(( At this rate I shall get it after two more failed attempts. But I have no idea what this magical flick is Zinny lol ))
For the second time Mika closed her eyes to focus. The tightened the muscles in her body to force the chakra from within. The girl made what seemed to be a peace sign at he chest. As Mika tried to force her chakra out she spoke again. "No, my life is not the price for power. Power is the payoff of good work, and lots of it. Though you are my sensei I still have my own thought process, if there was no good outcome I could see I doubt I would participate." With her thoughts expressed, Mika opened her eyes again feeling little between her fingers. This was clearly not her strong suit. The girl let out a small sigh. I'll get it eventually.. Mika then loosened her muscles as well as her posture.

Hikaru walked into the oasis and took a deep breath. the cool night air slowly filling his lungs to the brim he then exhaled as if he was expelling a small tornado. "Man I forgot how nice the air was in this oasis." Hikaru slowly made it over two Lokail and Mika. "Hey Lokail, Mika." Hikaru said as he had over heard their conversation. he then released a short sigh as he looked at Mika. "Mika if you want to get anywhere with your training then you need to learn to show Lokail the same respect that he shows you, None. And Lokail to answer you question I chose to be taught by you for one reason; Power. if I want to become Kazekage then I have to be more powerful than the current Kazekage but I'm not so I just have to accept that and train under you until one day I am strong enough to take your job. oh and this jutsu training looks like fun I think I'll give it a try."

Hikaru did what Lokail had said but it was a weird sensation trying to tap into his wind chakra being that it was his first time. "Wow that's an odd feeling." Hikaru said as he snapped his fingers a few times and got ready to try again. Little did Hikaru know he was attempting to do something that was to most impossible. and that was trying to tap into two different types of chakra. most ninja are born with only one element affinity but for those lucky few that are born with two a whole other world is opened to them most ninja, however, usually learn to tap into this power when they become chunin or even jonin. Hikaru was an eleven year old genin trying to take the chunin exam and tap into his second chakra element. he hadn't even began to learn his clan's jutsu. Hikaru truly was a prodigy and the pride of his clan. Regardless of his potential nobody had ever told Hikaru about it because it would probably cause him to be even more overconfident than he already was and it would also make him very arrogant and as a ninja aiming to be Kazekage that would not be a good thing. Hikaru was completely oblivious to how great the exercise he was doing actually was as he just went back to the exercise with a determined look on his face.

Lokail growled at Hikaru as he walked up. He was angry that this was a wind exercise, which meant no one other than Mika could do it, not even Lokail. Deciding he was just ticked off enough, he stood up and backhanded Hikaru angrily.
You annoy me. However, i respect your determination. He then grabbed Hikaru by the ear and dragged him over to the rocks. Alright, this is an excercise. You stand on the rocks, and i will hurl other rocks at you. How you choose to avoid them is completely up to you. He then threw Hikaru onto one of the rocks and then grabbed a boulder twice the size of Hiaru. Heads up, kid. and with that he hurled the large rock at the young boy. [[How you decide to deal with the big rock is up to you, but the DC is 15 no matter what. And if i'm not online and you want to continue this exercise, its safe to assume that Lokail is always throwing a rock at you. So you don't need to wait up]]

Danmit!, Mika said, She was clearly becoming frustrated. I've graduated from the academy, this should not be this difficult! Mika rolled her eyes and scanned her surroundings. Rush and Hikaru where training vigorously, she needed to reach that level. She truly detested needing to be saved from her friend Hikaru every time there was danger. Hopefully this training from Lokail sensei would speed up the process. In stead of widening her stance, Mika narrowed it. Maybe, this was her issue. The small girl closed her eyes, tensing all of the muscles she could feel in her body. Her face no doubt looked like a dried up apple. After minutes of standing like that, she relaxed. Mika exhaled heavily after her failure. This is not the results Lokail would be at all proud of..

Hikaru had now found himself in the path of a giant boulder. He smiled as he knew his actions were bold. with all accounts of Lokail's personality he should be dead. but he knew he was slowly earning the respect of Lokail. Hikaru watched as the boulder came at him faster and faster as he had little time to think about what he would do to avoid it. Hikaru got ready to jump out of the way of the boulder but as he went to jump he felt a sharp pain in his leg. "Damn!" Hikaru said as he was about to be crushed. Damn those bandits. it looks like my leg is still a little messed up from the blast. What to do. Hikaru couldnt think of anything and with the boulder speeding twords him he had to come up with something. That's it! Hikaru thought as he quickly made some hand seals and used his shunshin no jutsu to quickly jump to the side and just barely avoid the boulder. "That was close." Hikaru said as he showed no emotion whatsoever

Rush noted the others leaving to do something or other. Even though he was heading to the chunnins soon after a quick training mostly as a warm up, life would continue at the oasis, his teammates would grow stronger. Depending on how the exams went he might not be part of the gennin cell anymore. Hmm . . . He’d still train under Lokail even If he made chuunin though, wouldn’t he? It was unpredictable. Although soon after the chunnins, Rush wished to request Lokail leave to go to Konoha and retrieve his lost tome of kekkai genkai jutsu. Rush shook off stray thoughts and stared at the dummy. He turned and walked back another hundred feet, seeing as he felt pressed for time, he wouldn’t bother with a warm-up set. He was doing the length of one and found little need to go even further down in simplicity. Rush wouldn’t hurt himself in this menial of a task. He would extradite flair for the first few throws, but nothing much. He slid three senbon out of the leather pouch he kept on his person, letting the beautifully slender metal slide about his flesh. The feeling of control was a compelling one that drove Rush to get better at control with senbon. With three in hand he stared at the dummy, resisting the predatory instincts to smile at an oblivious foe about to perish. He stuck his arm strait up, and swung it downward, feeling his ligaments slide along each other as the needles left his grip.

The three senbon hit splendidly, sinking into the burlap of the unlucky man, whose smile was placed ironically and inappropriately. The dummy had two slunk in the chest and one in the neck, almost being a critical shot. Admittedly Rush was a little worn in the shoulder, but nothing that could be considered a hindrance. Rush would work on his acrobatics a bit for the next one, as he was able to and it spiced things up. He flexed his knees and went back another thirty feet. He bent down a few times to stretch out a bit then prepared. Pulling out a few more senbon he took aim and ran at the dummy. Once thirty feet closer, where he was before, jumped into the air and used momentum in a careful manner to hurl himself in a flip creating a blur of his arms as they launched the weapons almost invisibly. They went straight towards the target, expectedly, and Rush landed, in a bit of a haze. He might have overdone it already. He had too much confidence in his ability, as the severity of the blast was unclear to him, as he was unconscious shortly after. Rush pushed himself from his bent state, breathing a little heavy, not from exhaustion, but from holding back the soreness from over-exertion. It was a sad state to be in. The vigorous confidence that filled him a week ago had been depleted and filled instead with self doubt. It was troubling that he was going into the chuunins with this feeling inside him. Rush stood wearily, trying to shake off the feeling.

Rush looked to see the needles stuck in the dummy. At least his ability hadn’t been impaired in the flashy move. He stood with grim face of cynicism. Was he just forestalling reading the note because he was scared of what the Chuunins would hold? He wasn’t sure; he was just discouraged and understandably so. He bent down with a needle in hand and scratched at the sand humming to drown out his thoughts, irrationality toying around his mind. He flicked his wrist, aiming for power in his throw rather than accuracy. He didn’t even look at the target, but he didn’t care, his mind bore heavy concerns that were only dire to him. Rush was a self-critical fellow and he surely wasn’t as bad as he assumed. Getting over himself was wisest, but most difficult for him. Sure it was nice being an adept analyst, but he could turn it off, he thought three steps ahead always and obsessed about five steps behind him. A compulsion that made him a decent leader, sure; but it struck his mind with self-doubt with the constant room for error. He shrugged it off forcedly and looked at his target to see how deep the needle sunk.

Strength wasn’t Rush’s forte, clearly, but he was a specialist in speed and could proficiently fling his wrist in a way partial to senbon to achieve strength in his throw. This technique showed in his throw. The needle was deep in the skull of the dummy. Alas his talent still seemed accurate. He did not decline in skill, but why would he. He was probably giving too much credit to the explosion’s effect upon him. Regardless, it was slightly comforting to know he stood a chance. But to be fair, he didn’t know how good the competition was. He didn’t want to rely on his candy jutsu too much, but if he ran out of senbon or was in a close proximity, he’d be pretty defenseless. He couldn’t focus on the negative though. He needed to gain confidence; he shouldn’t be putting himself through this all day. For a third time, he shrugged downing thoughts off his mind and pulled out a couple more senbon. He stared his target down. A hapless smile coats its face, sure, but it was still the target. . .

Clearly, his heavy thoughts weighed his skill down. A needle missed the target in a matter that was hideously discouraged. Rush kept his composure, because he was a professional fellow in his line of work, but it was tricky to keep doubt out of his mind when that happened. He clenched his fit, small veins, enlarging of the heat of the weather and the heat of his blood. It was discouraging, but he would just let his thoughts sink out of him and clear his mind when he departed. He pulled out six needles and decided to go for sheer number while retaining his control. He would still take a running start, as it was nice to get some extra force behind a throw, although sometimes it was at the cost of accuracy. He walked back, noticing the slight jingle in his pocket lessened, indicating he was running low on senbon, he might have to collect them after another throw or two. It was only a shame he lost one, considering he had no idea where that stray one went. He stopped walking, turned and faced the dummy, raising his arms crossways. He then flicked both arms and wrists down, having all six fly in a cross towards the target.

The senbon all hit, but they were all pretty much body shots. He wouldn’t have expected much else with that large of number of attacks. He was getting more and more skilled and handling more and faster. His growth was noticeable but not notable. He had a long way to go before he appeared on anyone’s radar. Rumor was that his cousin Shadow and his old teammate Karnage were entering, who were both incredibly advanced gennin, so even if he was lucky in the exams, how far could he excel with those two competing. It was disheartening that after years of this he was only potentially going to up another rank, if he was incredibly lucky. He’d have to broaden his horizons of ability, although he did enjoy excelling at senbon work. He felt a slight bit of sweat on his brow that came only from determination. Maybe it was only determination to squeeze some last-minute training in, but it drove Rush; Drove him to concentrate on the target, line up his shot before taking action. If only he could take this much time on the battlefield. Regardless, he took every precaution and threw another two senbon in rapid succession, each only milliseconds behind the last.

Another few good shots, one was a kill shot, always a nice touch. Still Rush began to feel anticipation for the approaching exams. He was much too emotional and felt things on a whim. He shrugged and got back to work. This time he’d throw four rounds of two, for fitting in multiple attacks. He stretched a little, hopefully to be ready to do this move with a little flair, despite past accidents. He stood, removed four, placing two in each hand, then threw two, jumped to the side, throwing two more in midair, and upon landing jumped himself over the target, hurling another two down at it, ending with a shunshin in the air about 40 feet away, throwing a final two. All in a flashy manner, whether or not he succeeded in actually being effective.

A few throws had only hit the arms, but the rest were body shots and one heart shot; Very endearing to his ego. It was nice knowing Rush could agilely move around with offensive capabilities. He was breathing somewhat heavily, as he had been jumping this way and that. Still, he had plenty of energy left, and felt no sign of over exertion. He moved two large rocks in the path of the target, with only a sliver of room between the two towards the target. He also walked farther away. It was a somewhat leisurely walk, as moving the boulders wore Rush more than throwing senbon did. But when he was at an appropriate distance, he concentrated. He wasn’t trying to achieve anything flashy, just trying to hit it. After several long moments of staring he lifted his arm, gently caressing the metal weapon, ready to throw soon, but not quite yet. The target seemed so much smaller, but it was within his capability surely, it was just an actual challenge, as opposed to jumping all around, showing off to invisible audiences. He swung his wrist delicately, as to get decent launch without strain, and watched to see if the shot would hit it’s mark, or careen into the opposing stone.

The shot was a hit, but strode dangerously close to the jagged traps of concealing stone, desiring to deprive Rush of his secret glory. He was still a kid and he still saw inanimate objects as living creature. But he was a teenager now, and was a bit more cynical than he used to be, so he saw these creature-objects as maleficent beings. Still, they had not foiled him. He checked his pocket. He had only four senbon left. He could go for one last flashy throw, but what? He figured two in each hand, a simple gesture of aggression. But he didn’t want to just recycle and reuse hopping around in a crack-addled frog-like manner, throwing the occasional needle. He’d try something different. He found a branch that seemed durable and strong. He took some rope at the ‘supply pile’ and tied the branch to another stump deftly rooted in the ground. Then he delicately placed the target atop the straining branch. Instead of two senbon per hand, he placed three in one, and the last in his off-hand. Then he backed up, waited a moment, and threw the lone senbon at the rope, piercing it in two, abruptly flinging the target in midair. Hopefully Rush hadn’t incorrectly guessed how far the target would go and it ended up injuring someone. Well, too late, as the target as hurdling through the air, and Rush couldn’t hesitate. He three his last three at the target, hoping for a decent hit. A brief thought popped into his head wondering if this was excessive, but alas, it was much too entertaining for Rush to heed this thought.
