I have a lot of problems with food, and people have a habit of touching my tray so I won't eat what's on the plate which is on it. I'm odd like that. If someone touches my tray, my plate is infected. If my plate is infected, my food is infected and I don't eat it.
People wonder why I'm so thin.

What's under my bed
It's every night, the same routine Feels like something is creeping up on me What's that lurking behind that door Aarrrghh!
Monsters chasing after me I get no sleep I'm running but no matter what It gets me no where Something is under my bed Snapping at my leg I'm frozen

Behatz, I can totally relate. I feel the same way (though I say 'contaminated' and not 'infected'), but no one touches my tray. But I can still have obsessions. Once, I saw the school lunch server except dollar bills for luch and then havd me some food without changing gloves. It upset me, but I was able to eat it. Another time, their hand touched a school project with paint on it someone was showing them and did the same thing. I did not like it. crying

while I'm here, a bit of inspiration
The Litany Against Fear
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
~Frank Herbert Dune 1965

Normally, I'd say your comments are irrelevant and shouldn't be here, but we are talking about fear here, so rock on Troubador! blaugh
Or, should I say TroubadordNeuf!

Well that was... frank. The best thing about this guild is that we don't really penalise people for chipping in their two cents, or shekels, as it were.
I haven't had a piece of gum for 2 years purely for the fact that I think it will cement my jaws shut. And, on a slightly more drastic note on fear, I developed acute arachnophobia. I cannot see a spider without breaking out into sweat, having massive panic attacks, screaming or running for my life. If a spider has been in a room and I saw it in there, I won't go in that room until someone removes it and sprays the room with bug-killer. And then I'll wait a week to make sure it's 100% safe. The last time a spider touched me, I didn't stop screaming for 3 hours. My mind wasn't working. All that I could think of was how afraid I was. I nearly passed out.

I have a aimilar thing about gum, just about cementing my throat. Also, I used to be really bad about not swallowing it, so... I have entophobia; all bugs scare me. Ironically, a room would become contaminated if bug- killer were in it. I have issues with industrial contaminants and chemicals.

On another thead, I gave silent-death_is_loud a funny nickanme ('Jewno,' I know not very mature) and then begged her for forgiveness on, like, two threads at once and she didn't care. Scrupulosity?
Just remember that if you see those threads. You heard it here first.

I'm sure silent can vouch that I am one crazy guy!
I once described my own mind as 'delightfully feverish.'
