I most recently read Double Trouble by Claire Cross. It's the story of the "Bad twin", whose life is still being overshadowed by her sister even in adulthood. Marylis (the main character) finds out who she really is, what she really wants, and finally starts trusting others, after her sister leaves her husband and children behind. It's a very good book, and has a "Sex and the City" sort of flare to it. It is adult literature, because of some ecchi scenes between the main character and her brother-in-law.

That sounds kind of interesting, I may have to look it up. Is it bad twin as in not as good as the other or bad twin as in evil? Or would that spoil the story?

Black sheep of the family. Her sister is seen as the goody-two shoes perfect daughter.

Ah, I'll have to find my list of things to find and add onto it.

I just read a pretty good fantasy book called Huntress by Malinda Lo, the title put me off a little but I'd read another book by her called Ash and decided to treat myself smile
I haven't read any good new fantasy for a while so I got hooked pretty easily. It's quite good in my opinion but it was a little bit generic.

I finished The Graveyard Book the other day, I really enjoyed it. It mentioned in the back of the book that he plans on writing a second book with some of the same characters, the way the book ended I don't really think it is necessary but I would be interested to read about the further adventures of Nobody Owens.

Now I have started Lost by Gregory Maguire. I'm not very far into it yet though.

I think he plans to write sequels to a few of his books, when I heard him talk he said he had an idea for a second story about the Stardust characters.

I don't often enjoy sequels but I wouldn't mind reading some from him.

Most likely. I've been following his blog so I'll keep an eye out for any sort of notice on them.

I'm reading a series of books called The Chronacles Of Pryden, fantasy set in a semi-Welsh background and I'm loving them smile On number three now.

I believe you meant to say The Chronicles of Prydain. I've always been rather fond of that series and re-read them every summer until I graduated from high school.
As for The Immortals, I'm afraid the writing hasn't held up very well. I tried to re-read the series a few years ago, but just couldn't get through it.

I did indeed smile Thanks for pointing that out. I'm afraid my spelling has never been the best. They are really wonderful books.

Yeah, I can see where you're coming from, I read them first aged 11 or so back when I was more about content than writing style so even though they aren't that great books writing wise, they do have a place with me through nostalgia.

I decided that for the month of June I was not allowed reread anything, so I have had to find completely new books! One of the best was either Snow Flower and The Secret Fan or Bridge of Birds, both lovely stories set in China.

I liked Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. I read it after one of the ladies I used to work with recommended the author. I like her other book as well though I can't remember the title of it right now.
