Werewolf all the way ^^.
The only vampire I have ever liked was Lestat De Lioncourt from the Anne Rice novels. But while vampires are so perfect and regal and rich, the werewolf can live in poverty and still be happy.

A complex question deserves a complex answer. Werewolves come in many types as do vampires. Certain werewolves are restricted by the full moon, while others are a response to stimuli, and others still at will. Some vampires are restricted to the night, others loose their powers in the day (The novel "Dracula" by Brahm Stoker). Werewolves tend to signify the unadulterated force of the beast within, while vampires tend to be more about elegant speed. As such, one would be comparing apples to oranges, or more animals to gentlemen. My personal opinion falls to the latter of the two, mainly because vampires can take many shapes, where the werewolf is stuck with two or three (human, wolf, hybrid). But I do not claim that Vampires are a superior sub-species of humans. Simply more to my taste.

I would rather be a werewolf for the day walking and power at night *shrugs* but you know its not like id mind either.
Depends on which lore of which creature we are talking about here for me to pick.

I would have to say vampires. I have had read many books with vampires in it. I do like watching werewolves and vampire moves. I have played as a vampire for many rolepay sites so I might be a little biased.
