Octavia sounds literate, Echo Moon sounds like the name of a military squadron. Distressingly similar to Moon Unit too, which I always thought was a cruel thing for Frank Zappa to do to his daughter. If you're looking for something with a mythic edge, I suggest looking for something with a happy or neutral connotation - I'm one of those people who believes that names have a lot of power, and any story connected with the name will affect how the person's life goes. And Echo has a very very sad story. Try combing through Encyclopedia Mythica together for ideas - they're a fun resource.

But...yeah. Since when does my opinion matter? The little girl in question has two loving parents, who I am sure will decide on something they both like. After all, it's not like you're trying to name her Hysterectomy or Chlamydia.

funny you say that my mom was jokign about naming her chlamydia, she was thinking of name no one else would have in her school lol xp

Have you ever thought of just trying alternate names for the ones you have ? Like Angelic or Angelica or Annette for Ann? Luna for moon....etc?

sorry havent been on gaia for alittle while been busy with stuff, this last week one of my friends had her baby and she keeps joking that her little boy is gonna date our little girl lol, I am currently 30 weeks ago, and we desided to go with Echo Moon Walker, I tried to talk aaron in the middle name luna because i started to think about it and echo luna does sound pretty cool, the same day we were talkign about it a couples hours later the orginal moon walker died, michael jackson, and it was like holy cow we were just talking about him, i did have my 3RD and last Ultrasound and which means we have to wait to see her again til she was born, when i was holding my friends son she was kicking like crazy, Aaron and I are gonna go see her again today at her mom's place, she is scared to be alone with the baby and her and aaron have been friends since they were like 5 or 6, she called him uncle aaron lol, i am still trying to work on the nursery and when i have it done i will post pictures its a small room but I am happy that my family is letting me use it, by the way this is a pic of my belly like a 3 or 4 weeks ago, anyway i think thats it for now

1) kaite had only found out like 2 weeks because her due date that she was having a boy, before that they had been telling her, he was a she, cute little thing i ll post a pic of him later after i get back from her place, I am also gonna be buying some of her girl clothes due to everything at her baby shower for was alittle girl.

2)I got gestial diabetes, started testing my blood sugar yesterday

3) i am super worried about if i am gonna be able to do a vaginal birth, I found outt he hospital I go to has a birthing tub so i think to really talk to my doctor about a birthing plan, because he also wanted to make it clear to the doctor that we want either Aaron or I with the baby at all times.

4) I am gonna have two baby showers one for each side of my family even though i only wanted one, but thats fine because then some people wouldnt go if it was all together, I am more looking forward to the one my birth mom and her friend kenette are doign for me, thats the one i am gonna invite all my friends to

Sounds wonderful! Who had the patience to do all the art work on the tummy? It looks like it was fun.

70 is a lot - I bet she will be glad not to be carrying that around after the baby gets here. Water weight and baby, etc. it all adds up!

yep she had the baby yesterday, her cell phone was out of minutes, but while i was walking into the hospital for my appointment, and i got a call and it was from the hospistal and it was her she has the chubbiest little cheeks and looks just like her, and theny changed their mind on the name a few days ago to Sophie Isabelle Filmeier, the dad has been with her though all of this, and all her other kids have their dads name except the one with the dad who would rather die than leave her, I know it upset the dad and it kind upsets me to because Scotty is such a great guy

Just practice deep, meditative breathing, honey. That helped me soooo much in delivery. And don't worry - you'll do just fine! I had the option of a birthing tub, and I tried it for a bit, but honestly I found that sitting in a shower stall and aiming hot water on my lower back worked much better. Most labor & delivery rooms have a shower, I think.

I'll pass along some wisdom my mother shared with me, and it helped a lot: "Just around the time in the birthing process when you think the pain is too much and you can't take it - that's the peak, and it's all easier from there. So if you wait until then to get a painkiller...don't bother. By the time the drugs kick in you'll probably be done, and you recover faster if you go without."

Birth plan or no, I had midwives offering me painkillers and whatnot both times - I just had to keep telling them I didn't want any...

Oh yeah, add to your birth plan if you can: the father is usually a basket case. Tell him you desperately need him to rub your feet the whole time or something similar - it gives him something to do, and really is helpful. I always have my husband rub my lower back. I get no breaks, and neither does he. 3nodding

I think having the dad involved in some way also helps them to bond a little more because they feel part of the process, too.
