 Alice took his hands in hers and stroked his face "Because he's smarter than he looks he'll find out he prbably already knows... And well he will try to expose us so and you know the choices we go through when this happens..." She sighed looking deeply in his eyes

"Poor kid, doomed to this life forever,"Jasper said, his voice cracking as he spoke. "Will he still have asthma?"he asked Alice as an after-thought."I know you guys aren't wholly human,"Nicholai said when he looked at Alice and Jasper. He coughed and took a deep breath before continuing,"You're vampires aren't you?"

Alice smiled "He'll be healthier than all of us put together" she whispered _________________________________  Esme froze for a second put was too fast for nicholai to notice "Well now what would give you that idea? You kids with your imaginations maybe yu don't have enough oxygen in that head of yours to think clearly" Esme soothed trying to prove him wrong.

"Good,"Jasper said,letting out a sigh."Tell me has a few more months of being human though,"he said while looking at Nicholai, his face was pale and had a light sheen of sweat on his forehead.

"I have a feeling that I'm right,"Nicholai said while wheezing in the oxygen. He was gasping as he struggled to fill his lungs with the air he desperatly wanted.

Jasper sighed and bit his bottom lip. "We have to make sure that he doesn't get hurt for a while than, I can't guarantee keeping him from getting sick though,"he said with another sigh."I guess you're right,"Nicholai said breathlessly as he gasped in oxygen. His cheeks were slightly flushed whe he blushed for thinking they were vampires, that's obsurd.

"Yeah, yeah,"Nicholai grumbled slightly breathless. He was panting heavily with a few coughs in between."He's stubborn, that's for sure. Let's tell Esme,"Jasper said while nodding at Alice. Walking back into the room he sat down next to Nicholai and moved his hair out of his face.

Jasper looked at the oxygen tank for a moment befor turing it ever so slightly. "He was having trouble breathing,I increased his oxygen intake,"he explained to Alice and Esme."Th-thanks,"Nicholai wheezed, gasping in the extra oxygen. He was hoping that his attack would lessen up some.

Alice gave Nicholai a sheepish look "you will be fine she placed her hand on his arm." ______________________________________ Esme smiled. "thank you Jasper...... Alice....?" she said hesitantly looking at her hand on his arm she was careful not to touch him only his hair.

Jasper could hear Nicholai's wheezes start to ease up as the oxygen took effect. "That's right, breathe,"Jasper whispered while rubbing Nicholai's sholder.Nicholai was relieved to feel his airways start to open and let him take slightly deeper breaths. "It's alot easier to breathe, thanks,"he said with a small smile.
