Character:: Christopher "Crow" Scar
Location:: Organization headquarters, hallway

He took a side glance at her face, that countenance was as fake as his own cheery smiles. But he said nothing additional.

She seemed too be hiding a lot of suppressed emotions like him. Well, it was obvious that she was trying to suppress the urge of bashing him in the face but besides that. However, Crow was someone who would sit down and pass comforting words. He mostly likely would be the one to laugh and point.

Crow paused and chuckled once more, "Survived. If you consider it that way."

He took a step into the elevator and courteously waited for Felicity to get in, holding down the open button. "I don't bite," he remarked, gesturing to the small space next to him. Oh, but he could if he wished to. However, Crow knew, it'll definitely earn him more than a punch in the eye if he tried anything with this girl.

Character:: Dolly Cathers
Location:: Nyx headquarters, outside elevator

Dolly raised her eyebrow at Alpha's sudden rush but made no effort in pointing it out. She took a glance at Clark and Akana, they had already dispersed. Dolly chuckled, she was usually the first one out of meetings and sometimes left even when it didn't end. She didn't have all the time in the world to dilly-dally. Adjusting her hat on her head, she turned to look at Eve.

"How can Strake just leave his wife here?" Dolly commented, pasting on an angry expression. She hooked her hand around Eve's arm and glanced down the direction that Strake disappeared. "When he gets back, he'll be in for it."

"Seems like this wait would be long, lets get out of this stuffy place and get some fresh air Eve dear," Dolly remarked cocking her head and smiling. But not like the air was really that different on the outside.

Character: Clark G. McArthur.
Location: Streets

"Well, I myself avoid making a game out of it. I usually focus less on learning how and why they tick, and more on learning how to let myself decide when they tick." He answered, looking over to her once more. "You're right on that last one. You never do know what to expect, especially in your company." He added, scanning the street when he was finished. He didn't know howl ong these pleasantries wouldl ast before one of his men showed up, and halted them for a few moments. They would eventually be in his "Territory". Or at least where he spent most of his time, and where most of the men loyal to him resided.

A thought occured to him then, though the line of questioning was harmful enough, Akana's title was Trickster. The whole friendly facade could all just be a way for her to learn about him, and use it against him in the future. Clark looked to her once more then, and the thought dissapeared. What the face could hide the eyes ouldn't, and hers seemed to be as mirth-filled as the conversation they had been having.

Character: Akana Massri
Location: Streets

Akana noticed his discerning and momentarily distrustful gaze. She didn't comment on it, though. Sometimes it was better to let people come to their own conclusion instead of trying too hard to convince them.

You let them puzzle it all out, sweets, said a wisp of a memory.

Akana unwittingly let her friendly mask slip and her dark eyes seemed clouded and distant as the remnants of grief distracted her. For a while she had been able to ignore what day it was, but that tugging sorrow snagged and caught at the memory of death.

A particularly bright beam of sunlight glared into her eyes and she blinked, freeing herself from the old memory and offering a hesitant smile up to Clark, she said,

"I'm sorry, my mind just wandered away with me."

He had of course, noticed the look in her eyes, and let it go. If she wanted him to know, she would tell him. Untill then, he would remain respectably curious. So, he offered no reply, but nodded. They continued for a little while in silence. Clark wasn't good at making small talk. He could keep up a conversation, but not start one. He had simply never had time for casual conversation over the years.

He let his own mind wander after a minute, to the days when he was traveling. It was then that rememberance dawned on him and he looked over at Akana.

"Farshard, a little ways up North. That's where we've seen each other before. Took all of Dave's money. He was still looking for you a month later when I left!" Clark exclaimed, having stopped after the revelation. "It seems you were right earlier." He added, in a more controlled voice as a couple heads turned to look at him.

Character: Akana Massri
Location: Streets

Akana laughed, a clear, pleasant sound that filled the air. She nudged him with an elbow jokingly.

"I think he was just angry that a little slip of a girl talked him into giving her all his money and got away with it," she said, her smile flashing wickedly.

"I remember he threatened to find me, and 'his boss' would bury me alive or some such nonsense."

She shook her head, amused. That had been such a long time ago, but she still remembered it so clearly. "So, why did you leave Farshard?" she asked, smiling. "It seemed like you had all those other silly boys clambering after you like you were a god."

"Well, I'd preobably have recruited you, burying would be such a waste of talent." He remarked, walking once more. With his hands crammed into the low pockets of his coat. They were quickly approaching his territory, so he turned right instead, walking right past the street that it began.

"Well, nothing ever happened. It was a small, and largely uneventful place. After traveling for so long, I simply got jaded and left." That was the truth of the matter too. Clark liked at least a small degree of excitement. He had no problem packing up and moving after boredom took hold of him for too long.

Character: Akana Massri
Location: Streets

Akana fluttered her eyelashes flirtatiously, acting ridiculously flattered by the joking compliment.

"Why Clark, I'm glad you wouldn't shove me underground, it means so much," she teased, her voice a dead on imitation of a flustered schoolgirl.

She nodded in agreement as Clark explained his reasons for leaving. Akana hadn't even lived in Farshard, she had only been passing through. This was only a few months after she left home, and Dave had been one of her first successes.

Character:: Felicity "Felix" Garth
Location:: Organization headquarters, hallway

"I do." She said sharply in response, stepping into the elevator after him. It was a very cramped space she noted dully. Still enough space for a quick reaction, a flash of steel. Unknowingly she smiled a little at the prospect of stabbing Crow. It wouldn't happen, so it was fun to imagine. Somehow, imagining was so much more amusing then doing.

She watched the elevator doors close then felt the semi-familiar feeling of falling smoothly. No place to escape now. How lovely. Felicity wondered how she'd turned so grim and the answer, she knew, was lurking in her mind already.

"Why are we meeting your men anyway?" She mused, more to herself then to him. She did it to get her mind off the topic at hand. It was fairly obvious why they were meeting, but she asked Crow anyway. He probably hadn't informed his unit of the attack on the Nyx yet so now he was doing so, dragging her along in the process. She didn't understand quite why he hadn't just left her aside and gone to do it himself. Who was she, an impetuous Junior member, to him? She was of no import to whatever his cause might be. She wouldn't be cared about by Crow's faction.

All this because she got out of the damn shooting range five minutes too soon.

Character: Clark G. McArthur.
Location: Streets

Inside, Clark was completely taken aback by the abrupt, unexpect display. Ouwardly, he simply raised a bemused eyebrow, and shook his head. Expecting the unexpected, whoever came up with that clearly knew one of Akana's ancestor's. He thought to himself. He sighed outwardly, thinking back to his own family, not because of any ill feeling towards them though. They were up north, they would more than likely join the Organization. It was not an encounter he looked forward to, if it ever even happened.

He shook the thoughts from his head. There was no need to dwell on something that might not be. Instead, he half-smiled at Akana and tried to strike up another conversation.

"So, why'd you leave your, assumed, boring life, and come be a criminal leader in Serial?" He asked, after a few seconds. His hands still crammed into his pockets.

Character: Akana Massri
Location: Streets

Akana gestured vaguely, shaking her head.

"Nothing exciting, really. Just regular, upper middle class parents who wanted me to get married and settle down when I was old enough. One day, something just snapped. I told them I was going for a walk, and I think at first that's all it was...but then I didn't go home,"

Her voice was softer when she remembered running away, and a private smile was pulling the corners of her mouth.

"I went back to check on my family once or twice, but they never saw me, and I never talked to them. It's better that way."

( I just moved your RP to the Advanced subforum! I like how you've set up a map, ranking system, and free-use NPCs. You guys' profiles are good quality, too! That's important for keeping an advanced RP going. Good luck!)

((Thank you for that. I quite like the detailed profiles/setup combined with the casual pace myself.))

Character: Clark G. McArthur.
Location: Streets

Clark nodded, in his usual way. He had a habit of doing that instead of answering. Their stories were similar in some ways. They both had run away, and both traveled for a long while afterwards. Even their paths crossed, once at least. If it were more than once he certainly didn't remember. Clark was going to remark on how maybe things would have been better if Akana had gone back to her family, but held his toungue. Instead, he chose a different path of conversation.

"It's a shame really, with a voice like that you could have been a great entertainer." It was a small compliment, but he had nothing else to say. He doubted she would ever choose the path of an entertainer to being a leader of a criminal uprising. Still though, Clark rarely lied. A trait concealed by the rumors surrounding him. Rumors of a deceitful, uncaring, blood thirsty criminal. They entertained him on occasion.

Character: Akana Massri
Location: Streets

Akana smiled, enjoying the compliment. Clark wasn't a conversationalist, to be sure, but she didn't mind it. Akana knew he was listening, and she enjoyed talking.

"I think that's what I wanted to do, when I realized I wasn't going home. I never really planned to become a criminal. I wanted to act, actually. But I was too young, I mean, a teenage girl, completely alone? If I wanted to keep traveling, I had to find an adaptable means of supporting myself, and I didn't want to sell my body."

She paused, redirecting the conversation into less tricky territory. She realized she was approaching a small part of her past she would prefer to keep to herself.

"I enjoy singing, too, but I feel I would be a much better actress. As a distraction, I find myself doing quite a bit of acting anyways. Not to mention the more subtle aspects of my job here."

Character::Christopher "Crow" Scar
Location:: Organization Territory, Underground Chamber

Crow was actually thankful that she decided to continue the conversation with another question, even if it was an obvious one. He despised quietness especially in cramped areas. The silence in the elevator would have been unbearable. It allowed him too much time to think. And too much thinking could ruin you.

“There is quite an obvious answer to that question isn’t there?” Crow commented half amused. He took a glance at the cell phone in his pocket; there was no longer any connection. As expected, his “hideout” was underground after all. It was no longer connected with the Organization headquarters.

The elevator shook and made a loud ‘thud’ sound once it reached the bottom of the level. The door slid open slowly and Crow walked out. But he paused, thinking twice, and turned back to look at Felicity.

“Actually, it would be the best if you stayed here Miss Felicity. I’ll come and get you when I finish tending my business,” he ordered. He had secrets for a reason. Crow spun back around and disappeared through the double steel doors, his footsteps clicking further and further away.

His men were…not the same as the regular Organization troops. First of all, they were not approved by the Commander and they were ex-convicts. Crow had brought them over when he left the Nyx. His men didn’t follow the same rules and regulation. They were unorganized and uncivilized. But they fought well and knew their tricks well, that is why Crow used them to his benefit.

He took a step onto the bridge like platform that overlooked the entire floor below them. It was chaotic, like always. His men crowded the entire room, dressed shabbily in their peasant and unclean attire. A mixture of voices rang out in the room, everyone was trying to yell and get their voice in over the commotion. The room was hot due to the big tanks of boiling water for the metal work at one end of the room. At other end, there was gambling and wrestling going on; something to pass leisure time. But the main center of the room was an arena where the actual entertainment was going on. It was the main attraction in the room, two big men went up to fight and usually it was fight till death. Loud cheering went off and Crow peered to look. He smiled; a man, covered with filth and blood, was being dragged off the platform. This was like his own little headquarters.

“General Crow, new orders?” an official appeared by his side. The ex-Nyx leader nodded and informed his henchmen what the plan was. Crow’s men were to leave for the towns first, since Crow couldn’t have them parading outside since they were unauthorized. The Commander wouldn’t be so happy if he knew what Crow had been hiding all these years. Crow would arrive later, and act as if his men were merely Nyx convicts that rebelled against their rulers.
