~Who killed the person in the bathroom, clean?~
Anabell watched each seperate reaction of the party guests, swirling a finger through her hair, thinking. She watched as a Kitsune scurried up the banister of the stairs and spoke, waiting for the idea that followed. How keen... She thought the idea of a small group of people searching would be fun, as long as she was a part of it. Because she stood already near the front of the crowd, her height wavered beneath that of the rest, she had no trouble watching and waiting for the hosts reaction to the idea, she would gladly join in after he gave the okay. A very nice Idea indeed...

Ato tried not to smile too broadly at the almost instantaneous volunteers, and noticed the gleam of agreement in the eyes of several others. The final decision would have to be up to the host, to whom Ato now turned his attention with a hopeful smile. This would be the easiest way to play detective.

The familiar pink mist glided across the floor, and gathered all together once in an open area. The figure of Vexis started to solidify out of the magenta mist, she always looked so graceful when in mist form, but was such a klutz when solid. Vexis glanced around the room with a bored expression on her face, leave it to the Synith to be bored when a murderer is amongst them. "Certainly wasn't me, I just got here!" She said, shrugging slightly. "Wait...why am I here, anyway? I hate you!" Vexis shouted, pointing to Jad from above.

Various sounds and voices all echoed and synced together, forming a vocal image of the room in Nomiko's mind. She could hear the sounds echoing off the walls, and knew what the room was shaped like this way. Her ears were far more efficient than a normal person's, so being blind wasn't much of a handicap to her. One voice in particular stood out to Nomiko, her face hardened up upon hearing it, she knew who it was. Nomiko was well-hidden amongst a large crowd, and knew that she wouldn't be found easily. But still...what if Vexis did see her?

Vexis just nodded while listening to the fox-thing's idea, "I'll go! It's certainly better than sticking around here, watching Grand Admiral Jacka$$ celebrate his worthless birthday!"

Jad nodded, "A search party it is. I don't want the festivities ruined..."
Jad blinked when he saw Vexis. Kendris did as well.
"Jad... Is she your ex?"
"No... that's Vexis... about 60,000 years ago I met her... I don't know why you're here! You must have stepped through a temporal portal like everyone else!"
Kendris raised an eyebrow, then looked back at Vexis, "Did you date him?"

((I forgot this was in the future from L.I.S, so Vexis must be getting pretty damn old, too... xd )
If this were an anime, Vexis would have turned Chibi and have one of those giant tear-drop things next to her head. But, instead, she just looked disgusted, eye twitching.
"HELL NO!!!!!!!!! WHY WOULD I EVEN CONSIDER DATING SOMEONE AS SELF-CENTERED AND ANNOYING AS THAT b*****d!?!?!?!"
Amongst the crowd, Nomiko flinched at Vexis' caterwauling. She always knew Vexis was loud, obnoxious, and immature; but not nearly this bad. Hmm...perhaps it was a certain time of the month...

Sheo strolled out of the crowd, up to Vexis, and clamped a hand over the girl's mouth. Her eyebrow had been twitching at all the shouting, and a nerve was beginning to show, raw, on her forehead.
"Will you just shut up?" Sheo scowled. Earlier, she had been asking around for how to get back home, because she still needed to kill Jun for crushing her beloved Humvee.
Wherever and whenever that was....

"Murhrff!" Vexis fought her way to freedom, backing away from Sheo. "Who the heck are you!?!?!" She started to shout again, but someone grabbed onto her shoulder just before she could get too audible.
The person who grabbed her was a complete stranger...or so Vexis thought. The woman had long, white hair, a very angular face, and wore a blindfold over her eyes.
Vexis just stared at the stranger for a moment, confusion and curiosity lingered in her expression.
"She's with me, I'll make sure this little annoyance stays quiet." Nomiko told Sheo, still gripping onto Vexis' arm. Good, Vexis didn't seem to recognize her just by voice alone.
Nomiko had this...talent, a special talent that no one else in her family had. She could alter her appearance while re-solidifying, facial structure, body shape, even hair and eye color. The only thing she couldn't change was her voice.
Thank god Vexis was so gullible.
"Now...you volunteered to help investigate, correct? Why don't you go with the others?" Nomiko shoved Vexis towards the group of volunteers. Surprisingly, Nomiko had a really good aim when shoving her sister around, considering that she cannot see.
Vexis looked puzzled, and tried to turn around to ask the stranger a question, but by the time she was able to reach Nomiko -she wasn't there anymore. "Well...crap..."

Anabell slowly gravitated toward the small growing search party and blended in, not completly obscured thanks to her silver hair she took pride in being short, not many people saw her enter. She hated having to converse with people.. They were so annoying after a few minutes.. Her hands twisted through her hair again, fingrs swirling random strands together and apart, it gave them the appearance of playing with liquid chrome

Sheo shrugged, backed away, and stood near an unmoving curtain, hanging down from a large window. Comically, she struck the curtain, to insure that no one was hiding behind it. Questions? She was brought here in the middle of nowhere and nowhen for questioning for a murder?
Sheo laughed softly. This would be fun.
And she wouldn't be joining any detective squad, or whatever these kids were playing today.
