"True." Replied Alek with a laugh before slowly rising from his bed. His tail swished mischievously behind him as he moved towards Ashierra. Acting as if he was looking over at the cave again, the fiery cattaur finally moved to gaze directly at Ashierra. His eyes sparked and he smirked as he finally stated, "So this wouldn't matter if you were just for females." His breath brushed playfully against her ear before he leaned in and caught her lips with his for a quick kiss.

Ashierra had only enough time to twitch her ears before the kiss came. Her chest filled with air even as the surrounding muscles clenched, a warm shiver sped up her spine, heat flooded her cheeks and the hairs on the back of her neck stood. "No," she said breathlessly, clearing her throat in an attempt to sound stronger than her weakened voice was betraying. "No matter at all..."

"Really?" Alek blinked in faked amazement as he leaned in again, this time studying Ashierra's face. His hand gently cupped her cheek and he tilted her face upwards, "I swear that your blushing. Unless!" He released his hold on her face so he could carefully grab her shoulders, "Are you sick now? Don't wilt on me, flower!"
A soft laugh mixed with a purr before Alek finally moved again, "They always say that medicine can be like this." Another kiss this one threatening to go deeper than the first before the playful cattaur moved back from Ashierra, "Any better, Ashy?"

Breath coming short, Ashierra leaned her face against his hand. "I never blush..." She whispered, closing her eyes against the need to reach for Alek. Her tongue fought against her teeth to break the lip barrier and to taste the male. A roll of flame shimmied along her catlike back, swirling around her tail. "I think it made it worse..." She breathed, hands clenched at her sides. An unwitting purr rumbled in her chest, making her blush even more.

A soft chuckle full of amusement at her denial, before Alek tilted his head. "So I made it worse, hmm?" He replied with a small sigh. "Figures, that they told me wrong." The cattaur rubbed his fingers over Ashierra's cheek in a small caress before he pushed against the ground and stood.
"My heat probably isn't helping then, is it?" He mused softly as he slowly walked back towards the tunnel. A last intense gaze to burn into Ashierra's before he walked from her sight. "I'm going to look around more, no worries!" He finally called after a moment's silence. Then he was outside breathing in the crisp air of dusk.

Ashierra shivered at the caresses, her resolve weakening with every stroke. When Alek stood up and turned away, her eyes snapped open, as if awakening from a dream. What-?! "Darn you Alek!" She growled when he had left the cavern, smacking a hand at the ground. "You manipulative little punk!" Then she hugged herself, biting at her lip. She didn't need anyone! She certainly wasn't supposed to want anyone! Throwing her bag in a corner covered in leaves, she pulled out the dried goat skin and rolled it out skin down, curling up on the thick fur, facing the wall. Her fists clenched, going from pouting to brooding as she stared at the coal-black wall. Stupid males...

"You've lost it." Muttered Alek to himself as he walked around the clearing. Something about this whole place gave him a magical and relaxed feeling while at the same making him feel incredible guilty of his teasing manipulation.
Alek's tail twitched as he jumped about chasing after the flickering fireflies. But then his face changed to pure seriousness as he made his way back towards the path. For what seemed like hours, the cattaur walked the path checking it for their journey tomorrow. Truly despite his careful observation of how to tackle the mountains, Alek was mainly clearing his mind. Still it would help if he could learn more about the area, but it all seemed like a lone place. Maybe no one really lived here after all. A small sigh as he headed back towards the cave. "But maybe that's why this place is as it is."
That was true and Alek smiled allowing his face to soften as he gazed about and up at the now star filled sky. "Beautiful." He whispered thinking of stars and fire sprites at the same time.

Now that she was sitting still, Ashierra could feel the coolness of the expansive cave. Turning over, she looked for nooks in the walls and placed small, selfsustaining fires in them. Depending on her body to tell her when the cave had warmed and to put out the fires, she turned back over to study the wall again. The hard rock would be good for holding the heat. She suddenly thought of the other heat going on around her. Males... No not just males. Alek. There had to be some secret to his ability to get her reacting so much. What was it? She thought so hard on it, deliberatly searching for any reason other than an attraction to him, which would easily make her more suseptable. It had to be something else! She was getting drowsy the more she thought, and irritated the more she hit dead ends.

Finally when the moon was high in the sky, Alek headed down the tunnel and back into the cavern. "Ash-" He whispered before shaking his head and stopping himself. He looked over at her new location and smiled softly though it was mixed in with a small grimace.
It looked like she was sleeping though. So Alek did dare to do something that he normally wouldn't do. Maybe it was because he was sleepy or that Ashierra looked so far away in her new corner, but what ever it was the cattaur moved silently until he stood over her.
Bending down, Alek ran a hand through her hair and kissed the strands that he had caught in his hand. "G'night, Ashierra." He whispered softly before heading back over to his spot. Closing his eyes, Alek noted how the fire places looked nice before falling asleep.

In the recesses of her sleep, Ashierra heard Alek say good night. From those depths, an unconcious reply floated softly from her lips. "Good night Alek." ----------- The day was fresh and new, but inside the cave, it was still dark. The only light was from one fire near the back of the cave, all the others having gone out. Ashierra stirred from a dream of fire and passion, moaning softly and stretching her limbs. A circle of flame formed overhead to light the cave a little more. Looking around, she saw Alek asleep in his corner. A small smile played on her lips before absolute horror cleaned it away, her golden eyes flaring. "Ugh!!" She yelped, jumping up and practicly running from the cave. She burst into the sunlight gasping. "Just a dream. Just a dream." She muttered repeatedly, splashing into a pool of night chilled water to get ride of the hot feeling inside her, to chase the dream away. How could she have dreamt such a thing?! She didn't want that, right? Right?! She didn't! She watched the cold water steam from the touch of her skin and groaned.

'Give up. You'll never win.' Figures swirled in his mind along with repeated phrases. Each thing slowly began to get swallowed up into flames before- "Ugh!"
Alek woke up with a start. "Nightmares again?" He groaned and raked a shaking hand through his hair before looking around. Was Ashierra already up? He pondered before actually looking over to her corner. Seeing nothing there, Alek sighed and realized that she was already up. He didn't know whether to feel relieved or afraid, because there was no telling what she was up to so early in the morning.
Still a small grin couldn't help but to play itself on his lips as he remembered how he had gotten to Ashierra last night. 'I need to behave myself.' He thought before getting up from his stiff position. Then after one more quick glance around Alek headed back outside. Instant relief hit him along with the sun beams and the cattaur's fur warmed immensely in the light.

Climbing out of the pool, Ashierra sighed and headed back to the cave, fur dried within a few steps. To keep her mind distracted, she picked a flower and studied it intently. The dark purple petals lined with a grey-blue were a good reprieve from the red and orange that had latched to her mind as of late. She was studying the flower so hard, she didn't even realize she had reached the cave, and Alek.

Unable to resist, Alek ducked into some brush and watched Ashierra. Apparently she hadn't noticed him yet, and the cattaur wanted to have a bit of fun. So he lowered his body against the ground and taking soft steps, Alek made his way around Ashierra.
Finally he raised himself up and with sparks of fire coming from his fur, Alek pounced on Ashierra. "Gotcha!" He yelled with a loud laugh.

Getting pounced, Ashierra was caught offguard. The suprise kicked her protective instincts into high gear. She watched the flower eaten by flames as her own magic flared in responce, golden eyes dilating to almost completely black, mouth spitting out a defensive hiss. She spun her torso, throwing her arm in an attempt to catch the attacker in a backward headlock.

Alek's surprise at Ashierra's instant reaction was nearly overwhelming. But his body automatically twisted to move from her before she could get a hold on him. His paws moved under her and he used his heavier weight in an attempt to pin her down. "Hey!" Alek yelped, not because he was afraid of fighting but the way she had hissed at him.
"It's just me!" Alek's voice was barely a murmur as he tried to connect their gazes to get her to stop. "Ashy, calm down." Suddenly he felt a shadow of remorse flicker, maybe sneaking up on her like that hadn't been such a good idea.
