Hanabi appeared in a whirlwind of petals, a few yards away from the scene of the fighting. She had appeared on a branch of a tall tree and looked around. Then she spotted a huge tortoise and a guy being attacked by some creature that was underground. She didn't see Fatal.

Geno shot a laser to the side to move himself out of the way of the venom.

Fatal was under the protective shell of the tortoise (under the whole thing; not inside of the shell). From there, he crouched in the dirt and began drawing a complex symbol with his finger.
It seemed that, when you possessed such intricate knowledge of necromancy--a vast subject--then you could almost never run out of ways to pursue your goals. Whether that be defending yourself, eliminating others, or any other purpose whatsoever.
Fatal loved power. Which was why he would forever search out more.
AFTER razing Halen to the ground.

Geno charged a laser over 4x as powerful as a basic one and shot it at the tortoise.
(why would he want to destroy Halen Sanctuary specifically, anyways?)

(( Whoops. Misread your last post. xd Just edited. ))
Hanabi stayed up in the tree, watching from above. I didn't know turtles could be that big! She saw Geno shot a laser at the tortoise and frowned. Why is he attacking the turtle?

The tortoise shell was impervious to lasers--that is, energy attacks specifically. Zero multiplied by four was still zero--and thus the laser did nothing but reflect in a wild direction upward.
Fatal finished the symbolic design... which began to glow in the dirt.
"Sal vereugthno saoieu," Fatal murmured, casting a spell.

Geno's hands changed to cannons and started shooting large, armor-piercing rounds at the tortoise.

Hanabi cast a quick charm on herself and small wings appeared close to her heels. She jumped from tree to tree, getting closer to the fight.

((Because Halen represents a resistance to what Fatal plans to be his all-encompassing power. As such, Halen would serve as a means of debasing Fatal, which he cannot allow. Once (if) he obtains the true power he is seeking, he will destroy anything and everything that has any capability of resisting him, beginning with the most powerful.
He will, basically, seek out any opposition to his power and annihilate it, or attempt to.))
The tortoise let out an agonizing wail of pain as it began dying.

Hanabi stopped on tree not too far away. Then she cast a levitation spell that made Geno float up into the air and turned him upside down. Not knowing who was the bad or good guys, she saw Geno as the bad guy.

Geno quickly aimed at where the source of the magic was coming from. "Put me down, I know you aren't evil." he yelled quickly.

Fatal rushed out from under the tortoise, waving his hands. "Don't listen! I did nothing to this... person!" Fatal shouted. "He won't leave me alone!"

"He lies." Geno yelled calmly, aiming the other cannon at Fatal.

((Actually, technically, Geno IS the only one lying.))
Fatal stepped back as a scorpion was blown to pieces. That was one thing about Fatal; it was his nature to let minions fight for him. But minions... as far as they went, the scorpion and tortoise were able to seem like pets.
And if one could hear from a voice whether one was saying the truth or lying, then they would know Fatal's truth.
"It is not a lie! I have done nothing to provoke this fellow."
