself in the stone. He lay there, spread-eagle on his back, driven into the ground and unable to move for want of air, unable to think for the pain. He could only stare up as the suspended saiyan remained hanging in the air above him... And began to come crashing back down. She fell in the most regal position. She dropped like a stone, her feet together, her arms crossed behind her back.

The entire time, she didn't look at either of the guards. She stared blankly at the door, all the time focused wholly on her goal. There would be no compromises. There would be no distractions. She was going to raze this mansion to the ground until she found what she wanted.

Arin was just dimly aware that the guard's face beneath her feet had turned to liquid beneath the soles of her boots. The guard's lower body and legs had lifted from the impact, and the crater had been widened. She just stared at the door. Until she turned her eyes ever so slightly, locking them with Guard 2's eyes. She balled up her fist, and watched as he sprinted inside, doubtlessly to warn Tatoma and what was left of his pitiful family. She would not suffer these fools to live any longer. She began to pace forward, into the building, the door left open in #2's hasty retreat. She absently stepped over the threshold, her eyes forward as she numbly felt herself surrounded by six soldiers, if you can call them that, with #2 making the seventh, directly in front of her. It seems he was going to let them fight her for him. They didn't look like much, but she didn't have a scouter, so she couldn't be sure. Although it seemed like what she would do. Pretty strong perimeter, fill the interior to the brim with mediocre soldiers, just in case the perimeter is breached, and then surround yourself with your strongest soldiers, in case all of that fails you.

This, however, was getting irritating. Arin wasn't insulted; She was annoyed. Here people were, throwing their lives away for Tatoma. When they could be throwing their lives away for her. For all she knew, she could be throwing her life away right now. But there was a long way to go before that happened. Especially if these were what she was facing. She waited for them to make their move. And move they did. They all began charging up simultaneously, forming balls of ki between their hands. Arin waited. She would need to be very careful to pull of what she was about to attempt. She was actually lucid for the moment. She was looking forward to this. She crouched down low and waited for the inevitable blast.

Technique Name: Flight (A)
Description of Jutsu: The user has learned to fly, specializing in high-speed movement in straight lines with tons of follow-through.
Rank: E

Requirements: Ki control 1
Training: 2 days (or 1, if you already know how to fly.)
Special: The first day of training is simply learning to fly. The second day is the drills with the style.

you travel at a speed of 1d20 + 1/2 ki mod miles per hour.

Technique Name: Power-up
Description of Jutsu: This technique is the ability to bring the vast stores of ki that are held in your body's reserves to the surface (and often, beyond the surface, resulting in an aura of ki around the user.)
Rank: E
Cp Cost: N/A (see ki in [What is D20? Our system thread -> abilities] for exception)
Damage: 1 hp to inanimate objects per 2 kp over resting rate, at a radius of [ki mod] feet around the user.
Requirements: ki control 1
Training: 1 day
Special: This technique allows the user to pull their inactive ki to the active state at a rate of [ki mod + ki control] per turn.

An aura will develop around the user if they surpass their resting ki rate. Auras can displace solid matter, so it's a good idea to think through it before powering up to full strength in the middle of a flimsy building. (just a suggestion.) Ki causes damage to inanimate objects (that the user is not protecting or keeping out of this effect) at a rate of 1 hp damage per 2 kp over resting rate. Just how it happens depends on personal preference. This damage has a radius of [ki mod] feet around the user. It does not harm people.

Technique Name: Ki shot
Description of Jutsu: allows the user to form a ball of their ki that can be thrown/shot at their opponent. This is one of the most basic forms of attacking with ki, as it only requires a loosely-formed ball/beam/arrow/projectile (depending on your specialty/preference) of energy and the ability to move your arm (or not, as it were)

Kp Cost: 2 per shot (can fire two per combat turn)
Damage: 1-5 + ki mod. + 1 per ten in ki control
Requirements: ki control 10
Training: 1 day
Special:

the attack roll is base attack bonus + ki mod. + 1 per ten in ki control

Technique Name: Ki blast
Description of Jutsu: This technique seems to be fairly common, (and fairly obsolete) throughout the universe. It focuses generic chakra and fires a blast (can be a cone, ball, beam, whatever,) of non-sustained chakra to do a little damage to whatever it happens to hit.

Damage: 10-30 + ki mod. + 1 per ten in ki control

Technique Name: Sustained Ki blast
Description of Jutsu: This is another fairly common technique. It involves the user firing a continuous stream of ki at their opponents. Unlike a non-sustained attack, this attack can be used to continuously damage an enemy if you can hit them.

Arin saw the world slow down, as did everyone watching. That blast would vaporize any lesser being. But Arin was no lesser being. She opened her eyes just as the men flashed their hands forward, to blast those deadly lights toward her, an all-encompassing wheel of death, each beam a spoke, with herself at the axle. Extending her hands, she seemed to channel the soul of a tai chi master. She spun gradually, by the speed the world was moving, and she caught one of the blasts on the blade of her palm, driving it toward another, catching that one as the two energies meshed into a single being on her arm. This mystifying spin continued, catching the third blast, the fourth... All in turn were joined into one ball of energy until she had returned to her original position, and the meaning of the hand that had been extended palm up to guard 2 finally became clear. The stance was exactly identical, but the guards all wore shocked expressions, and the massive ball of energy flew directly at #2, who gaped in wide-eyed horror before being consumed by a sun-bright explosion that rocked the entire structure.

Arin didn't allow the fool time to recuperate. She darted forward, raising a fist and aiming a finishing punch to #2's face.

Arin watched the guard fly from her knuckles, crashing through the far wall. Before even a second had passed, she was back in the fight, crashing her fists toward the stomachs of two of the guards, aiming to put them out of their collective miseries. She had already infiltrated his home, and was working on his security force. There was little more left to do save destroy Tatoma himself. And Arin would. This lavish building would be torn to pieces in her search for Aki. She wasn't going to allow this to continue. He had Aki... Arin would not tolerate this. She awaited the gratifying crunch of bone and flesh.

Arin drove her fists into two of the guards' stomachs, feeling two fists coming down from above her, she stepped forward, dodging both, a foot coming at a sweep below her. She jumped up, twisting over another punch, landing behind Six, with Seven aiming a high kick, Eight aiming a low. Arin lay down in mid-air, dodging both of the attacks simultaneously. Not a single hair on her was touched. She aimed a full-strength punch at Eight's knee, and she would use the momentum to roll over her shoulder and spring to her feet toward Five

Arin's fist hit Eight's knee with such ferocious and astounding intensity that the shattering of his entire leg filled the high-ceilinged room with the echoing decibel level of a small bomb. The entire leg turned to mush as the bones turned to dust, the leg ripping open in places as the bones exploded. She would aim a kick at Eight's head as she propelled herself away from his now-forgotten punch. Her momentum carried her under two punches and over and around several kicks. She was a flashing blur of black, appearing only long enough to deliver a terrifying blow and then disappearing again. She was a destructive force... Unstoppable. The guards had no idea what they should do, but with #2 gone, they didn't have the intelligence to figure out what they were going to do as an alternative to dying... They would continue to fight... Arin would allow her momentum to carry her to #3, where she would deliver a hammer-fisted blow to the back of his head after she ducked his punch.

One of them had finally landed an attack on Arin. Eight was dead, courtesy of Arin's boot in his face. Three now had a legitimate headache, courtesy of Arin's knuckles in the area of his brain stem. But as she drove her fist into him, one of the punks caught her with a lucky shot, catching her cheek. She let the attack meet, and for an instant, her resolute body stopped the mid-air assailant cold. She didn't move in the least, and he was frozen by the equal and opposite force. Arin smiled, raising a fist and driving it toward Four's face, taking advantage of its motionless position just over a foot from her own face.
